  1. Do you guys think there will be a big exodus to the NFL this offseason.. I'm thinking a guy like Kenny Lawler might want to give it a shot. I just think that missing a year of football might make it harder for guys like him to land a contract.
  2. Any word on Grant and Kongbo who tried the NFL and I don't believe either of them stuck.
  3. I wasn't suggesting that she was chosen versus somebody else so that she doesn't have to face opposition. Im saying that I think they will have Biden step down at some point so that she doesn't need to face opposition before the next election. I don't think she's relatable and if so who is she related to? I think she was chosen because she's extremely malleable and will change who she is and what her positions are to match what benefits her in a specific time period. And she can be sold to white progressives as being progressive even though historically she is not. The biggest fear the democrat establishment has is the social democrats and they don't want Kamala to have to run against someone like AOC who will pressure all other candidates to take on extreme positions.
  4. I don't view it so much as preventing him from being president but moreso as an easy way out. Im talking about the Hunter Biden Scandals which involve Joe Biden in the role of "the big guy". My view is that Biden never really wanted to run for President but that he kind of got roped into it and that at some point the plan is for him to step down and have Kamala Harris take over so that she is the incumbent in the next election and doesn't face opposition in her own party. I would imagine that scandals or health issues will be the reason provided for Biden stepping down. Hohoho.. Biden had nothing to do with the voter fraud. He's lucky if he can dress himself.
  5. Yeah well.. It's pretty obvious at this point that he's going to be president. The bigger threat is maybe his health or scandals but in that case it would be Kamala who gets sworn in.
  6. President-Elect Joe Biden!
  7. Yeah well every once in a while even a blind squirrel finds an acorn. Bitcoin is the real deal and institutional money is pouring into it these days. Its basically digital gold and as a result of bitcoin Gold is suffering during a period of time it would normally be doing quite well.
  8. Bitcoin finally broke through the elusive 20k threshold today and is still only in the beginning of a long bullrun. Just curious if anyone else is invested in crpyto?
  9. If there is a season it's going to be awfully interesting to see two draft classes worth of Canadian rookies competing for a handful of jobs.
  10. Not looking good for Joe here.
  11. I never said he was a man of peace. He doesn't believe in direct american involvement in long occupations. Selling weapons to other countries is nothing new. It would be a big improvement over Trump and previous Presidential regimes for a presidential candidate to propose to bring the troops home as well as to stop selling arms to other countries.
  12. See that's where people lose me. Trump is not a fascist or a dictator. He's a mild reformer with a bad attitude. Please expand on extra-judicial killings? Ignoring due process and encouraging vigilante groups so i know what it is I'm reacting to. Trump has put in some big warhawks and then he's had to fire them. When he first took over office there was a big attempt from the neo conservative swamp who's loyalty had been purchased by weapons manufacturers to push their kind of people into the administration. Trump has been tough enough to stand up to them and eventually they've quit or been fired. When people like Mattis and Bolton can't work with him you know he's got the right positions on war on he's tough. I don't care whether Trump is out to benefit himself or not. I refuse to view any politician as being authentic and caring about people. What matters is what changes they implement and whether those changes will be long lasting. I view the constant bickering about something Trump said on Twitter or something he said to a reporter as smoke and mirrors to avoid having to talk about real issues. It just really ticks me off when people like Michael Moore who have so much in common with Trump can't even acknowledge that some of what Trump has done as been for the better. A lot of what Trump got elected on was strait out of Michael Moore's playbook. First of all is appearance. Michael Moore a millionaire has a tendency of dressing down and wearing cheap looking hats so that the average Joe can relate to him even though he's rich and they aren't. Queue the MAGA hats. Trump campaigned against the evil Big Business who farmed jobs China. He stood in front of the Ford factory and blasted them for doing this. This was inspired of coarse by Roger and Me. After taking so much inspiration from Moore he has the audacity to say after Trump is elected that we need to oppose everything that Trump does. Just wow. And now Trump seems to be trying to work in some of the themes from Bowling for Columbine. The point of that movie was that all a lot of the reason for violence and toxicity in America is being Americans live in fear which is instilled in them by the media. Trump removed his mask in front of the white house after surviving a battle with Covid 19 and talked about not living in fear. Man this triggered the media as they've been making a good living for years now by instilling fear into people and they can't stand anyone who F's with that.
  13. Trump is the first president to talk openly and negatively about the american military industrial complex since Dwight Eisenhower. He somehow found a way to stand up to them and stop the spread of war while still satiating republicans by dropping the odd bomb and talking up how great America is. I don't think he got as close to war with Iran as you would think. America doesn't go to war unless they invade someone. Iran isn't going to be invading the United States anymore than they would China. It's a death wish. My biggest concern here is that if Trump loses you will never again see a Republican who takes the approach that Trump does towards war. It will end up being business as usual and the neocons who left the party or were flushed out will return and take over the party again. It's going to be really concerning. My hope is that if Trump wins again he will be viewed similar to Regan in having a winning formula of policies including his policies on war. He will be then followed by Republicans who continue some of his policies like standing up for factory workers and fighting economic wars rather then military wars. Someone who is much better spoken and doesn't constantly offend everyone. If Biden wins with guys like Colin Powell at his side how do you think that the Republicans will try and defeat the democrats the next time? Well.. by moving further to the right than Biden is on war. That's scary as hell. In terms of Justice Reform Trump has already made big inroads on the issue passing a historic bill to that effect and removing many of the draconian polices that Biden among others had implemented. Im not convinced that Biden is the guy that's going to actually get these kinds of reform bills passed. He's not going to be able to work together with enough senators to do so. Not even Obama could get these types of bills passed. I guess i can tolerate Trump's pandering to evangelicals more because I know he's just pandering. Clearly he hasn't become and Christian and he doesn't care about these issues. Its much more difficult for me to stomach these types of policies coming from a true believer like Andrew Scheer.I greatly prefer secular conservatives to religious ones. I would consider voting for the conservatives federally next time if my local candidate wasn't Ted Falk. The new leader of the conservative party is secular and pro choice. Its not at all irrational to dislike the democrats given the way they have treated Bernie Sanders. I had no problems with the democrats when Obama was president I can assure you of that. I don't know what anyone would want to identify with a political party or adopt and defend all the policies of one political party over another. I take things on an issue by issue basis. I won't conform to a specific dogma.
  14. What i don't like about him is that he's far too right wing for me on war. Im sure establishment democrats will vote for him but many progressives will pass. I don't even think he's a moderate democrat. He's a right wing democrat. He brought in the horrible laws that throws people in jail for being addicted to drugs. But I don't like he the most because he was the candidate that was used to block Bernie Sanders. Biden was very few people's first choice. A lot of people were preferring Buitigag in the right wing establishment democrat lane because they felt Joe Biden was too old. I don't view Biden as a serious candidate to be President. He's the candidate who was used to block Bernie and is now being used to try and win the white house back but is unlikely to be making real decisions and unlikely to fulfill his term. On social issues I'm left leaning and I thought I was on war as well but it doesn't look like the democrats are actually anti-war. I like some progressive ideas when it comes to economics and some right wing ideas. I like Universal basic income to replace old age pension and welfare. As wellfare is anti-productive because its really hard to get off of wellfare. Its hard to go from wellfare to fulltime employment. The natural step for many on wellfare would be to work part time at first but the problem is that a large percent of their welfare income is reduced when they work part time minimum wage so they often don't bother. Universal income would make more sense and would provide for full incentive to at least work part time. I don't agree with progressive on the tax code though. I think that if the wealthy had to pay 90% tax rate it would cause a negative trickle down effect. When it comes to law and order I'm a fan of it. I want enforcement of laws but I also want many things legalized like drug use. Having drugs being illegal makes them that much cooler to young people which i think ends up increasing their usage. Weed is one thing but when they start getting into stuff like crystal meth it really can ruin their lives. I'm a believer in requiring people who are caught doing drugs to seek education on drugs as well as programs designed to help them get off of drugs rather than sending people who have an addiction to jail for possessing drugs which further damages their lives and their prospects of getting clean. Overall I identify most as being progressive but really I'm an independent. It does nothing to the point I made that it's common sense that there's something fishy about the Hunter Biden story. At most it speaks negatively towards Rudy Guiliani and his lack of credibility.
  15. You don't need to make things up to make Joe Biden seem unappealing. He does a fine enough job of that on his own. I'm not going to speak to the legitimacy of the leak but it deserves to be vetted. One thing is clear and that's that the whole thing seems extremely fishy. A man who was kicked out of the military for drug use and has zero expertise in oil and gas and is given 20 million dollars a year to sit on the board of a ukrainian oil and gas company while his father is the Vice President of the United States. What's one thing about that that makes sense? One thing people need to keep in mind about Fox News and other Networks is that there is a big difference between the journalistic integrity on a show like Hannity or Tucker and the actual news hour. Hannity and Tucker are hosting shows that are primarly there for entertainment purposes and are opinion based. Similar to the difference you'd see during CNN's news hour and Don Lemon.
  16. It's since been authenticated when Biden's lawyer asked if his client could have "his" laptop back.
  17. Ok. I’m glad there are so many great sources out there that never make mistakes.
  18. IMO they should get rid of the birther rule. You can be the governor of California and be born in Austria. But you can't be born outside of America and be president.
  19. He would work the birther angle against any competitor who wasn't born in Canada. He hit every competitor that opposed him with as much furocity that he could regardless of if their name was Bush or Cruz.
  20. I believe that simply jogging people’s memory that Trump was just as vigorous a birther on Ted Cruz says all we need to know about whether birtherism is racially motivated. I’m not implying that Obama was bad. I’m saying that a Biden Presidency would be somewhere in between Obama and Bush and a return to normal. Obama is someone I would have voted for both times had I been an American. My only real complaint about him was that I was expecting more of anti-war President and that didn’t end up being the case.
  21. True. But we aren’t being offered better. It’s Trump or Biden. Biden would be worse than Obama and slightly better than Bush.
  22. Instagram memes. Jkjk I read articles on the internet. YouTube. Democracy Now, Jimmy Dore, Styxhexenammer ect. One of the benefits of Trump losing is that things will hopefully get back to normal. However, it don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Trump is going to lose. If Trump loses it will sure be interesting to watch what happens. I expect some fireworks either way. Personally I expect more violence if he wins than if he loses.
  23. I agree with everything you’ve said here. I’ve never intended to suggest that Trump isn’t a gong show.
  24. I can honestly tell you that I do not watch the mainstream media anymore. After those whole Russiagate misinformation media failure I decided to stop watching it because I didn't want to continue to be misinformed. The whole "shithole countries" thing would be an example of xenophobia if he indeed said that. I'm well aware the Trump is xenophobic. Its the kind of thing I could see him saying but witnesses are split on whether he said it or not. In terms of birtherism. Trump was wrong to get involved with the movement. He probably had a more credible case to make when he started the Ted Cruz birther movement.
