  1. By the time wilkenson can hold 310 pounds on his frame the cfl will only have 5 Canadian starters.
  2. I imagine he fell over lack of weight. He’s listed at 270.
  3. With that 40 yard time I don’t see him being anywhere else.
  4. Since when are we not thrilled when Winnipeg drafts a local player?
  5. Not wrong. Surprised he’s still on the board.
  6. Well. The guy we just drafted is a center and gonna be good pretty quickly. Couture may not have the size for any position other than center and he isn’t even a natural center.
  7. Will somebody remind Hamilton that the regional portion of the draft hasn’t started yet.
  8. I’m certainly not going to complain if it happens. Don’t get me wrong. Looks like couture won’t be a starter for long if at all.
  9. I’d be surprised if he’s on the board at that point. But I’m not sure another offensive lineman makes sense at this point. How many can you actually carry. We’d be drafting a guy to sit on the dev roster until Neufeld gets carted off I guess.
  10. Argos seemed more focused on drafting a player who would agree to a 3 year deal than drafting the best talent.
  11. I wonder if Simba will end up being a lion?
  12. Ungerer. I’d pick him based on name alone.
  13. Makes sense they picked kongbo if they don’t budget for 2 first round picks. He will get 6 gamed which will mean only 2/3 of his salary counts against the cap.
  14. In all likelihood Montreal would be the team most interested in something like that. Given they have 3 seconds and zero firsts.
  15. I can’t handle the idea that the cfl’s issues run deeper than Montreal and Toronto right now. Mike Reilly could really help attendance in BC.
  16. That’s way better odds than any undrafted rookie gets. And why had that been?
  17. Does the fact that the mood was productive not prove that steps taken by the league and the players to up the intensity were justified?
  18. By my count after the guys they released and the one they added Winnipeg is currently sitting at 68 so I would expect a bunch more names will and can be added soon.
  19. Bombers actually made 12 cuts in total. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/04/29/bombers-add-receiver-josh-stewart-release-12-players/
  20. Bombers have also released WR Evan Clarke, WR Dominique Williams, and RB Jalen Simmons.
  21. Bombers have inked WR Josh Steward who is in mini-camp and played a few games in the AAF. He's 6'4 204 pounds.
  22. A billionaire owner in the CFL works pretty well because any losses are like a drop in a bucket for them while they work on turning things around. Plus they have pro sports experience. Seems like an ideal situation for Montreal.
  23. https://3downnation.com/2019/04/29/cfl-leaning-towards-selling-alouettes-to-group-involving-montreal-businessman-stephen-bronfman/ Looks like the CFL is going to sell the als to Stephen Bronfman. Don't know much about him except for that he's the son of billionaire Charles Bronfman who owned the Expos from 1968 to 1990.
  24. 3downnation is reporting now that there are 3 remaining teams who are interested. Hamilton, Sask and Toronto. They all have concerns however about age and injury potential. So basically they are all looking for a bargain.
  25. I agree with you on how things haven't been explained very well. But I must that this has been a great offseason for CFL attention. I feel like every day there has been something newsworthy happening in the CFL. The global stuff has been great for publicity, you had the Bo Levi Mitchell NFL Saga, then you had huge contracts going to several top QBs, more global stuff, the CFLPA negotiations. All this without even mentioning Duron Carter and his twitter battles or discussions on how the AAF would affect the CFL. It's been an offseason where the CFL has been able to consistently keep people's attention. Not a bad thing at all.
