  1. I suggest riders fan give moments of silence throughout the entire game as a show of respect.
  2. They should have just given nods to the entire bombers offensive line.
  3. https://www.cfl.ca/2018/11/02/players-say-eighth-annual-tsn-poll/ Several bombers made the list this year. Adam Bighill hardest hitter in the league and one of the toughest guys in the league. Was very happy to see Suhk Chung was the highest ranking offensive lineman for the nastiest player in the league. Gotta get this guy re-signed. Interesting read.
  4. Any word on Flanders?
  5. Agreed. I think it has to do with missing those games early in the year and playing with a brace and likely a still injured knee has affected his confidence. Thankfully, he's looked better lately. Mixing in Streveler as much as we have and the run game has also worked against Nichols posting a 300 yard passing game. In other news. Masoli has posted a worse record than Nichols and plenty of 300 yard passing games. Same with Mike Reilly.
  6. Even if he is good enough nfl teams aren’t looking for 29 year old undrafted free agents. If he was setting records maybe they would be more interest. I don’t see him as the type of guy who would be offered any significant bonus money in the nfl. They would look at him as a training camp arm.
  7. Yeah.. One week into the 10 week AAF season he would be free to sign there. Don't see any CFL qb capable of making 450k all but guarenteed in the cfl going to the aaf to see how well they compete in the american game versus a plethora of former NFL and college stars.
  8. Hopefully he gets replaced by Jamel Lyles next season.
  9. He's the kind of guy who may really benefit from the NHL expanding into Seattle.
  10. I believe when we signed him he had a year remaining. It makes sense that he signed an extension at that time which made it so that he would be paid like a starter in 2017 and he accepted the 2018 year in exchange for that. It's possible that it could be a different situation now that we are competing with other teams for his services. I hope im wrong but just saying.
  11. I have to say I agree with you. We are far better at drafting and developing Canadian offensive lineman than scouting and developing "beast mode" middle linebackers. Having said that I'd greatly prefer to trade Neufeld in the offseason and re-sign Chung to a long term deal. But if we did lose him we'd be fine. We would just draft another offensive lineman with our pick or BC's. We are already in a position where there aren't really jobs open for Canadians on the offensive line or receiving core and it's hard to see us using either of our first round picks at those positions unless Chung moves on. The Canadian talent on this team is as good as i've seen it since i started following this team in 1989. Having said all this Chung is still high priority. But if he comes back we are probably in a situation where we are drafting heavily on defense or we draft another guy who's going to the NFL for a year or two. It's an embarrassment of riches.
  12. It’s hard to say without knowing his personal situation. Coaching is also a factor. Players like to play for coach O’Shea. Harris has his daughter in Winnipeg. In the case of Demski I think it had as much to do with the role he would have in Winnipeg’s offence than anything.
  13. The key is not letting it get to that point.
  14. We can find ways to shed salary if we need to ante up for Chung. He’s going to be right up there with Adam Bighill. Teams generally don’t let good young Canadian lineman make it to free agency. Even if we need to move on from Bryant and Neufeld it would be worth it.
  15. I only see is losing Chung if he tries the NFL.
  16. One thing I will say in defence of the bombers is that they did add Adam Bighill after the free agent spending period was over. That add wasn’t cheap and was more impactful then the kind of moves the other teams are making.
  17. While i agree we should have added a veteran receiver I don't think that CFL draft picks are nothing more than magic beans. But for a 3rd or 4th round pick i think it would have been worth it to get a guy like SJ Green. However, if the asking price was a 1st or 2nd i wouldn't have agreed with it.
  18. He would need to be on a two year deal. Doesn’t seem to be working for him in the cfl.
  19. Legget is done. Time to move on.
  20. Yet the team wins far more often when he plays than when he doesn’t...
  21. I would rather send poolman down and wait for injuries. We need to hold onto the depth we have. Poolman doesn’t impress me all that much. He seems like more of a depth guy than a potential difference maker.
  22. I would think that an deal for Durant would have to involve cash coming to Winnipeg. Out of principle alone.
  23. Seems like more of a depth move as Johnson has battled injuries and they don't have a proper runningback when he goes down.
  24. I just read an article in the Winnipeg Sun and he is waiver except still. https://winnipegsun.com/sports/hockey/nhl/winnipeg-jets/niku-shines-with-pair-of-goalsjets-defence-battle-heating-upbrossoit-gets-2nd-look "That could work against Tucker Poolman, who is the only member of the competition (of the eight) who is exempt from waivers this season."
  25. http://3downnation.com/2018/09/24/darian-durant-hints-at-possible-comeback-this-season/ Darian Durant continues to talk about a potential comeback. He seems to suggest there are some way around the fact that he's Winnipeg Blue Bombers property and that he plans on pursuing that. The only way around it other than Winnipeg trading his rights that i can think of is reporting. This would force Winnipeg to either welcome him into the dressing room, cut him, or trade him.
