Manziel is now even more likely to sign in the cfl which might shake a qb lose from Hamilton. https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/tamu-football/report-new-england-patriots-no-longer-considering-signing-johnny-manziel/

I think Streveler could run a mean short yardage unit. He’s big and he’s runs a 4.5 40...
-
I kind of doubt that Montreal cuts their cfl experience guy. Whatever happens to Cato?
-
I found a pretty good interview of Chris Streveler online though some of you might enjoy learning more about his and his character.

I really wonder if we knew there was a chance that Durant would retire when we decided to load up on a dredt pick for next season. If worse comes to worse we do have an extra pick next year we can dangle.
-
We need to take this opportunity and actually find and develop a qb. But I like a vet for 3rd string. Give the 2nd string reps to someone with upside.
-
Some guys stay in shape. Just saying we should check into it. He will have plenty of time to get in shape as the scout team guy. I want that rookie from SD to be the backup
-
Would be worth it to force him to stand in front of bomber fans.
-
We should check in with Dan Lefevour. At least he can run a good short yardage and knows the offense .
-
Hopefully the hall of fame game is in Winnipeg the year Darant gets in.
-
The best option would be to see what we’ve got in training camp and perhaps look at some cuts from other teams if the guys we have can’t perform.
-
Early in camp you don’t want to just have 4 qbs. I imagine they signed Mahoney after Durant retired not so much to compete for the back job but to be that 4th qb so the other 3 don’t get too warn down. The nice thing about this guy is I don’t think he takes up a roster spot because he is treated as a draft pick so it gives them some freedom roster wise.
-
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up #2
-
I started listening but i just couldn't listen to that BS.
-
Even if he did deserve it which he doesn't.. My God how he can feel that Winnipeg is the organization that should be giving it to him out of charity!!
-
Is this for real? He did absolutely nothing to earn that money. That's like losing your job a pepsi and then robbing coke for 70k. He was already way overpaid for his performance the past few years in the CFL.
-
So much for players having any beef with teams that cut players to avoid bonuses It’s a too way street or treachery.
-
Not surprised to see Donteea Dye signed. I had watched the most recent season of NFL Film's Hardknocks on HBO and he was heavily featured. He was better than the rookie receiver they had kept instead of him but the other guy was cheaper and had a higher potential ceiling. He was pretty surprised he got cut but that's just what happens in the NFL after a couple years in the league. He's a polished receiver.
-
Maybe he can learn how to keep Calgary’s offensive line from having career ending injuries.
-
He will most be remembered for being the guy who had the ball in his hands rather than Bo Levi’s preference of either himself or Jerome’s hands
-
I think Kyrie Wilson will factor into the middle linebacker competition as well. There’s lots of competition. Like you say whoever it is will be a massive upgrade over Hurl.
-
Out of the two posts Mike’s was less nasty.

Calgary isn’t getting better. They are trying to fill massive holes on their offensive line to try and make up for busts in previous years. After the third round you rarely get anything of long term substance. So the bombers basically solidified their agenda of starting two Canadian receivers by drafting 2 of the top 3 or 4 receivers in the draft including Simonise who has the potential to be one of the top Canadian receivers in the league if he and the bombers are able to get him back to where he was when he played for the Dinos. There was nothing that would have been available at pick 7 that was going to make this team better this season. It would have been another backup offensive lineman who’s gonna take a couple years to develop.
-
If in fact there were better offensive lineman available at the number 7 spot than Walters predicted the nice thing about this is they didn’t give away their pick. It should result in a top 3 pick next year from BC. Secondly without this trade there’s a good chance Simonise would not have been on he board when our 2nd round pick came around. The trade to me really hinges on how good spooner and the developmental guy from last year are. If they are legit future starters than it was a good trade because we are going to have trouble protecting all these guys. Especially if Gray joins the team later this year.

I wonder how Brett Blaszko feel right now?
