  1. As much as I like Bond he’s gonna be pricey and it’s simply time for us to go with 3 Canadians on the offensive line. We have Neufeld who can take the pressure off Couture but Couture should be ready. We also have Spooner coming back as a second year guy and will likely continue to draft and develop offensive lineman. You don’t make the comittment we made to drafting and developing offensive lineman to start 2 Canadians there long term.
  2. My problem with Davis is that he already had a rap as guy who gave up on his reads too quickly and threw to his check down too often. When he played this year he seemed to really struggle with reading defenses. Dave Dickenson struggled in his first game but he didn’t have a bad rap before the stamps signed him.
  3. It’s just that I was referring to Davis looking shaky not Durant. I’m all in on Durant coming here.
  4. The problem was that he looked incredibly shaky. It would be one thing if he looked confident out there but for whatever reason the offense was stalling. However, that wasn’t the case.
  5. He’s already shown enough upside considering it was just 3rd round pick we gave up. We’ve continually drafted worse receivers higher up than that.
  6. Spooner has a long long way to go. He’s considered a major project at this point. If Gray come up here within the next couple of years I wouldn’t be surprised if Spooner doesn’t ever start a game for us.
  7. Even the first round can be a crapshoot in the cfl. Overall it’s about acquiring depth and some prototypical CFL starters and the odd genius pick turns into a ratio breaker. We’ve acquired plenty of all three since Walters took over. I’ve got zero complaints when looking at the macro of his drafting.
  8. Wait a minute. Are people actually complaining about Walter’s drafting?
  9. Not surprised he took the shot at making some money. He is down there to try and make it immediealty. If that doesn’t work for him quickly he’ll likely come home and study while playing. He’s not playing the waiting game and taking his shot.
  10. The outcome on this play was a key moment and the missed offside call on Edmonton were turning points. But I’m more concerned about correcting the correctinle issues. We need to fire Hall and replace him with Noel Thorpe. We need our defense to become the strength on this team not the weakness. That will make a few key outcomes during the game a moot point.
  11. I can’t believe Hall still has a job. This should have been one of those knee jerk reaction firings. He should be gone already!
  12. Hall needs to be gone this off-season. We need somebody who doesn’t just ask a player to take on blocks. We need a defensive coordinator who asks his players to beat blocks!
  13. I would think that a deal similar to the one Westerman got would be fair. To me it's logical we sign Mulumba and let Westerman hit the market as he's going to be a free-agent and getting older (takes too many penalties). Its possible that Mulumba's agent is asking for a rediculous offer. Like Ted Laurant money or something like that. In that case we should trade his right to the highest bidder and try and re-sign Westerman.
  14. I sure hope Winnipeg brings back khalil bass now that he's been released from Ottawa.
  15. I'll always struggle with that with my ADD. I'm always in a rush for no reason
  16. Good riddens to that site and the ahole who ran it!!!!
  17. Cap space move for Mulumba lol
  18. After the Riders hot start Winnipeg actually played a decent game. Under normal circumstances a couple of the turnovers deep would have been field goals had they not been playing from behind. The key will be to not allow the riders to swarm the bombers in the first quarter. We have the advantage here since we will adapt to what the riders were doing that worked against us. It's not incoming in the cfl for teams to get streaky and then plummet. Winnipeg was the team to stop Edmonton and then they were exposed and got cold pretty quick. Hopefully we can do the same to the Riders this week.
  19. Anybody think Mulumba could play middle linebacker in the cfl??
  20. Gray would be better off coming directly to the CFL. Start within 2 years. Dominate within 4 and then take a shot at the NFL while he's still young enough to be appealing.
  21. You could very well be right about his freakish size. However, in total between tackles, guards, and centers there were only 42 players selected last year in the draft. It would really be a case of coming off the board to draft him IMO. It would be interested to see high how he would go in the CFL is he is undrafted but receives a free agent contract with a small or minimal bonus. Would love to see this guy be the next Chris Walby here in Winnipeg.
  22. BTW. Last year in the NFL draft only 11 offensive guards were selected. It's hard to imagine Gray even coming close to being drafted in the NFL.
  23. This move would make a lot of sense to me. He can add depth and rotate with Jake Thomas. Hopefully we can draft a beast to contribute to the DT position as well.
  24. I would imagine that we didn't have the opportunity or finances for him that the Riders were able to provide.
  25. I'd be interested in Chambers. I'm tired of Kohlert's drops considering the only thing he was bringing to the table was supposed to be sure hands. Chamber's has the ability to be more dynamic if you take advantage of him like I know Paul LaPolice would be capable of. I'm also interest in Gale to add a little bit more experience behind Nichols and somebody to push Dom Davis for the backup job.
