2014= new and rookie CEO/prez (miller), not as new but still first time GM (Walters - was assistant gm previously i think to mack) and rookie HC (OShea). Some people might have been turned off by the inexperience, not because they couldn't be a good working group, but they just don't know, and that's a huge gamble your betting your own reputation/job on in coming into the unknown. 2016 - 3rd year for all 3, now other coaches can get a better feel for what these guys bring to the table and direction/vision they have. much better for confidence and reassurance. Flip side much easier to say thanks but no thanks quicker too. Are the bombers a powerhouse, hell no. but I think factoring in the injuries we sustained (yes yes everyone had injuries) some coaches will for sure see some upside that maybe they feel they could help contribute to turning it around. My guess is in 2014 we didnt get many looks from experienced and seasoned coaches. 3 years later i bet the number of inquiries about jobs here grows substantially, like from 1 guy calling to maybe 4!!!

Leggett thinks we need to get tougher meaner

the 2001 team is what really got me hooked on the bombers (not having the jets around helped at that time too). other then the 7-1 start of 2007, i dont think that team was even close. iirc in 2001 we went on a 12 game win streak? -
I wonder if they put more faith in Osh's defensive mind to compensate Etch's D. It wasnt unrealistic for them to wanna surround Osh with experience being a rookie HC, and the knock on Etch was he was easily figured out by Labour Day, I wonder if they thought Oshea would be hitting a bit of stride by that point and helping shake up the etch-a-sketch board

I believe the media will vote sinopli, but I think it goes without saying westerman is probably a close runner up for Dmop (bighill ahead of him but only 1 can rep the west), can you say the same about sinopli for mop? That alone should give westerman the nod but apparently feel good stories usually stand in the way of logic

would it help sooth the insanity if at the very least we had a ton of rumors floating around about who is coming in like the riders typically do? some false sense of optimism amidst a pile of ****

I like beer festivals, very educational. such as stout beer is warm spit in a cup

lol you can call him Richard Tracy, unless your actually calling him something other then ****

So what record will O'Shea have to achieve next year to earn another contract? 9-9? 10-8? Surely it must be better then .500. Not one single person said "close to .500"... every response before yours said minimum 9-9 or better... I agree we should be looking at 10-8 or 11-7... don't make stuff up to ridicule every poster on this forum... Also a 9-9 season is a playoff berth in the CFL. id be ok with 9-9 as long as we didnt look like **** in those losses as well

I gotta think pending a justice league movie success were bound for an occasional justice league spin off show on a few of these series like flash, arrow, gotham (eventually). I think wonder woman series would have been better then what supergirls been

Wasnt he with the riders before us? Did he bash them, at least for personal reasons not just cuz its the cool thing to do -
9-9 minimum, while its not hard to improve on this year I think thats a good improvement bar to hit and realistic. Would at least warrant a 4th year imo, where the bar is set higher

Osh is rookie enough for me, Id love an experienced coach who has had success to help him (which was the idea behind etch, MB and Hall, but there was a lot to be desired in each of their track records, especially the first 2. I honestly think a rookie OC would be the death blow to Osheas HC life as a bomber. having yet another guy trying to get his feet wet especially with a defensive minded HC would likely have too many risks of failing

Lol I said it wasnt bad, thats a pretty good compliment from me kinda feels like its popular mechanics for adults at times, but still enjoying the show. I dont know how eager id be to see what happens next if it wasnt for the last few minutes of each episode. Like the episode has a clean finish then they dangle something. Kind of like izombie having a brief but more captivating secondary story each week ** i've watched a lot of Marvel movies I kinda knew wouldnt be the **** mcgee, solely for the little glimpse during the credits of, at the time(s) avengers build up and even after infinity stone saga. I think DC's trying to emulate that same magic but with tv

after 10 episodes of the flash, I have concluded 1. it has to be sponsored by coffee and science. and 2. while its not a bad show, the last 3 mins of each show is really what makes the next episode must see. clever

I think Mike Kellys labelling of Bomber fans as bipolar has been a defamation of character we havent been able to shake and might have cost us a few fragile ego'd coaches. a change in the cultures attitude is a must and it all starts on the message boards and the stands. I blame Nate.

Thats why I try not to quote, then everyone can feel like i'm talking directly to them, but most people dont quote me so it's fitting that im realistically just talking to myself

after such a deflating season, I hold out a little hope that MB was the main culprit, and I hope Oshea has a good year enough to see him grow into a good HC. Our teams got better with him controlling it, our Defense was better, and could still be alot better with a few tweaks and competent offense to give them some breaks. If they turned it around next year, I could accept the learning curve bumps in year 1 and 2 and look forward to year 4

a disgruntled player when playing the bombers due to a voicemail saying they werent going to offer him a new contract. Im a text kinda guy myself so i understand completely actually ive been dumped on xmas via voicemail before, due to my own xmas eve drunkness calling out an ex gf's name, but voicemail break up!? theeee worst cuz you cant rebuttal -
I have too, its usually bittersweet as it draws to a close. but I dont think MOS should approach this season any different as any other, in a performance based job, he should know he hasnt really got the results needed for job security, but still has an opportunity to turn it around
-
unless you like the track record we have of paying coaches after we release them. Come join the bombers, get a year or 2 paid vacation

Maybe the fact Jovon lit it up fairly recently after taking to twitter gave his vote #s a boost. not sure what the stats are for players talking smack then falling on their face, but he did the opposite and walked what he talked -
I wouldnt pay too much for him. hes like Thorton, puts up good regular season stats then disappears in the post season. I think I just f'n hate san jose. Thorton, Cheechoo and marleau have done my playoff pools dirty a few times. F' em lol

I didnt follow the Rays all that closely (not much at all really) and Kiermaier who won the gold glove over Pillar had a league leading 42 saved runs, but I still think it was robbery. Pillar was a human highlight reel this year defensively. I dont even think im saying that biasedly as a jays fan
