Looking Ahead: Winnipeg Vs BC
Taynted_Fayth replied to Taynted_Fayth's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I realize rotations happen to give players breather or for specific play calls, but are you suggesting Awe and/or Davis are 1B 1C to Burnett? they have not been rotated that frequently to suggest they are on the same level -

gotta cheer for the stamps. As long as every other team stays ahead of the riders they are all likely in the playoffs (4th getting cross over) if we win tonight and stamps win tomorrow every team in the west will have a 4+ point cushion on the riders -

well for the Ticats unloading him or outright releasing him is where they would find the money for Manziel, but I think they would try and work a trade first, if no one bites, then as Atomic just posted you could 6 game him too. If another team picked up Collaros I'm sure they would try to restructure his contract -

I'd imagine if the Ticats are heading in that direction, they would unload Collaros. Probably swing a trade to Sask for a receiver and draft picks -

with regards to LG and RG the OP put the RG as an import and LG as a NI, so it's just roster shuffling, and their salaries move with them. As for Stephen, if he's a NI even better! more ratio flexibility lol That may have me reconsider Pruneau at SAM for Leggett then
-
Without knowing what they make this will be tough, I'll just go with starters for now with the above listed prices and ratio options; BLM (QB1) - $450K Arceneaux (WR1) - $180K Carter (WR2) - $130K Dressler (SB1) - $140K Zylstra (SB2) - $110K Demski (SB3*) - $90K Bond (RG) - $110K Federkeil (RT*) - $150K Sorenson (C*) - $180K Chungh (LG*) - $160K Olafioye (LT) - $160K Sutton (RB) (though I'd take Harris first and foremost, and offer him more instead of having 3 FBs listed) - $75K anyone for FB - lets go with Lumbala as i think he blocks well - $63K Medlock (K/P) - $110K (would need to give him some off the books incentives) Butler (DE) - $90K (hoping hes on a cheap contract atm since he's a rookie/first contract) Evans (DL*) - $140K Nevis (DL) - $100K There's not a whole lot of NI DE's to take, most are DTs. Corney? but he wouldn't command $140K I'd take Lemon for that price Pruneau (SAM*) - $115K (I'm switching my NI from safety to SAM) Elimimian (MLB) - $160K Hebert (WIL) - $110K Randle (CB) - $120K Heath (HB) - $75K Stephens (S) - $110K Lee (HB) - $85K Evans (CB) - $84K so that totals; $3.437m for my starting 24 + Kicker and a FB of my 46 man roster; 20 players / remaining cap space of $1.712m = $85, 600 salaries per player or some top ups on a few and a some min. contracts for the back ups and teamers

If you liked the other 2 then you'd probably like this 3rd one. There are some good points of the movie that make it enjoyable, and do explain some in a little more detail what's exactly going on with the humans and how they end up basically cattle in the future/originals, but at times it's really dragged out then really rushed at the end. 1 thing I did commend the writers on doing in this reboot, is making the apes the heroes and the ones you're cheering for. In the originals everyone hated those damn dirty apes, so it's a nice role reversal as you see more of what exactly transpires from the start
-
I went and saw War for the Planet of the Apes this past tuesday. While it wasn't that bad of a movie I wouldn't spend money to see it. I'll post my thoughts on it in spoiler mode

I am certainly NOT interest in PR2. Maybe they feel they missed the boat on merchandise (toys) and are hoping to catch some lightning in a bottle with a better received sequel?

Not sure where to put this, but I was just watching Justin Dunk on Tim and Sid, on top of what seemed like he was taking a shot at rider fans, he said based on the NFL ppl and CFL ppl he's talked to Johnny Manziel may be coming to the CFL some point this year or next year. Dunk's got some pretty good connections so I put some stock into what he says. Since Hamilton owns his rights, if Collaros continues to struggle, do we see Manziel come in and Masoli take over #1 say by LDC? -

yeah im just looking at the lions depth chart https://d3ham790trbkqy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/06/BC-Lions-vs-Winnipeg-2-July-21.pdf Forde seems a little light for a DT @ 262 lbs -

If you say so. Anytime you lose your starters your likely dropping back a bit in talent (or the back ups would be the starters?) Awe and Davis being primarily S.Teamers have a lot to prove before I say they are good depth that won't see a drop off in talent at LB. Who replaces Bryant Turner Jr at DT? -
EDMONTON ESKIMOS @ HAMILTON TIGER-CATS
Taynted_Fayth replied to Mr Dee's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
fortunate for the esks they play hamilton 2 out of the next 3 weeks. Hopefully Bowman is still on the 6 game for our match up in 4 weeks -
2 hanging suicides 2 months (and 2 days) apart... hope this isn't the start of some tragic trend. If these musicians are getting burnt out or need some rehab, they should really take a break for themselves and **** the tours. Reading Bennington leaves behind 6 kids (based on a pic looks like aged 5-18 or so) that's brutal

that's pretty significant, wouldn't say as significant as not having wild and leggett, but still a huge impact to their D -

I also think Lulay playing caught the ticats off guard. You spend all week watching film on Jennings and his tendencies, then 1 play in... bam, you're up against a new QB. Lulay had a heck of a game, for sure, but I wonder what affect that has on the opposing D's ability to adjust accordingly on the fly -

I'm not too concerned about Johnson TBH, Wpg ranks 1st in run stoppage against others teams (41.7 yards per game average / 2.8 yards per carry average). during our bye week I was talking with my buddy that works with the bombers and as excited as we are to see what Poop and Nevis bring to the interior pass rush, they were primarily being looked at as run stoppers. they absolutely clog that middle like a toilet after taco tuesday -

I think they just elected to give thorpe a look. From the sounds of it, it was essentially Thorpe spot to begin with but he was hurt -

if Randle and Heath can shut down Arceneaux and Burnham and our DL gets to lulay early and often i'm not too concerned. Either that or we are going to need our O to extend drives a lot and keep the ball out of BC's hands -
well that was a kick in the pants for me, stupid Stangby runs like 50 yards sideline to sideline and gets caught a few yards short costing me my lock pick, and montreal blows the 3rd and 1 costing me my pick em pick. Maybe it's time to also start up a therapeutic gin regiment to deal with the FFS's

I got Montreal winning this one. After beating the stamps they gotta be ridin high, and Ottawa has a lot of pressure on them.

Ok I'm watching the game, and it looks like Carmichael was matched up against Khalil Paden. It was nice to see randle and heath switch sides of the field to follow SJ Green to keep these match ups in check. So ok I'll concede Carmichael didn't get burnt by Paden, but looking at Padens career numbers, I don't think he's burnt anyone -

The reason I say I need to rewatch the game is I'm not 100% Carmichael was even playing, or played much at all vs the argo, his stat line for that game was 0's across the board. I find it really hard to believe he went from being lit up like a christmas tree to suddenly #carmichaelisland. Walker for sure had 1 DT that game and I recall seeing him more on the field
