  1. I hope they replay the argo/bomber game in the next few days, I'd like to watch a little closer but I thought Walker did pretty decent out there, and was noticeable in a good way (unlike Carmichael in the first few games constantly getting picked on), but if what I remember is right I'd go with Walker over Carmichael if it was 1 or the other
  2. interested I clicked on the link and there was a video about the top earners in WWE; 1. Brock Lesnar - $12m 2. John Cena - $8m 3. HHH - $3.8m 4. Roman Reigns - $3.5m 5. Dean Ambrose $2.7m 6. A.J. Styles $2.4m 7. Shane McMahon $2.2m I'm a little surprised by the amounts but even more surprised by the order. I would think AJ Styles is would be above dean ambrose and roman reigns in popularity there for more $ in merch sold. And WWE must really bend over backwards for lesnar and his part time schedule to offer up that much
  3. I'd imagine chris jones pressers look a little like this; While it's comical he would close practice because of 1 ST play in a game they won no less, I feel a little bad for the fans that miss out due to this obvious paranoia
  4. When I used to play sports, being the goat was akin to being the whipping boy (as in scapegoat) so I agree with how you view it, I think people are just too lazy now-a-days to puts the .'s and make it an appropriate acronym
  5. i'd be content with 7, realistically we just need to drive the ball into medlocks range consistently and let him put up 21 points, couple that with Nichols typical 2 TD (rush or pass) output and we will win 35-30
  6. Adarius Bowman. For all the pretty stats the guy has put up the last few years the guys is about as hit and miss as a game of battleship
  7. I do, I just don't care for this story, it was misleading to start with statements like "this could ruin my career". I don't see the big pay off as I doubt we will ever see an Angle vs Jordan match, and even if we did, why would anyone really care? I realize the plan is to give Jordan a push, but I think had he stayed on SD and turned on Gable he could have attained the same lime light. Obviously I don't think AA breaking up on Raw would work for a few reason, such as never being on the program and stories kind of in use by Enzo and Big Cass, but other than an eventual Jordan vs The Miz I don't see much place for him on Raw.
  8. Must be. While I picked the Lions to finish 1st in the west this year, it won't be coming off our backs. your 3-0 vs the east but 0-1 vs the west (soon to be 0-2 ;)). Lulay has a stiffer test then racking up big numbers vs a team in disarray (Hamilton) and our pass rush is going to light up that young OL that's still learning as you mentioned. I don't expect us to win by much as the games have gone, but the Bombers match up well vs the Lions as of late
  9. Hope it's nothing serious
  10. after weeks of build up and lines such as "this could ruin my career" I don't feel the pay off was there. This is bad day time tv soap opera writing
  11. back to Adams, IMO the biggest thing that separates good from great is consistency, something Adams has yet to show
  12. never watched boardwalk empire so i only listed shows and movies i've seen him in. Will be interesting to see him as a gangster, most things I've seen Cannavale in he's generally been a cop/SWAT
  13. yeah it's been all over my news feed today, apparently Pesci turned down the role about 50x before finally agreeing to it.
  14. Martin Scorsese has a new movie coming out; "The Irishman" starring Robert DeNiro as Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, Al Pacino as Jimmy Hoffa, and Joe Pesci as mafia boss Russell Bufalino. Also casted is Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano and Bobby Cannavale (Vinyl, Antman, Paul Blart).
  15. without a doubt I'd put Stegall and Pitts ahead of Simon, but the fact still remains he's in the conversation, likely considered 3rd on the GOAT list
  16. I dunno, I'd cut him some slack. Anytime you can break significant records (Most receiving yards and 1st in receptions) in a league with such a long history, winning a few cups and a MOP award, I'd say he deserves to be in the upper echelon. He was certainly better than the other "greats" you listed
  17. probably gonna be a lot of "wah wah daddy wasn't there. gimme a title shot." in which Angle caves over and over again. Maybe they will write it up as other wrestlers get fed up go to HHH, who tries to put a stop to it and it causes tension between Angle and HHH leading to a match, but with Summerslam just over a month away this would likely take a few months to build for the Royal Rumble (earliest)
  18. well... even tho it was mentioned on here earlier by TUP that was still a very underwhelming revelation by Angle. absolutely no "shock and awe" can't help but feel they missed the boat by not making this news a little more scandalous
  19. lol what a weird story. at one point they say it could very well just be a satellite a few thousands of miles over head to a star 11 light years away? that's quite the contrast, like throwing darts with your eyes closed at possibilities. This Mendez guy sounds all over the map as well;
  20. I see Jennings as still on a learning curve in his career. Yeah he's in his 3rd year, but he was also thrust into the starting position about 2/3 of the way into his rookie season due to Lulay getting hurt, and not getting the luxury of more time on the sidelines learning and watching. IMO he has done remarkably well in the trial by fire scenario, but I do feel at times that when you do something, and succeed its easy to become complacent with regard to improving your game. If Jennings is still making mistakes it's likely because he's still growing as a CFL QB.
  21. There once was a man named Lawless That some swear looked just like a Walrus He took his mustard stained shirt down to the sun soaked desert So he could strut around the town braless
  22. I dunno about that, he's a vet DB who's been playing so the learning curve of Hall's D wouldn't take too long to adjust to and he would be in game shape. If Jovan Johnson could come in and be an immediate impact player for the riders on short notice, I don't see why Phillips couldn't as well. But in all likelihood we run with the same roster as last game with the exception of Thorpe
  23. yep I usually go low with the 2nd RB spot and 2nd WR or flex, there was some good options this week for cheap players that seem to touch the ball a lot; Ross Scheuerman (Ham RB) and Anthony Coombs both at $2500 is a a sweet deal. Just hope Hamilton runs the ball a little more this week
