  1. So if I load up with Ottawa players will i get essentially double the points as they play 2 games in 1 cfl week? I see on my options they have both the the OTT/MTL and OTT/TO games listed **edit: I see they jacked the prices on ottawa players
  2. **edit: wait I need a strike removed! I'm Picking Joshua Stangby from the redblack
  3. I'd imagine Lankfords TD last game earned him another shot this week. If Thorpe is playing receiver you're not gonna wanna wear him out doing returns as well
  4. pretty sure the riders were beneficiaries to some hoaky calls in their lone win this year
  5. wouldn't be a bad pick up for a few other reasons too; 1. we play BC next, I'm sure Phillips would play with a chip on his shoulder to show them they made a mistake releasing him 2. we play montreal the following week where A) he's been a DD killer his whole career and would likely be familiar with what the Als would roll out on offense I don't think he'd be a long term answer but definitely could be useful
  6. It's a fun movie for what it is, and I think most were in consensus it was the best DC movie put out to date. Definitely a poor man's Captain America but pretty much for DC at this point is to try and ride the coattails of Marvel and enjoy whatever success they can. Personally I would have rather seen her fight Hades and go deeper into the greek mythology but I understand them needing the introduction story for her in why she's off themyscira and fighting alongside non-amazonians leading into JL
  7. 2 year wait on GoT and...
  8. So while it was announced a while back that Will Smith would be taking on the Genie in a live action Aladdin, they've finally cast Aladdin and Jasmine. Jasmine will be played by Naomi Scott (The pink ranger in the recent power rangers) and someone I've never heard of cuz he's more on tv; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; http://variety.com/2017/film/news/aladdin-will-smith-naomi-scott-jasmine-cast-mena-massoud-d23-1202496767/ Why do I get the feeling they will get Ben Kingsley to play Jafar?
  9. Initial report is it's a bruised shoulder, which Jennings himself says is "fine" and him sitting out the game was more a precautionary thing. Have a feeling tho based on the way Lulay played that even if Jennings is starting, if he's not getting it done Lulay will come in sooner than later
  10. ugh... absolutely loved the original Night of the Living Dead and even Dawn of the Dead (also the original, not the one with Mekhi Phifer and Ving Rhames) After watching some sort of garbage the other night (2016's Peelers) you really get an appreciation for Romero's zombie movies back in the day. Him and Tom Savini (make up) were a good combo going for a while.
  11. Only thing I would change at this point, is the coaches ability to challenge for inconsequential IC away from the play. If it's not called on the field, then it should be left alone, the same way players get away with holding at times. the counter to the "just run into a defender" is the league allowed the 5 yard jam when defenders can make contact. if they still need to make contact further downfield then they deserve the penalties
  12. it was against hamilton/Reinebold D. Lets see how well he does with Nevis and Poop up in his face all night
  13. if a person is NFL or nothing, I don't think it would matter if our officiating was flawless, they aren't going to change as that moniker isn't achieved by having an open interest in other leagues, no matter who or what is going on there, the product will ALWAYS be inferior to them at the end of the day.
  14. maybe as a 2nd or 3rd option like he was tonight (I'm sure Arceneaux and Burnham were getting the bulk of Hamilton's best DB attention) In Winnipeg he was looked upon as our #1 and IMO never really delivered.
  15. thats awful scheduling. it should be pretty cut and dry 8 teams play 1 on bye every Thurs-Sat (or even sunday). I see ottawa gets the bye after this 2 game week (which would be a godsend) Toronto didn't get that luxury last year. I hope they fix this before a time comes that the bombers get such a **** schedule
  16. looking at the week 5 calendar we have; Wed July 19th: Montreal @ Ottawa Thursday July 20th: Edmonton @ Hamilton Friday July 21st: Winnipeg @ BC Saturday July 22nd: Saskatchewan @ Calgary Monday July 24th: Ottawa @ Toronto Has there ever been a team that has played 2 games in the same "CFL" week before?
  17. meh I don't remember him being anything special when he did play for us. We basically replaced him with Dressler which I'm more then happy with
  18. congrats to the one brave soul who picked the Als over the Stamps.... i hope you went 0 fer on the other 3
  19. oh my lanta I just avoided my 4th strike with that johnson TD... im coming for you atomic!
  20. that Jennings injury will certainly be something to watch this upcoming week. I'd rather face a Lulay led team than a Jennings one
  21. this is where the pick ems screws me up week to week. I picked Stamps/Esks/Lions to win but for bomber fandom purposes I want to see Als/RBs/Ticats win so i'm always so torn
  22. didn't look clear cut on tv. I didn't see any green between his foot and the sideline, just like Jackson's foot. But it was close enough to the edge you can't say definitively that he was out, which is why I believe both reviews let the call on the field stand
  23. figured I'd get the ball rolling on our next match up, and big game against a division rival. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how we let Martese Jackson put up the 4th best return night in cfl history. Was it we were playing that bad on a few of those drives or he was just playing that good? I think after making a good 2nd half adjustment, we really limited his returns after that. I hope whatever we did in the 2nd half carries over vs BC as Rainey is always a dangerous returner. I think our DL will have another big night as I don't think much of BC's OL. So far BC has relied on 4th quarter surges to snag their 2 W's, otherwise the games were tight and winnable for the opponents. This Matt Nichols lead team have been road warriors the last while going 7-2 on the road last year (including that last play fg to win by calgary) and currently 1-0 this year. Do they feel less pressure on the road? or do they just enjoy spoiling parties? If the bombers want some league wide respect, I think a big W coming out of Vancouver goes a long way to establishing that. Our secondary will have it's hands full with Arceneaux and Burnham, I'd imagine Heath and Randle will be their cover guys, but I have a feeling Arceneaux will want to torch Loffler as this will be the first time seeing each other since Loffler laid the lumber to him in the WSF
  24. IMHO the play was very similar to Lankfords return in which they didn't overturn. If your not going to overturn one, it's safe to say you shouldn't over turn the other. It appeared both were out to me, but perhaps the "conclusive evidence" wasn't enough to change what the refs saw
  25. I feel bad for the lady but IIRC Fogg had at least 1 TD (out of a few) last year that was called back on a very similar weak call, in almost identical fashion somewhere around the 15-20 yard line, so there is a bit of a precedent to it. Should it be a penalty? personally I think not because it was inconsequential to the play and looked relatively harmless (hand on the back) but at least they are being somewhat consistent with it.
