Watched the Home Run Derby tonight. Man that Judge kid is something else crushing 500+ footers with ease. I hope he surrounds himself with good people while he plays for the Yankees. Seems like that place is a pressure cooker and a half and it would be unfortunate to see Judge one day pull an ARod just to keep up his big stats. I really wish he played for a different team though. I hate the Yankees so much I find it impossible to cheer for the kid while he's in pinstripes

I believe he is primarily a HB, has played CB and returns as well. definitely fits a need we currently have

with Fogg still hurt, I would most certainly bring in Jefferson at this point

Looking Ahead: Toronto Vs Winnipeg

2 games in a row Okp went down. He did come back and play against sask but he got up awful slow vs the stamps. I think he might miss this game -
I think choosing Wild over Bass was the right call if it was strictly a VS for the OLB spot. If we are gonna play the hindsight game, I would have also liked to have kept Tony Burnett. I like Leggett at SAM but he would be extremely useful to us in the secondary right now where we have a pretty glaring hole

I'm trying to debunk this batman trailer cuz I saw for a moment will smith in it, and a lot of the joker scenes looked like suicide squad. IMDB only has 4 people listed in the cast though; Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Joe Manganiello as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Jeremy Irons as Alfred It seems like some of it is accurate though, this is a shot of Deathstroke off imdb and it does show Manganiello without the suit on and the eye patch. But i'm thinking a lot of this was filler added in just to make the trailer seem legit

Stamps @ Bombers: Game Day Thread
Taynted_Fayth replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Didn't want to start a thread on this, and it occurred during this game, but did anyone else have confusion in their section as to which way to look for the national anthem? They say look at the flag in the south, as well as had all the cheerleaders pointed south, but when I looked over there there was 1 small (reg sized) canadian flag a few poles over from where they raise the 13th man flag. They rolled out a giant canada flag in the north end zone tho, wouldn't it make sense to roll that out in the south if that where you got everyone looking? -
there are a few I'd probably add to the list while omitting a few. I would add Zylstra, Rainey, Stephens to the list, and probably put Tyrell Sutton or Jeremiah Johnson ahead of Messam at this point. Both Messam and Harris aren't having great running #s so far this season, but at least Harris makes up for it receiving (2 games, 14 receptions 107 yards), Messam not so much (3 games, 9 receptions for 71 yards)

after 3 games he has 185 yards, he's nothing worth writing home about, just like he wasn't last year with 685 yards. Dressler has more yards in 2 games and 1 less TD, hell he almost matched Grants totals in 1 game. AND I just saw your thread taking a shot at the Bombers 1 win at IGF in 2013... When people look back on the history of NMS guess who got the first win there?

I know people like the throw GREY CUP CHAMPS! but realistically ottawa wasn't even a .500 team last year. So Toronto's wins came against them and Hamilton. Sure Ottawa played well against Calgary but that should be expected when you play them back to back to back and both HC's worked together as opposing coordinators in recent memory. They know each other well. That said, I think something big working for us atm is Toronto has an even shorter week then us this week (5 days vs 6) and are traveling, we need to come out strong and fast and try to wear them out early -

Unfortunately I think were too thin atm to release him, and Yes he's been a liability in the secondary. By all accounts he did a lot better at SAM in preseason, it might be more beneficial to swap him and Leggett positions. Carmichael still might get picked on a bit by Ray at SAM, but at least it's for a lot shorter yardage and he gets more support from guys like Heath and Randle vs getting burnt man to man -

not sure who we will be replacing Wild with, our current LBs are; Briggs, Hurl, Knox, Leggett (listed as a db) Miles, and Wild, with Renaud and Santos-Knox on the PR and Gauthier on the 6-game. Unless we are airlifting in someone our options at OLB are very limited I wonder if Knox can play OLB and we go; Knox Hurl Carmichael as our LB IF Wild is a no go that is, nothing's been announced yet -

thats right, I forgot Roc was filling in for Leggett all preseason while Leggett was hurt. Would then a switch between Leggett to the secondary and Roc to SAM be a better idea? Not really sure who we have to fill in for Wild. It seemed like Jesse Briggs was getting a lot of action in Wild's place. If we are playing Briggs (NI) maybe we see a defensive line up of Alexander Leggett Loffler Heath Randle Briggs Knox Carmichael Okpalaugo Johnson Nevis Westerman -

the ticats right now remind me of the 2010 bombers that went 4-14 (just without all the close losses) They've certainly had a couple bad offseasons the last few years which is pretty much why they went from the penthouse (back to back GC appearances) to the outhouse -
Ok the loss to Calgary at home sucked, but shouldn't be all that shocking. The way we played however was but games done, were still 1-1 and now we face the Argos, who I picked to be #1 in the east in the prognostication thread(s) in the offseason. So what's it going to take to beat them? We are going to need to shut down SJ Green first and foremost. I thought the last few games we've done a reasonably well job shutting down the opposing team's top threats; example: Marquay McDaniel: 46 yards 0 TDs, DaVaris Daniels: 39 yards 0 TDs Duron Carter: 69 yard 0 TD, Naaman Roosevelt: 59 yards 1 TD The problem we've been seeing is opposing teams 3rd or 4th options lighting us up like Nic Demski, Caleb Holley, Kamar Jorden. that needs to stop. If we were to move Roc Carmichael to LB in the wake of potentially losing Wild for any amount of significant time, who would fill that role at HB? I'm not totally opposed to the thought of bringing back Frederick at this point, it can't get any worse then playing roc back there, can it? I think for morale reasons the bombers need a bounce back game here. Even if we lose it's not the end of the world. Our season last year was looking like sweet ass until about week 6 when we destroyed the ticats, so plenty of time. But we need to show last game was just a bad outing for the team, and not the norm.

Does it actually count as happened? (AJ winning the title) or is it the usual , if it didn't happen on TV it never really happened, mentality

187 yards in penalties is what. I only caught the 2nd half of the game, but jesus h crispies there was like maybe 5 plays that didn't have a flag for both teams. I'll give the riders credit though, they stopped the ticats when they needed to and their fans will get to bask in this win for the next 2 weeks but up next after the bye is calgary, and I think that bubble will go pop -

Refs certainly assisted that drive. Since when is hitting a player with your shoulder as the ball hits him considered unnecessary roughness? I can live with the Glenn's late slide UR call (even tho i saw nothing wrong with it) but the Stephens hit was a beauty negated by a BS call -
it was that good. I think they did well incorporating the previous Avengers/Captain America/Iron Man movies into this to really get the ball rolling at a good pace and no need for the whole "Origin" thing again. I know I didn't initially like the vulture mechanical suit but it works and how these villains and other future villains come to get their equipment has a fresh new take vs. it always being Oscorp R & D pumping it out.
