  1. to further add to that re: behar; Wonder if we will get in on the action? I like JFG but with Richards and Coates hurt, I think we'd be in the market for a NI receiver no?
  2. me watching the clock...
  3. you guys are livin in the past maaaaan... I think to think of better times like the BC game we won 37-35 last year. that game had just about everything in it and for once we came out on top
  4. Don't get me wrong, I don't think McGregor is going to win. Mayweather plays too much of the defensive game, is ridiculously good at it so even if McGregor doesn't get gassed after x amount of rounds, he's likely not going to suddenly do what others have not been able to do previous (knock him out). Only thing McGregor can hope for is Mayweather comes in with some ring rust
  5. I assume boxing is an integral part of MMA training. Is it on the level of Mayweather? probably not. But anything can happen
  6. thats his record just as a head coach, the guys been a staple in the cfl for decades up until around 2008. The guy knew how to win plain and simple. Tho i remember when the Als got caught video taping one of our practices back in 2004 trying to steal our signals, Matthews response is what pissed me off the most. I think that's when I started calling them the dirty birds cuz they were playing dirty, followed up by years of players playing dirty (especially Diamond Ferri's suplex on Charles Roberts).. it was a fitting moniker... dirty bush, dirty ferri, dirty cox, dirty sanchez... they had some awesome names tho
  7. Since Richards can't seem to survive a TC injury free, I shudder to think what kind of beating he would take in a real game. Even if he was healthy I'd have some serious reservations about playing him. word on the street is the kids are calling him "Mr. Glass"
  8. One of the best, if not the best coaches since I really got into the CFL about 16 years ago. I echo the sentiments with regards to hated him and the dirty birds (more so when we were in the east) but the guy was a winner. RIP
  9. thanks I must have missed that since our TC thread only really talks about TC very seldomly lol. Will be interesting to watch tomorrow, definitely someone who should get most peoples attention seeing as we kinda know what everyone else can do. CB and MLB will be to focal points for me
  10. so Greenwood in Fredericks spot. Don't think i've heard his name mentioned much in camp previous, or I've been asleep at the wheel...
  11. thats a lot of offensive power missing from esks offense. Would have liked to have seen starters vs starters for a better gauge of our team
  12. There's no disputing a machine can do calculations at a much faster speed than the human brain (with exceptions of beautiful minds maybe) but like the mind, there has to be a finite amount of knowledge it can intake based on storage space, so at some point I could see a conflict with the program. I've heard (can't remember where tho) at a certain point, the human brain needs to delete old memories to create new space for new knowledge/memories. Would AI follow the same suit once it hit it's limit, or would it simply stop growing? Or could it utilize USB stick type storage transfer? I got to thinking about the USB thing, and we kind of do a similar thing to that, but in our own way with pictures, videos, items that remind us of old memories. Ones we don't need to remember, but can go back to with the right trigger for that "oooh yeah" moment that may have been long forgotten. All in all depending on the use of the AI, I don't think it's a bad thing, but maybe I watch too many movies, but I could see movies like the Terminator or The Matrix as a potential scenario if the program somehow ends up in survival mode.
  13. I think that will always be the difference between our logic and AI logic. Unless you can program emotion and/or instinct into AI, all of it's logic and decisions will be cold and calculated. Human response varies on so many intangibles, people tend to do what's wrong even though they know better, or do what they do for other reasons they can convince themselves is for the greater good
  14. nice to see they got a good sense of humor about it all
  15. I feel like Lankford is basically going to assume Mayo's role of on and off again PR player who is emergency injury relief. I thought he's had a pretty good camp so far, and I like the fact he paid us $100 to try out at a mini camp. If he makes the team, I think it's because he's earned it, not because there are no better options. Can't wait for PS game 2
  16. I saw this on FB with the caption "The state of the DCEU summed up in 1 pic" that gave me a bit of a laugh
  17. I would imagine they can calculate finite but wide range probabilities at an astronomical speed rate which dictates most their responses. I think of it like a combo lock, for a person it would take them a long time to go through the number sequences until they came up with the right number, for a computer, or AI it might be done instantly. The way we make a thought is instantly, but for a computer or AI, it might need to go through that combo lock process to determine which of those combo numbers carries the correct choice (or in most cases % outcomes). The highest probabilty is the choice it makes
  18. Only problem I have with binge watching series, especially new ones with only 1, maybe 2 seasons, is once I burn through them, I have nothing to watch again. I still prefer to binge tho because I like being completely captivated and uninterrupted from start to finish. the only shows I am/was watching week to week was The Walking Dead (now Fear the walking dead), The Big Bang Theory and Lucifer. Other than TWD/FTWD, I tend to forget/miss a lot of episodes on weekday programing depending whats going on otherwise (such as hockey/baseball..etc) or real life stuff that pulls me away. I suppose I can add Game of Thrones to my week to week viewing in a month, there is not a snowballs chance in hell I will be able to not watch it live after such a long hiatus
  19. Poop Johnson can write his own jokes. When Poop hits the rider fan, they actually grow teeth... *rim shot* ok i'll see myself out...
  20. I went and saw The Mummy tonight. I gotta say I'm not quite sure why it's getting a lot of criticism tbh. It wasn't a world beater of a movie, but it wasn't all that bad and certainly sets itself up pretty good for the future Dark Universe movies. I don't know what it is with people, but when there's only 5 people in a theater, why the **** do people need to sit right behind me and kick my damn seat. F'n suzie seat kickers lol. Anyways, while I don't think monster squad will have a future, I could see them rebooting Van Helsing (with or without Hugh Jackman) and basically trying to make some sort of good vs evil teams for 1 big ass fight movie when all is said and done. I'd probably wait for this one to come out on dvd/blu ray tho
  21. I think you're missing the point. There are still a lot of people who watch those programs, know the stars of said promotions and appreciate them for what they do (just like we do with the CFL). Obviously WWE is the big dog in terms of $ and marketing but to say AJ Styles, or the like, weren't pretty big stars prior to coming to WWE is incorrect IMO. If anything his/their world renown status is what put them on the WWE's radar. It was pretty obvious how talented Styles was when he wrestled in TNA, but the WWE didn't sign him right away, he still went on to wrestle in NJPW. I've always felt the WWE didn't/doesn't overly care for wrestlers they didn't develop or break out. I think they've slowly started to change that approach but for a long time guys coming from say WCW for example never got the same push as their own boys. It will be interesting to see the kind of push Omega will get if he comes over eventually. They've done a pretty good job with Styles, Nakamura and Samoa Joe so far in guys they 100% did not develop
  22. My bad, I knew it was one of the 2 teams as it was the only televised one, and thought it was hamilton initially but a quick peek at cfl.ca listed him with ottawa in 2016 so i figured it might have carried over to this year too
