The fact Jones made reference to his own daughters makes me think this was equally his decision as it was a call from above him. The team cut him quickly, the league banned him quickly, his teammates bashed him almost instantly. While the judge ruled based on the evidence there was not enough to support the charge, I think those close enough to the situation knew enough to have put their foot down as they have. As much as I enjoy Jones F'n up and making the riders look bad, this isn't one of those cases, so I give him credit for doing the right thing and it's actually refreshing to see the league take a hard stance on it as well. Too many football players out there without the baggage to keep guys like this around imo

FWIW RE: Woods, Walters says even if we still had smith and waggoners money, he deems him as too expensive, so I don't think we would have been in the running for him even if TO wasn't a likely destination. Too bad

It was the right move by Jones and the Org. I'll give them props for that. Absolutely no reason why we would sign him tho. I don't think he's the type of 'character' Oshea goes for regardless of talent

speaking of the BBBC whatever became of Pumper? I think i saw him at a few bomber games last year but definitely disappeared from the online community

I only listened to the first bit with his chat with Jeff Alfieri (someone close to the als) and his take on whether or not Woods and the bombers would be a fit. Had to run out tho so i missed his interviews with McManus, Nichols and Harris. Sounds like it could be a decent show though. Bauming sounds good on air and from what I listened to it was pretty informative. I think they were also giving away bomber tickets, so if that's something (or other prizes) that occurs weekly, makes it even better.

Will the league remove that signing ban currently in place?

Bauming says the close to $200K in salary between Smith and Waggoner is already spent in restructuring other contracts . Hopefully Knox or Temple are the real deal

Was definitely real bomber fans making that trek to LDC. I think anyone willing to pay money to spend time in regina is a trooper in my books. last time I was in sask tho it was like $60 for a 24 of beer. ridiculous

Makes sense. It was still nice to have it all organized tho in travel/room/ticket..etc I wonder if attendance would have picked up with non LDC trips? I think going to places like Montreal, TO and Vancouver would have piqued my interest a little more then Regina strictly on a "things to do" beyond the game and liquor

Used to have the Big Blue Booster Crew LDC thing but i don't know if that still exists. I'd be interested in something like that again, but not necessarily to Regina again, change it up and try new stadiums annually, especially with all the new ones and redone ones. I suppose checking out NMS would be something, but then you still gotta spend time in stinktown and be around it's locals

I would have also like Venable back in FA as i thought Montreal had one of the best LB corps in the league. But the argos grabbed him. I'd hate for them to grab woods too despite how likely it will be for them. I'm still hoping we at least make an inquiry. Woods at MLB potentially gives us one of the best D's in the league. defection would be the proper term vs coup if anything. But with or without this site, there were other bomber sites as well. Members still made the conscious decision to leave and not return. Some tried to juggle both, but the quality of post(er)s at OB drastically reduced and people stopped going there. If anything, if OB had any intent to lure back their members they would have done so via upgrades and turfing shankman, but in the end it was just left to die
