given our records up until last year under Walters - 3-15(13') 7-11(14') 5-13(15') and that only remaining players left since Walters first took over are Denmark, Thomas, Wild and Sherman, I think Desjardins could have fared about the same had he blown it all up. Walters didn't do it in one fell swoop like Jones did in Sask. but gradually he ended up turning over almost the entire roster -

Our season came to an end after losing to the lions on november 13, do PR players become FAs when their respective clubs season ends or the CFL season ends? (Nov 27th). that would have given us 2 weeks to gauge what was going on with glenn and if we wanted to protect anyone on our PR unless we were that hard to the cap we couldn't offer anyone a new or increased contract than that of a PR contract while still operating in 2016 $ -

that's true, don't recall ever reading anything on Walters or MOS' reaction to bennett being scooped up immediately following the GC. It's too bad the riders scooped up Bennett first, then Glenn, cuz if Glenn had moved first we could have maybe moved Bennett up off the PR and got him under contract heading into the offseason. Those greasy SOB's in green and white tho were waiting like vultures.... I honestly would find it comical if the riders drop a deuce again this season and fire the Jones regime. His legacy will be the Legend of the Scrap Heaper -

I figure that will be his fate as well, regardless of how well he does at camp. The riders IMO will be going with Young (1A), Glenn (1B) and Bridge (3) as their day 1 stable. Question is, Would walters be in a hurry to try and reacquire Bennett? He couldn't crack our game day roster last year over Davis, and now that we have LeFevour, Bennett would just be jumping from 1 PR to another. I think Bennett would be wiser to stay in sask as a chance to move up the depth chart is more promising there then here -
With the WGA's 10 year contract expiring may 1st with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and apparently the writers not being happy with the way things have been for them since the last strike that lasted from November 5, 2007 - Feb 12, 2008 67.5% of the WGA members voted with 96.3% of them saying yes to a strike. http://www.laweekly.com/news/will-the-writers-guild-of-america-go-on-strike-8148766 Some shows that could be in jeopardy are; talk shows, The Walking Dead, Jessica Jones, Star Trek Discovery, American Horror Story to name a few Some shows that will be fine as they are all ready to go are Game of Thrones, Twin Peaks, Orange is the New Black http://uproxx.com/tv/the-walking-dead-season-8-strike/2/

The Most Important Passing Stat - 2nd Down Yardage?
Taynted_Fayth replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I would say TD:INT ratio is my favorite stat, but I also like completion % -
I'll give the leafs credit, they put up a hell of a fight in a series i saw as one of the few sweeps in any series
-
yeah my pool is like that too, my grandma picked nashville (thus getting Rinne) so she got 5 point out of him (3 for the SO, 2 for the assists) meanwhile I got holtby as my goalie who can't seem to stop a brick. BUT i was kind of hoping Washington and Montreal go 7 i need all the points i can get

I really don't have an issue with WB redoing the Jungle Book, but I do think timing is awful. Unless it reinvents the wheel with a darker variation of it, it just seems like it's destined to fail based on proximity. I wonder if there has ever been another movie remade in such short time, and if so how well the 2nd version fared. I could understand if this was a sequel to the 2016 version, but sounds like it's an outright redo
-
wish i could translate these results so far to my player hockey pool. Luckily i only picked 1 chicago player. 3 goals in a series, that's horrible. Rinne's 2 assists tied him for as much points as Chicago's top point getter (Kane)

for that price (6th rounder) i'd have made that trade. Health is a big concern, but as you said if he can stay healthy he'd have upgraded our receiving corps big time -

2017 6th round and conditional 2018 pick... salary dump by the als -
I wasn't aware WB was doing this one. I always associate the jungle book with Disney just because of the animated 1967 version, and even the last 2 live adaptations in 1994 and 2016 **edit: has disney ever given up the rights to one of their classics? or is the jungle book like sword in the stone (King arthur) that seems to be up for grabs all the time

passengers pretty much had the right idea, but lots of other movies have done the cryo-hibernation space travel too, such as aliens
-
technology and resources would be my guess. maybe through a solar powered energy we could charge a battery long enough to last until we reached a new star and basicly jump from star to star doing the same thing recharging as we go, but I don't think we have anything that wouldn't run out eventually at our disposal
-
so let's say man perfected the art of cryogenics and re-animation, the next hurdle for space travel would be ship fuel and maintenance. I'm sure robots could handle the load for a while but at some point, someone(s) would need to wake up and do checks. man thinking about all the things needed to travel through space, i think we're hooped. not until a friendly race of aliens comes to us and offers us a free ride will this ever be a reality
-
as long as i didn't wake up to seeing young sean connery's running around like this I could totally live with an apocalyptic nuclear wasteland
-
yep, yet another try at the live version of it, this time with christian bale (Bagheera), Benedict Cumberbatch (Shere Khan) and Cate Blanchett (Kaa). Also has Andy Serkis doing Baloo and possibly a lot of the other movements for animals. I guess they weren't happy with how the jungle book a year or 2 ago did. and seems like that's disney's thing right now, is to make everything non animated. I also read some rumbling about will smith being the Genie in a live version of aladdin, but not sure if/when that's getting started
-
I had them written down, but i figured since we talked about both of those movies a lot separately in posts already they didn't need to be included, but i guess i should have left out avatar 2 and Black panther with the same regard. Of the ones I posted, i'm most curious to see how they do Aquaman underwater as he battles for Atlantis. I have a feeling too much CGI will ruin it imho. there were other movies i left out as well as they do nothing for me, but maybe others might have interest in; Mary Poppins Returns Jungle Book (again) Wreck It Ralph 2 Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2
-
to further add to the upcoming movies of 2018; Bad Boys For Life Pacific Rim: Uprising Antman and the Wasp Black Panther (starring Walking Dead's Michonne) Aquaman Tomb Raider (prequel not starring Angelina Jolie) The Incredibles 2 Jurassic World 2 Mission Impossible 6 The Flash Avatar 2 Maze Runner: The Death Cure

It's definitely not for everyone, but I'm sure there would be a long list of people willing to sign up on a venture that would allow them to explore a new world. That is if all was safe with the freezing procedure - my biggest concern at this point would be brain damage from the lack of oxygen during the hibernation period. It could be terrifying at first, but I think those that volunteered for it would be willing and ready to accept, the world they once knew is no more, and they are no longer in Kansas. It's not like it would be only 1 person going either. It would surely be a colonization mission and not being alone in a new place generally takes the edge off a bit
-
I think we'd need to, or will invent proper cryogenic freezing before we invent any kind of lightspeed or warp drives. If we could suspend ourselves from aging, then travelling for hundreds of years in deep space could become possible, but no one around would be alive to witness or care by the time they landed. Unfortunately for that, it's currently illegal to freeze someone until they are pronounced legally dead. such restrictions really hamper forward progress in that field.
