interesting turn of events. I thought they said on day one this was pretty much a done deal. Not that I think he'd see much time over Loffler but it is what it is I guess
-
the hole left by messam still hasn't been filled/recovered. I agree there is no certainty a FA will resign, but I believe most FAs consider their current team first and foremost especially with said team's ability to continuously negotiate a contract prior to FA. I think the idea was Messam was to be "rented" to the stamps and was supposed to come back once FA hit which ended up backfiring

I don't remember much of his actual in ring matches, but I do remember as a kid the green tongue and chomping into the turnbuckle which totally sold me on "the animal" part of his gimmick.

yeah not the greatest worded article but I do always like when the riders are called losers, a reality check that needs nothing more said lol I was going to to write up a big long ass comment last night to who ever does those winners and losers after 3 days of FA. Honestly at this point I would actually say Montreal is in the lead. To be able to flip your ratio so quickly from over paid OL to an all or near all NI DL practically over night is pretty good. Adding Jackson for DD is a pretty big signing in itself.

http://www.thescore.com/news/1232267 says the Argos and Riders are the losers in FA. Queue the riots in the streets of regina. I'm not a big fan of these "Winners and Losers" of FA because they always say who ever signs the most "wins". I believe quality over quantity myself. I mean look at last year, the bombers and Riders signed the most, and were declared winners, and a lot of the players from both teams didn't pan out. Right now for the riders I would say Dennis was a good signing, but other then that they brought in 2 NI RBs who will undoubtedly get unseated by Cam Marshall devaluing those signings. Brouilette is a 31 year old with concussion history and IMO not much of an upgrade over Hecht who they are likely paying more for, Ryan White is basically Andrew Jones 2.0, and Chad owens who was such an unnecessary signing. Winners my ass

ah **** just got real! If I knew it was a bloody popularity contest I'd have posted better with subtle things like spell check, relevance and of course more simpsons references. always good for a few likes

If I could like my own posts I'm sure i'd easily be up to 1000 likes by now

I will tbh, his "sure handedness" seemed to have escaped him last season paving the way for JFG. Kohlerts biggest peak was in 2014 pulling in just shy of 600 yards, and has been declining since. He just turned 29 a littler over a month ago, so maybe he can reinvent himself for a season or 2, but I'd bet against it. Nothing personal against the guy, but he lost his starting job for a reason

depending on what Rob Bagg's contract is I could see them moving on and having LaFrance bouncing back and forth as Demski's back up and a RB option if there's an injury bug or lack of production.
-
I recall Smith being with the team before because I think IC Khari posted a pic of the fresh prince. Anyone remember anything on him the first go round?
-
and it's for more cowbell while we hoist the cup! In seriousness, I'm indifferent to this signing. I fully expect Nichols to play all 18 games (barring our big ass leads and clinched 1st place in the West) never hurts to have a little experience behind our #1 though

was Flanders even with us in 2015? If we don't have Harris in our sights going into 2016 I doubt we let Marshall walk (although he did get NFL interest upon doing so) but let's say we resigned him last offseason, I still don't think Flanders unseats him any more then he did Harris
-
I like Marshall, would have likely still been our RB had we not picked up Harris. definitely better then anything they got at RB at the moment

Around The League Off Season Discussion
Taynted_Fayth replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I doubt it, he got a lot of rider fans and their media's panties in a knot when he tweeted studies show the ticats have the best fans in Canada, his twitter blew up like there was going to be a lynching at the time -
Unless Laing can play DT I don't think we're in the market for him, if he could though, Westerman,Nevis/Laing/Okpalaugo would be pretty scary is 280 lbs too light for DT?

that (emmalina thing) was the worst 20 seconds of air time I've watched in a long time. If she couldn't pull it off they should have postponed it another week and "forgot" about it by stopping the weekly/monthly build up. I'm sure no one would have noticed or cared

I guess we will see, I personally don't think he is the right guy to do a superhero movie. War movies absolutely, but he doesn't strike me as the type who is too into comics which I think is essential when trying to incarnate a potentially iconic fictional character(s)

When you factor in who and what position they lost, coupled by who they brought in, I don't know why people make such a big deal about the FA's being signed by other teams. The only ones I see really having not the greatest of FA's (and it's not even that bad) is the downgrade in Ottawa from Jackson/Williams to Shaw/Spencer but that is likely all about $$. And Hamilton - seems like lots of teams picking at the bones there. Everyone's losing their **** over on RF over the players brought in, but really so far I only see Dennis as a real good signing. Brouilette isn't all that great (even got me banned for saying as much lol) LaFrance has a lot to prove, Who is White? Owens is a waste of money in an overcrowded receiver landscape and I don't think he's got the burst to be a returner anymore. BC and Calgary, as usual locked up more of their own FAs then diving into FA. And with the lack of FA spending this year by Walters, I hope this is a good sign, that the grass is getting greener in our own backyard. I don't really have a clue what Edmonton is doing, signing Chambers and Lawrence are big ol wtf's

Can't see Gibson getting the final nod. Has too much of a penchant to include tons of gore into his films, and that's neither the DC, nor Marvel way of doing these movies.
-
the "rationale" among rider fans is he was brought in to be a glorified babysitter would love to see owens retire once he cashes that signing bonus cheque
-
I did post at RF that they could got all import, I'll switch out Hecht with Brouilette, so the 7 they can roll with is; BOM, Muamba, Gaydosh, JSJ, Labatte, Clark, Morris/LaFrance
-
given zurkowsky has said that if the als got Harris, Adams would likely be traded or released. I wouldn't mind him as the #2. Just don't think Davis is the guy
-
then it all makes sense, a stamps fan I believe who had spoken with Dennis had mentioned he wanted at least what Bryant and Olafioye were making so if it's it's the 160-180 ball park then what Dennis agreed too is understandable. Admittedly I was under the assumption LT's import or not were still very high paid players (like 200K and above) so I was pretty off on my guess earlier yesterday too. I blame Adarius Bowman

Dunk is saying riders signed Dennis for $170K+10K bonus for 3 years. for most outstanding linemen and a LT thats a pretty good deal for them. Still Perfectly happy to have Stanley Bryant, but wondering what the price difference is
