  1. this draft cant come soon enough I feel like this watching the flip floppin of standings;
  2. favorite part of the game was when the camera/play was in sync with the waveat the bottom of the screen late in the 3rd
  3. thats good to hear, i'm watching the game with my dad he said we'd have no shots I said 1, so we were kinda cheering at all the blocked shots and missed ones couldnt tell if quick got a piece of that shot he slid across the crease for or not and they didnt announce anything. easy money
  4. what bars give out free snacks? not that i'd overly feel safe munching on some cashews left out in the open unpackaged, but I've spent a toonie or 2 on 5 or 6 spicy peanuts at the george, good stuff when your drinking on an empty stomach the thing I'm more curious about at movies is the extra charge for butter vs the free stuff you can squirt out at the napkin/straw stands. I've never really tried popcorn with both at the same visit, but is it a really significant difference?
  5. and the last words I'll remember coming out his mouth were "hail Hydra"
  6. especially if it's a later movie that would see the mall shops close before you got out. I think i might do that this weekend for BvS, get me some chicago style popcorn. I'd still buy a drink and probably candy from the theater, so it's not like Im avoiding their concession altogether
  7. Alotta Fagina
  8. at St.Vital Silver City theres a Kernels just outside their arcades, I've snuck in a few bags claiming it's their fault for setting it up like that, I'm actually surprised I dont do that more often, they even seal the bag for you at kernels which makes it all the more easier to hide. buying it straight from there is roughly on par with the movie prices too for popcorn
  9. last few movies Ive gone to (Triple 9, Gods of Egypt) ive been getting less and less thrilled with the popcorn, it's not quite as salty as the free popcorn you used to get from Jumbo Video but it's getting up there. I find myself eating maybe half a bag then giving up on it. I still buy it though cuz what is going to the movies without popcorn, but I'm some days wishing for the price and quality they one day partner up with Kernels
  10. yeah I think they recognized how much people opt for those vendors vs the much higher prices in the stadium, and started charging them a fee to make something out of otherwise nothing other then possible parking fees. but I know for the last home games vs Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa they only stopped me once asking where I got the food from, I pointed to the truck and they said ok but I had to toss out my water for whatever reason
  11. dont mean to brag, but i got 87% on medium. last time I was at a ruckers I had kids in awe watching me cut a rug
  12. the truck is always parked outside gate 3 i believe - the northern most point of entry along where the tailgate is on university cres. Their menu still reflected the old prices but they had a sign in the order window of the truck as to why the prices didnt match up, like a smokey and poutine should cost you $11 before, but they'll charge you $13 ($1 extra per item is what the sign says specifically)
  13. it was a smart move, me and oldest went to Gods Of Egypt 2 weeks ago, and got to the theater like an hour early for some quality arcade time. needless to say after killin it on dance dance revolution for an hour we were sweaty as hell and both downed our drinks before the movie even 1/4 of the way in so i had to go get us more drinks
  14. food and booze isnt the main reason people go to the game, but it is certainly a big contributing factor to the game day experience. In the end a win cures all, but it doesn't help if while watching the game your paying for expensively bad food. you could say it leaves a bad taste in your mouth... hmm hmm anyone?
  15. I dont know how the fiscal year works in a sport that's season starts in June and ends in November, but I think if it's like almost every other business, April 1st is the start of the 2016 payroll, could have been an allocated bonus to not count against 2015
  16. last few games I went to, they tried to stop me at the gate with my smokey and poutine but when they realized it was from that truck (name escapes me, but it's an actual cook inside the truck vendor, not a little hotdog cart) they let me through. I couldnt bring the drink I brought in though I guess cuz people could spike their drinks, but food was ok'd. They posted a $1 extra charge sign on the window you order from and the woman explained to me it's to pay for an extra fee they were being charged to allow for this, so the WBB can recoup some money not made by people ordering outside the gates. or something like that. I've had to the $10 hotdog, never again
  17. DD season 2 was awesome, Jon Bernthal (Punisher) really steals the show. I fully expect them to make a spin off Punisher show with him. Without spoiling anything, theres really 2 storylines in the show, Punisher and then Daredevil + Elektra, both stories are good, but I found the punishers story much more crazy good. I'd say they made the show a lot more darker and graphic with Punishers inclusion and it paid off
  18. theres some rumors going around the internets that Disney is paying people to write bad reviews on DC movies to make their Marvel movies look better lol i say, that's a stretch. they just need to watch most of the DC movies to realize why some people genuinely dont like them
  19. after listening to this, i suppose it could have some promise. Axl can hit the high notes, just not so convinced it'll work that well with an aged AC/DC, would be the wrong way for them to go out if this doesnt work but;
  20. http://www.wbab.com/weblogs/donna-donna/2016/mar/23/breaking-news-source-says-axl-rose-acdcs-new-lead-/?ecmp=wbabfm_social_facebook_2014_sfp axl rose to be AC/DC's new frontman, no. just no. all kinds of wrong with that
  21. I think they relaxed a little on the food being brought in as long as it's from an approved vendor outside. like that truck that parks i believe by gate 3, they let you bring in your smokey/burger and/or fries but no on drink. I think last time I went to buy stuff they charged an extra dollar on their items tho as a fee they use in paying for that privilege
  22. yeah me and bigg jay got into a little fun at 4am that night with some of the locals on a slurpee run it was kinda funny my then father in law was at the same hotel with his brother and i saw him in the morning of the game heading to wayne's world, then didnt see him again till the next morning, no voice from the game, hungover and a fat lip, he looked at me laughed and said "atta boy"
  23. I cant remember the section i was in but it was on the north 50 behind the ticats bench, i dunno about other teams but a few ticats like norwood interacted with the fans which was fun to watch. but yeah i agree, sitting too close to the field is a bit rough watching the down field stuff
  24. I didnt know where to put this but it was an interesting watch for me anyways, I did not know Dudley Do-Right cost 70m to make and only got 9m (not surprised by the box office, more so the cost)
  25. and a classic for the cherry of my playlist tonight
