  1. Don’t you put that evil on us Ricky bobby!
  2. That ball hung up in the air a bit. Lucky the db didn’t play the ball
  3. Some one tell Calgary it’s improper to beat a dead horse.
  4. Biggie shut down in the gap and burnt Alexander blows another tackle
  5. Woods grabbed should’ve been a sack or a flag
  6. I think that was last years zach imo. It was all mad boom or bust. I believe lucky whitehead would qualify for us as a naturalized import ya? So if he has any thing left we could continue to start clercius and rotate lucky with him and Canadians or freely with the rookie imports. Doesn’t have to have nearly as much left in the tank for that usage in a package imo Stay hydrated for those in attendance. Better play well, other people of the rum hut might be in serious danger.
  7. I agree with the 2019 ray comparison. I think what zach is showing now is 2004 khari jones.
  8. Shawn lemons advice would be bet the house on old man zach
  9. Better any pro. Those 3 have been stink stank and stunk.
  10. Keys to the game: a productive run game. We struggled to run vs cal in our first match up and pre season. Need a good dose of bully ball today. limit the penalties. We aren’t producing the yards to make up for all we are losing. Discipline will be huge today. Qb. Need to be reasonably quick to pull zach if he isn’t moving the offence, and buck needs to call a competent game.
  11. I can see that, but at the same time if he was barred from the cfl as a president and stayed on in the same office for the rest of mlse that’s a possible $&@% storm.
  12. https://3downnation.com/2024/07/11/toronto-argonauts-president-bill-manning-mlse-mutually-parts-ways/ wonder if this has any thing to do with the Kelly situation… maybe the league let him fall on his sword rather than be tied to all this stuff
  13. He’s married, because no matter who we have Thomas would get the snaps. The injuries are a freak occurrence, I dont think those fall on any one. If every one was healthy and stayed healthy, guys like woods and Hubert probably never see snaps. Every on has a place in the conversation, and every one can learn, it’s all about that growth mindset 👍
  14. Woods fox adams lawson wj habba hubert and garbutt. That’s an impressive deep versatile group. The fact mos is married to the worst dl on our roster and that guys have been banged up isn’t on the scout department. That dl with schmekel would be among the best in the league.
  15. Woods has been the best ng we’ve had since stove. Adams is hands down better inside, fox is better Hubert could play 3t, etc. the job of our two dts are not the same, we use a guy who scrapes inside, gap cancels and tries to push the pocket back, and a guy who pass rushes from the interior. Sayles is a great example of a guy who excelled as a pass rush dt here. Thomas, isn’t in that role here, neither is woods, though woods could do that. It all depends on the role. The guy who plays A gaps and or nose is generally 290-305 for us. More often than not 300 or a shade under. Usually we use shorter, stocky, athletic noses. The pass rush guys in 3/4i tech are often 270 range. We have often played bigger ends like kongbo and Hansen inside at this spot, and used dts like sayles and walker in that spot while also rotating at de.
  16. I’ve seen Hubert and woods both generate pressures, how he’s quantifying a pressure would be the question. If you’re the second guy in and don’t get a sack is he counting that as a pressure? Is he counting sack assists as pressures, etc. also wj having a higher volume of snaps than Thomas by almost half a game is suspicious af. Thomas barely comes off and wj has been off for entire series in a couple games.
  17. Genius roster management too great for us mere mortals to grasp, or to quantify with silly performance metrics or “wins” Wonder how strong next years draft is gonna be
  18. 233 at the combine, but listed as 222 on our site. Iirc he was listed 220 ish in the eu too. But even at that, 230 is a real small de, and for a guy who hasn’t played a real game against north American tackles… good luck. Hansen was like 250 as a lber though. The difference between a global guy who played only in Europe and an American who played d1 and likely got an nfl camp invite is gigantic though.
  19. I think it’s a question of balancing the other deals. You had have all that premium pay, plus guys like kramdi augustine etc. Lawler is looking at a serious market correction in his next deal. Man I hope not. 220 lbs de with out any decent level experience would get rag dolled.
  20. And tbh the market for lbers is really cheap these days. Wynton McManis is head and shoulders above the rest of the leagues lbers and he just finally got a decent pay day making 200k with bonuses. Biggie at 165 is a joke. Canadians like hladik and Lokombo both make a good chunk less, as does Morgan in Edmonton and even our former all star in jsk.
  21. He beat biggie in the hole like 5 or 6 times too, 3 with the same spin. Trucked him a couple times as well. Age is undefeated. Last year was the end of biggies serviceability. He’s got no place on the field now.
