  1. She was such a breath of fresh air. It seems like every one on the panel normally is so busy trying to be a big personality like Stephen a smith or some thing. You’ve got to have a give and take, while still letting the news/sport/event be the star. Like pti with kornheiser and wilbon. Those guys get balancing the Shtick with the topic, and playing off each other. Maybe it’s just a case of me being an old man yelling at clouds. But even the more shlocky presentations like inside the nba do it much better.
  2. Agree big time, I think we are at the dawn of the strevy era. That’s a really good point actually. Having lucky to run sweep motion stuff, which is easy and in his wheel house, which lets Demksi run down field more and give us that nice catch and run mid range threat. I’d love to see woli in lawlers spot till he’s back. Too, give us a big reliable catcher getting down field. even clercius too. Yeah he’s a damn good pass catcher. I’m really impressed. I’d love to see some layered back field motion. Demski, brady, and lucky could interweave jet, orbit, rocket, fly, return etc motion. imagine having demski on jet sweep motion on the snap, having lucky pre snap rocket motion, and Brady on return running out then back to his spot for the snap. You can run demski inside, lucky around the edge, Brady with a slot back type of waggle momentum and set up screen plays on a fast count plus every thing strevy brings. That would pull the dl tight to the line opening up seams for passing and break away lanes for strevy and Demski inside.
  3. How do you feel about the difference between the elk and the riders? I feel like the elk are far better than their record the riders worse especially with Harris out. I think both are really close in quality but I could see the elk getting better. Edm ssk might be a really good play off game
  4. Lofton is bad at defending speed off the edge, he’s struggled with how far to kick slide allowing him self to be ridden right back into the qbs lap, and he struggled with twists/blitzes. Hes good at blocking the bull rush and dealing with guys who go right at him. As you would expect from a career guard before coming up here. And a riders cast off. Free agency for ol is a tough call, some times a guy needs a position change like hardrick or a chance like bond. Talent wise it’s honestly a big question mark at 2nd guard and we don’t have a second tackle. The stark reality imo looks like this LT Bryant lg no defined starter, wallace =/= dobson C Eli. No cfl calibre back up, maybe Dobson RG Lofton=/= vanterpool, randolph RT no cfl quality tackle In my mind this season is already on the verge of being a wash, couple weeks I’d start playing for next year. At that point I’d run this ol bryant wallace eli/dobson Randolph vanterpool I would give that 1 or 2 weeks, then cut the worst of the imps air lift in new guys and give Dobson another couple weeks at guard. The goal would be to develop a rt, and gauge dobsons ability to improve with some more focus on assignment and role in the short term. When did gray play rt? Maybe late in a pre season game once but I never saw him get any chance at it. He did however excel as the 6th ol jumbo pack in passing plays. Neuf wasn’t better than any one at rt. He is the least mobile guy we’ve had since bob camerons final season.
  5. His change of direction and hip fluidity is still worlds better too. Ratio breaking dbs are almost as rare as qbs. Truth. If you count the double dipping of yards he passed to Brady they combined for almost 400 yards. If you look at Zack’s play off stats and record it’ll tell you you can win against the best teams in the biggest games with out a lot of passing yards. Buck needs to plan and call a better passing game, but we destroyed the rbs in top which is one of the biggest keys to victory. Zach put up almost 300 passing the first time against ott when we lost too.
  6. Hes 5’10 194. The big thing these days is a guy who more along the lines of a wil at 215 ish. Picket is the best Sam in the league by miles and is 5’11 210 ish. And yes, 15 very lean pounds makes a big difference at a position like db. Rene is 6’2 206. Kramdi is smaller than the modern prototype of a Sam, but I don’t think that’s the issue. He is ok at making tackles when the guy is in his arms/chest. He struggles with tackles when it’s a close out though. Ends up diving and arm tackling and missing. He makes mistakes like not looking back to the ball, and missing positioning in pattern match. When he gets into or finds him self in the right place at the right time he’s hit or miss on finishing out opportunities. Hes a good dime, and kind of stuck with a tweener skill set. And for a guy in his 4th year with 40 plus games id expect him to make less mistakes. With how we play, wil really isn’t much different than dime. Inside wall player hcf zones, the wil just had more asked of him in run fits. Kramdi is definitely too small for wil. I think S would be decent though, if he can cover the ground needed. Most ni S players don’t cover a ton of ground though.
  7. No misses since the chip incident. and that cal game was tough. Cover teams has indeed been excellent a massive improvement over last year. Yeah over all the secondary played very well. Brown only completed 2 passes and Crum another 8. Big improvements in execution over earlier this year. On that note an honourable mention to the panel host. She kept the discussion about football and not mindless banter. If barker and suitor were mia it would’ve been excellent. And you know if they showed replays lol
  8. I didn’t hear browns comments so I can’t talk to them, but when one interior dl is on the centre or crossing him every snap that means only 1 of the two other guards has a guy and a clear assignment. Normally, the C is the guy free up who re acts to the D and who needs help. That has fallen to Dobson and nuef mostly, and more so Dobson. Who certainly is not used to that role and does seem lost when he isn’t head up on a guy. No one runs actual gap schemes much any more. But the gist of zone is head up or if the defender is between you and the play side you double and stay while the other guy doubles and skips to the second level. This would generally be a centre going second level, and you’d try to pinch with a wr fb extra ol etc to get a second guy to the second level. Dobson can atleast improve, and has the best ol coach to work with him. Wallace as well. Neuf isn’t gonna get healthier and kola isn’t going to get better. I wonder if having Dobson at C in the pre season has him trying to do too much and take that role that kola isn’t filling. Our whole ol hasnt struggled this much since wiley took over early in the mafia days. And it’s not just pass pro or run gaps discipline is shot too. It was problematic back last year it’s just continued to devolve.
  9. He’s certainly an issue, but he’s far from the issue of kola, who makes our entire interior much worse. Teams are crossing his face or playing a nose on him virtually every snap now. Every team has him figured out and until that changes we will struggle. We had the same struggles last year inside with out Dobson starting. With our ratio as it is we almost are disincentivized to play Canadians. Wallace I think could be better than Dobson this year, but idk if he’d be better than vanterpool who would likely be our best guard by a mile.
  10. Which is made worse by the fact that after Bryant we have 3 imp ol all of whom are guards. id be fine with that as long as eli starts at C. I found it interesting that in an article post game on 3dn neuf talked about the ol being called out for not playing physical enough.
  11. Football isn’t sustainable on a body. Playing an extremely physical position/style is a ticking time bomb. Some guys like Bryant stay young forever. Other guys are gone and done in their 20s. I’ll say, it’s generally easier on the body being the hitter than being hit. Collaros had a ton of wear on him from being hit prior to his resurgence here. Nichols was physically done when he should’ve gone into his prime, and willy was done way before it. With our ol right now, qbs aren’t going to stay healthy for the long run. I’d rather our guy be hitting and controlling the contact through initiating than getting smashed. buck does need to evolve the passing offence to fit strevy and the weapons we have. And we need better targets, the rookie wrs that are left don’t show much.
  12. Add Thomas and kola. I’d be thrilled if none saw another snap here again.
  13. 1 strev-bo 330 combined yards beat the ott D into submission 2 Sergio with 6 fgs 2 of 53 yards 3 bonds with the great game and a pick hh wj with the strip sack block of the game strev sealing the end for Brady on the option run for 26 yards crunch of the game Brady had a big pop on an 8 yard run near the side line. Honorable mention to ayers on teams with a big one too.
  14. Hasn’t seen a ton of reps and when he’s on he’s back in coverage as a dime.
  15. To be fair you need to try to disengage and burst through to really get the call. If you hug and struggle cuddle you don’t get many.
  16. O has Brady and strev to be the heart of the unit. D doesn’t have that guy.
  17. If you aren’t getting pressure you atleast need to contain
