  1. Gotta like how our dl matches up against their ol. Honestly I look at that lions roster and go meh.
  2. Wouldn’t have brought him back imo. I think it’s just mos faves he loves kola.
  3. I think dl is the only position you can look at tackles and evaluate any thing. Dl getting lots of tackles is impressive. Really worried about the ol’ and Zach the most.
  4. The only real question for me is how healthy is bo? Is this some scheme, is he playing hurt will we use smith at rb if bo isn’t 100% lots of intrigue.
  5. It’s an interesting reversal from what mos was saying. Even more so that Mitchell is finally off. Mos really seemed to like him.
  6. Gdr isn’t as bad as I had thought it would be which is nice. Worry about bridges taking over for Nichols. Strange they roster bo but start Augustine must not be 100%? Smith is back and kring which is good. Dl looks ok, but I hope Adams gets lots of reps inside while Fayad comes in at end.
  7. That’s exactly why I broke down one games worth of tackle info last year between awe and biggie. awe had like 10 tackles and biggie 6, but biggies average depth of tackle was 3 yards and awe’s was damn near 10. The expectant yards per play on biggies stops were all more than the stamps actual yardage by a good 3. And we were gaining almost double our average against awe. even that, gain after first contact on the tackler is a huge factor, all those are higher effort to track and require manual tracking though. Most of these analytics are just using the score box. which just isn’t enough to evaluate a bunch of positions.
  8. He was excellent on the broad cast. He really she be in the booth full time. Is that the new pff? Haven’t heard any thing about them. I’m distrustful of home made stat accumulators in the cfl. It’s way too easy to have bad values. For instance Kramdi had 7 tackles, which can be good or bad for a Sam.
  9. The stamps used to slap us around like younger brothers for a good chunk of mos early term. Even after we got decent. I’m fond of Scott cloman hands of stone feel like we’ve had a few great ones like that. Incompleterson is the goat imo
  10. If you feel better the last year and a half I played junior we won 1 game. When I started ast coaching I went to a ton of high end programs and coaching clinics in the us. We won 5 games that year and people acted like we were the pats lol. My last year the qbing was the worst at that level ever. Most hs juniors would’ve been an upgrade. Winner here
  11. The difference between people who know how to watch a game to understand what’s happening, and regular viewing is gigantic. Most people try to follow the ball and miss 90% of the play. Even if you know the X’s and O’s, relative position play etc if you’ve never been taught how to watch film you see a different game. On top of that you have things like understanding positions from a competitive stand point. This is where observations like tipping plays, kick stepping too far too fast etc come in. You also have understanding from the x/o level you get the difference between Dbs coming over to try and make up plays vs being beaten. Football has the most strategic nuance of any main stream sport. A little bit of knowledge goes soo far. Guys like mike booch jbr and a couple others clearly have high level understanding of these various areas. Some people don’t like what they hear because it doesn’t match what they see and they can’t counter the points on merit so they attack the posters. And when I see posters attacking those people it just tells me all I need to know about those posters. They love the bandy about not a real fans, or hot hand fallacy etc. as if what happened here 4 and 5 years ago is more important than what we see on the field today. Maybe Pepperidge farms is ed tait! 🤣 Wheatfall sure looked like a beast in a few catches last week. If Schoen is healthy he should have a good chance to shine.
  12. He’s the most useful of hey two. Primarily playing an intermediate zone reading the qb and flowing to the ball away from ol
  13. Copium mine. Haven’t had to tap into the reserves a long time so we are good till game time
  14. + Thomas and neuf. Not sure kyrie or Zach still has it, kola never had it to lose. Only as naturalized imp in very limited situations with well curated usage. Which is hard to do, and you can’t have two. It’s like having Thomas and karamoko on the field at the same time. You instantly give up soo much advantage it’s a miracle to over come.
  15. Either way I think this bc game will speak volumes as to the nature of the problem, and if we have the will power to fix it. I think our decisions are making the problems worse. I don’t think injuries are our biggest issue. I feel like we tend to play bc well especially at home the one really ugly loss last year side. We’ve had an ugly year so I don’t expect them to play down to bc or be taken by surprise. I expect us to easily have the best game of our early season this week.
  16. I don’t think so. I also don’t think our chances of being above 500 any time soon is good. I’ve been wondering that about young rookies in camp for a while here.
  17. Honestly I hope that’s the case. If it is and we keep losing the change happens and comes down from on high. I worry Walter’s is mainly on the same page and it’s gonna be a long hard road to change.
  18. If we did that faked the draw and had him toss one deep our wr would be wide open.
  19. Yeah, bit of protection improvement for sure. It seems like buck is waiting for our current stuff to work in order to progress, but it isn’t just gonna start working. He’s got to create the success and use schemes and guys not wait to counter. He’s being too tentative like a bad amateur fighter. Waiting soo long to land the knock out counter that he loses the fight. We’ve used some better plays but way too infrequently, and not when we need it. As long as Brady is out first down should either have demski motioning or in the back field, both qbs, or a good timing hot route queued up. And we need to go hurry up after converting with Strevy, who needs to throw the ball. Especially when he comes on in 2nd and one or short.
  20. I get that, and I’m a certainly one who is excited by elite athletic prospects like Adams. We’ve seen some not pan out like Barrett last year. I think with the ratio you always fill out the roster with high effort low athleticism character guys who may have a great skill, so I don’t believe in aiming for those guys mostly. At the same time, I always watch the border line size guys especially at wr. If you’re 5’11/6’0 190 ish. You know they have to be far more skilled to get the same attention as the smaller fast twitch guys or the big ass target wrs.
