  1. Classic matty. I love the guy but he’s fried lol. The beauty of football is you can actually do a lot. Roll out, boot leg, slide protection, play 6 ol and or two backs/wr to have an extra blocker on each side, pinch the ol to reduce gaps, use passing concepts that have blitz busters, are easier and faster to read, generally better first down play calls too. We aren’t committed or productive enough with the run on first down, and we need for Collaros not to be in 2nd and long a lot or throwing on first and ten. So use pre snap motion and run the ball with Demski/strevy more and more one/two step drop timing routes.
  2. I get what you’re saying. But it’s the opposite for me. Our team wasn’t young in 19, but if that’s the start of our rosters success that’s 5 years. How often do you continue to dominate when your best/core players are mostly the same after all that time? We’ve gained schoen and traded Harris for Brady but over all we’ve lost far more talent than we added from that roster. Teams are always improving every year. You have to evoke and improve or you fall behind. Honestly it’s amazing how long we continued to play at a high level while losing more talent than we added year on year. Totally. at some point as you go up the ladder though, some one has to be the boss and make the hard decisions. Right now it doesn’t seem like we have that. With out the counter balance you have a Jeff reinbold team.
  3. Not surprised. At all. Top to bottom the club seems to think our culture, which isn’t nearly what it used to be clearly, is enough to propel us back to the grey cup. That and our old beat up has beens. Couple posters on here remind me why the fb bomber groups aren’t worth any time. I was talking to a friend in the states who coaches hs and does YT football videos about modern wr releases/ rb and pass rush first steps/moves after which I went to my feed and saw that posts legit arguing if Harris would/should start this week and that our injuries have nothing to do with age practice or tc. A lot of casual fans tend to fall back on grasping at a few straws when teams struggle. So and so has lost a step, qb holding the ball, just need an additional star etc. When they are soo loud and telling you, Brady is too slow, But can’t evaluate a rb, understand any of the scheme or how the other team tried to limit that position, It’s like a flock of geese honking angrily at cars in the road.
  4. Hope that’s accurate. It’s on life support. Especially since tsn1290 shut down, bob retired and ed came to work directly for the blue.
  5. I don’t understand why we’d have Adams punt over having Sergio do all 3 jobs
  6. Agree. Our teams play right now isn’t overly the fault of the players on the field. We could use a couple guys getting healthy, we are short handed and can’t rotate teams guys very well, but mainly our struggles comes down to tackling which is a coaching/discipline thing and punting. Globals aren’t cheap after their first deal any more.
  7. I hope that doesn’t happen too. If any thing I think the live tv feed will go that way in time.
  8. That does look really cool great to see some of that trickle down from the nfl. I’d love it if we could customize that stuff. Like I don’t need the name tags but the other stuff is sweet. I’d also kill for wide field angles like the teams get for film study. You’re right though, 0% confidence they pull it off.
  9. I like it when other teams fans do it but not the fans of the teams I like lol. I much prefer the ref you suck chant. That would be a very solid move.
  10. He’s a good teams guy. But as a heavy rotational defensive guy? Idk either.
  11. That’s true. Question is, has mos brain washed him self with his own rhetoric. Kramdi is already starting. Unfortunately karamoko has been playing a major amount of reps at wil and as the dime in place of the wil. gauthier has seen few reps on D this year. Karamoko has really taken over that role. Thomas, petrishen, and gemmel all should’ve been kept around. Honestly ayers would be 3rd on that list for me.
  12. I think we are likely to split with Calgary and ott with an ok chance of beating bc. For sure less than that should trigger action. If we are 2-5 or 3-4 going into regina I wonder if that sparks any thing. Or if we are a 2–3 win team and lose that game does that bring about a shake up atleast with the roster.
  13. I don’t agree that the lbers are the issue. Our lber use sure is. 3-4 is better suited to the cfl, and it isn’t like the golden days of the lber. Lbers are not a dominating position. The advantages of the 30 in the cfl isn’t the extra lber, it’s most often an extra db on the field at wil any way. The advantage comes from better inside gap cancellation, easier run fits with out the hb/s, disguised pressure, better show and drops, better coverage rotations with more options, and the ability to create pressure opportunities while reducing doubles on guys like wj.
  14. Sure, but clearly no shame is associated with crappy play. No one in the locker room or out side of it is holding players accountable for crap play, prep, coaching, or play call. I bet 1-2 more loses and wj/biggie host a players only closed door meeting. barf. Yep. Question is how many loses does it take to make serious changes and kill the old boys club? Can it be hyperbole when we are dead last in the league? 2 tds in 4 games this year Thats a good question also how will Zach handle it? 2 2 and outs before we score and the O will be booed off the field. It wounded Nichols greatly when it happened. Zach is tougher, but he’s still a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. The struggle seems to be really hard on him already, he’s a great leader and you can see he takes all the responsibility.
  15. Keep in mind, we are now more of a 30 front team than a 40 front team. Oakman can play some end in limited reps out of a 40 set, or extensively play a 3/ 4I. It wouldn't be hard with adams also able to play any position in a 30 or 40 front for a decent chunk of the defensive reps to use oakman.
  16. DL suffer high ankle sprains at a very high rate though, as well as pulled hammies for the big guys. IF you watch his college punts he gets distance but doesn't extend well and looks stiff. Punters, and kickers, do an exceptional amount of work to keep their legs loose enough to kick consistently. Adding that work load to a nose tackle who is already playing the edge, and had some wind issues, isn't a great move.
  17. Thats a good point. hes gotta last for a long season this year.
  18. I could legit see letting him kick off. Imagine how he kicks with a running start and not needing to go knee to face on follow through.
  19. Enjoy the delusion while you can my friend, I wish I had one haha. I dont think we will see any impactful changes for a couple more weeks unless the old boys club all get stuck in the tub. QFT. Up next in the transaction page, Blue bombers sign DE Damian Jackson.
  20. Damn thats a good get for them. With all the injuries we easily couldve added a guy like that. Namely lawsons 6 game money.
  21. IF he fixed his follow through on his punting mechanics and worked on it he could be a legit punter at the pro level. Dude is nutty. Going to start for us at end as a 290lbs guy, and he played huge reps last week at end. If he dropped 15-20 lbs, he could be the scariest edge guy full time. Not a fan of Bridges playing serious reps, he and karamoko were a hot mess last week.
  22. We earned that ranking. I’d be slow to move us up if we do win one or two coming up unless it’s blow out wins.
  23. Great break down by lapo, take a shot every time karamoko (42) is out of position on the under side of the box on his zone.
