  1. Hoping for a first drive major score and for the D to force a turn over early
  2. That’s true but bc has been a pass first second and third offence for a long time. Their ol sucks but part of that is they never establish the run.
  3. I hope it isn’t vaj swinging a helmet again lol.
  4. Interesting, My money would be on it being used on the D side, probably kyrie or ba.
  5. Probably as accurate to say you lose a game for every player over like 33/34 lol. We sure didn't lose any games because of rookies like schoen, alford, nichols etc. Same. This BC roster suuuuuucks. Keys to the game for me, Vaj. The lions bad ol is banged all up. Pressure him, hit him, force turn overs. 1st down production. In the first two games we've had the worst first down production this team has seen in a long time. It's critical to keep in 2nd and reasonable, and not have zach trying to throw every down. no2 will largely come down to this, buck calling a better game. We need to be running it or having similar quick passing game production, move the pocket, develop some routes and use strevy well. Bucks got to evolve and adjust to how teams have played us and how we've struggled so far this year.
  6. He’d be too busy hitting the uprights here.
  7. I get it. Unfortunately we can’t apply logic to situations that just aren’t logical. no it isn’t, it starts with the projected starting C in each conference then goes by first and second team selections from previous years. The pff started tracking all d1 teams in 14, it wasn’t the be all and end all and still isn’t. He also lead his team in snap% in his active years, pan cakes etc. Link what ever you like, tui Eli was an extremely highly touted C with big time nfl projections. Analytics in football scouting are not remotely close to the level of importance of even the nba, little on the mlb. Football outsiders had the most in depth analytic info of football any where publically available, and the site died despite that and great writers/contributors. Pff stats are worth significantly less than measurable or testing numbers which are worth about as much as production. Eli dominated both those as well, he’s the most talented and athletically gifted C in the league.
  8. If we started Eli over gray we’d have had no back up C though.
  9. At that point we wouldn’t use him in short yardage imo. We’ve seen Eli at C, he’s damn good. Kola can’t read or act on the Ds alignment worth a damn. I think it’s just mos loves kola, who is already pretty old while Eli is 28. He’s just one of those guys for mos.
  10. Nope, that’s a false equivalency. because the Rimington isn’t based by any means solely on pff type stats. The Rimington was designed by a great linemen to fill the gap for centres. He was the top ranked centre going into the year for two years till his injury. Centres are one of the hard positions to rate on paper but one of the easier ones to rate by watching.
  11. He has consistently as well as when he’s started. Eli, is a beast blocking any one on one. Kola, can’t navigate switches twists stunts blitzes and can’t block one on one. If you watch game footage going back to last year every team lines up a guy in 0 tech to bull rush him and he gets folded back into the pocket. Look at his first good chunk of games no one was playing nose on him with regularity. Teams that don’t use the nose/30 do it specifically against us to tremendous effect. Pff stats are specifically bad for centres especially in none nose situations. It’s better for guards and tackles vs 40 fronts. But it is a low quality tool. It’s worst for dbs, lbers, Cs, nose tackles, and mixed use wrs like woli and Demski.
  12. Think my early peak was post 01.
  13. Same here. Also how legit the two teams that beat us so far in the regular season are.
  14. Eli was one of the best centres in all of d1. He was a legit first round nfl prospect. Dobson is fully competent in snapping. Also, the pistol is heavily used which is not terrible demanding on the centre for snapping.
  15. Gotta like how our dl matches up against their ol. Honestly I look at that lions roster and go meh.
  16. Wouldn’t have brought him back imo. I think it’s just mos faves he loves kola.
  17. I think dl is the only position you can look at tackles and evaluate any thing. Dl getting lots of tackles is impressive. Really worried about the ol’ and Zach the most.
  18. The only real question for me is how healthy is bo? Is this some scheme, is he playing hurt will we use smith at rb if bo isn’t 100% lots of intrigue.
  19. Guessing Mitchell to the pr for griffin
  20. It’s an interesting reversal from what mos was saying. Even more so that Mitchell is finally off. Mos really seemed to like him.
  21. Gdr isn’t as bad as I had thought it would be which is nice. Worry about bridges taking over for Nichols. Strange they roster bo but start Augustine must not be 100%? Smith is back and kring which is good. Dl looks ok, but I hope Adams gets lots of reps inside while Fayad comes in at end.
  22. That’s exactly why I broke down one games worth of tackle info last year between awe and biggie. awe had like 10 tackles and biggie 6, but biggies average depth of tackle was 3 yards and awe’s was damn near 10. The expectant yards per play on biggies stops were all more than the stamps actual yardage by a good 3. And we were gaining almost double our average against awe. even that, gain after first contact on the tackler is a huge factor, all those are higher effort to track and require manual tracking though. Most of these analytics are just using the score box. which just isn’t enough to evaluate a bunch of positions.
  23. He was excellent on the broad cast. He really she be in the booth full time. Is that the new pff? Haven’t heard any thing about them. I’m distrustful of home made stat accumulators in the cfl. It’s way too easy to have bad values. For instance Kramdi had 7 tackles, which can be good or bad for a Sam.
