Preseason B Super Saturday OTT@HAM, BC@CGY, SSK@EDM, TOR@MTL

Or atleast make it decent TV. I don't think the draft speed is an issue for front offices, they are prepared to the hilt. (Or are going to have a trash draft any way.) Agree. And no more of this 2 day draft bs. Except for the MLB. Doing 2 full rounds and 2 compensatory rounds in one day then the other 18 another is fine. -
Yeah, lots could still shake down funny. But I think Kramdi and karamoko will end up being back up dbs, with the healthy ish hallet + kelly and how ever S shakes down. OL we won't be running 3 imp ol imo, so DI's really come down to backs, wrs, dl, lbers and of course sergio has one spot locked up. The biggest area of need I see is kick cover. We need some killers on that squad. I'm hopeful the batch of imp Lbers will help with that. I don't know if he retired or what, but Carelton Agudosi would actually be a great fit for the last wr spot. He was really feast or famine as a WR, but as a big strong guy who can do a lot on teams, he'd be really valuable. Plus being a package guy for some Iso fade type plays. I'm sure he won't be in the picture but he could really fill a great niche for us. I would also consider rolling 6 OL, or an 11 formation with an end on the RTs side to help with blocking. Especially until the line meshes with all the changes.

He's not nearly as heavy as bailey but his toughness and fighting for yards reminded me a bit of sheed. Isn't really a terrible pick among the imps. Doesn't seem like there is a schoen, but a lot of guys who would be dangerous with the ball in their hands. It's interesting, the majority of the imp wrs we have left on the roster for that last spot are not our typical wr. (6'1-6'3, 200-220 lbs, polished possession wr) They are mostly pretty light twitchy guys. As well as a KR, I think we are looking for some one who can be used in the jet motion package to take that load off demski a bit.
-
Either or would be huge. A guy blocking his butt off is most likely to make the team but having a WR who can stretch the D deep would be great too. It's not nearly as likely, but if we had a guy with the stamina/toughness, a guy who could be a primary return man and start as the last wr would be huge. Saving a DI would be massive. Personally, I'd probably have some one like Ford and one of the rbs return kick offs, with the last WR returning punts to minimize wear. Then I'd DI Castillo, a DT, DE, and a lber. I'd be fine with Clercius, Murphy, and MCI as our back up WRs.

Ba still hasn’t practiced iirc. Don’t think he’s doing well in recovery. We also need to stock the pr with a few guys in for turn over injuries and not working out. Wr will certainly be one starter one kr at this point. And again probably a guy or two for the pr.
-
Pretty normal. We also have a couple db starting spots open. And you need to keep similar volumes of each other to work with in camp. Wonder how he feels about huge frames and 3” vertices? lol
-
I wonder if we see a few more cuts like this before the last game to focus reps on guys. If not I feel like we will have guys we don’t dress for the pre season finale then cut em.
-
So far all good cuts. can’t wait to see final cuts and the final game.
-
and the guy who can collapse the centre. Our Defense worked like our O did at it's best. It started and ended with us winning the battle in the trench and punishing the other team. Leaving them broken and beaten by the start of the 4th. We gave up on that with the DL for some reason. We gotta get back to it, and I think we have all the versatility and roster flexibility plus the guys to do it.
-
Agree that the stamps will be around .500. The cats, I think BLM is done powell by LD for sure, but I don't see a lot of pieces there in general. Sadly, a LOT of back up qbs kill and have killed us. I always want to see it sustained vs different types of teams. Powell is as good as any of the young upstart qbs, but I think he's a year away from making an impact on a team that's that good.

Earlier this year I would've put us at 10 wins plus or minus 1. More likely to be plus one than minus, but we had a lot of question marks the biggest being would we fill the roster properly or old boys it up. At this point, I'd say it's at 11 wins with a range of plus 2 or minus 1. 11/12 wins while winning the west is likely imo. If we really hit on some of these next guys up could be 13 wins. And at that could very well be a better team than last years. If injuries persist could be a tough stretch. In the west I think BC again finishes 2nd. The rest are pretty close. But I think Calgary gets it done with Schlitz at the helm, while the green guys both battle it out for the bottom. In the east, Montreal really has been gift wrapped this year. I feel like they are likely to suffer a grey cup hang over, but still win the east with one of those records that 2-3 teams in the west would better. I think a late season push by the argos brings them back to the play offs, with or with out kelly. I think hamilton slides into last place in the east and the league, while the RBs continue to bumble along with a 4-5 win season. I think the bombers have 4 wrs over 1k yards this year. With lawler and schoen going back and forth for the league lead. I think Nichols/willy gets our DPOTY nod, I think our ROTY will win the league award, Grant wins Sts in the east on the strength of another partial season with a few td returns, Demski gets MOC, Bryant wins it as our OL has a turn around year while riding off into the sunset. MOP? I think the national media will give it to VAJ if given any sort of opportunity.

Roster management! That guy could’ve been a legend up here!1122 I think Habba and garbutts time up here will be tough to beat. agree with that. yep. If there is even a favorite at this point. Definitely no dalton Schoen head and shoulders above the rest. But might all be a muddled top end. They might pick some one based on all kinds of factors. If I could give one of those guys one word of advice it’d be, block. If a guy blocks his ass off his chances will sky rocket.

I agree mace is a great pick. But I don’t think he has half a roster around him worth a damn -
Oh yeah. Their 3-4th guys wouldn’t be on any one else’s roster. That’s part of the trouble with a weak ol. You can realistically only get your hands on soo much decent talent. The less you have the more slop you carry. The more slop you carry the worse your bottom end slop is.

Yup. He’s a wing nut, but he’s way better than hasbeen Harris. Jones is even crazier, but he had been the architect of some good Ds. It’s not hard to see them passing the riders. I also like the stamps having shlitz to back up mayormccheese too. -

Honestly, if the camera work was decent I’d prefer that to tsn. -

I’d like us to run it back against the als in the gc. Agree though bobby dyce is great people and yeah I don’t think he’s gonna succeed as a hc sadly. If any thing, I think edm is closing the gap on them in the west. -
Haven’t scene much of any thing from mci yet. He has a tremendous tool set, but he’s far from a regular ball carrier. Tons of potential, and the ability to contribute right away with teams/blocking. I think we will start to see who he is as a ball carrier in the next tc. If I was him, I’d be trying to learn all the niche jobs. Holder, long snapper, and etc. soak in as much as possible from guys like Brady, and the goat. Rb is his upside. But he can carve a very long and lucrative career out very quickly if he excel on teams and in the little tasks. Getting wr/db one on ones would be big too.
-
Exactly, agree with all that. Realistically, he’s an A++ get. D’abreau was maybe more a B+. The couple weeks a head isn’t critical at this point. Gonna be a whirlwind between the cuts and the last pre season game. Not gonna be a lot of sleep for the coaches.

He did. And personally I love dl with motor. The addition of Devin adams at dl may have also played into it. That guys an nfl blue chip quality athlete.

I don’t think either is a dynamic running threat like I have in mind. They could run it to some effect but I don’t think it’d be worth taking our offence off the field for. Wasn’t Johnson a converted qb? Some one like that would be decent in a pinch. -

I never underestimate our ability to cling to those guys. I do think we need a 4th qb on the pr who can run the strev package. -

We better not sign him again -
More than any thing I think they look at the less tangibles. FIFO, coachability, toughness, prep and off field work ethic. The stuff you don’t get as much of from scouts and conversations with coaches. That and how quick they pick things up.

All our imp dl played well. Thing is, playing well against starting rider ol vs 4th string riders ol is a big difference.
