  1. What’s the difference lol. To be fair I’ve never really used twitter so idk. I think we get some sports news from it occasionally don’t we? Qft when it comes to curating social media experience. Each one is shade of dumpster fire or another. it’s not based on what you look at, but what you will react to, especially negatively. Social media algorithms love hate clicks. Angry people engage way more than supportive.
  2. That’s not the case. He puts him self into positions to make plays in the run game. Hes 50/50 on finishing them. In the pass game, hes not any kind of play maker. you could look at much of the first 4 ish games last year and see him fail in our scheme several times a game. He did get it sorted after that though. dobson isn’t remotely questionable. He’s head and shoulders better at his position after his first year of starting. He’s gonna get a good offer from 3-4 teams in the league. Kramdi wouldn’t get the same offer from 2.
  3. My concern with vaughters is outside of power he’s really marginal athletically. Hes not Jake Thomas slow, but he is slow as hell. If his bull rush fails, he’s basically sol. He’s at that age you wonder when he will lose a step. When that happens, it’s over for him imo. At least on the edge. He could probably be a strong pass rusher from inside for a while after that happens. imo, inside as an imp, he’s behind woods fox and adams, in that adams can develop a lot still. While also being behind Lawson. And the inevitable wasting of the entire game in one spot on Jake Thomas. I don’t expect us to make the best use of vaughters. If he loses any thing on that first step he’s cooked on the edge. He’s tied for the highest paid db on the team, tied for 3rd on the D. In an off season we are looking at losing two starting Canadians in free agency, both of whom are better at their position than Kramdi is, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Kramdi is 70% a contract problem. He did step up last year and if he continues to play at that level it’ll be tenable. It sets a horrible standard for us with the NI and dbs though. It’s a real boat anchor of a deal.
  4. I wouldn’t say no to that. I’d love mccinnis. I do worry we will blow too much on wr/rb/qb again. I get the desire to build that way, but I’d rather spend that money on 3 dl and 5 ol. If we really want to go 30 front full time, I’d go get one of Hendricks and ceresna. Rotating heavily on the dl with wj, vaughters, woods, Lawson, 1 of those two plus the best of Adam’s, Garbutt, fox and Jake would give us a devastating front that could collapse the pocket consistently with out blitzing. reddit has sections with every wing and type you can name. But almost all the worst people of those groups.
  5. Best modern kr in the cfl. Tremendous move for you guys, sad he isn’t coming home but not surprised. Wonder what his pay day was like.
  6. Philpot, dukes, coxie, hardy, Addison, and Begelton is the biggest name. So none of the guys who would set the high water mark. But a few notable names and 1 higher tier guy. I think it’s going to be a battle of who blinks first among the teams. No one wants to give the massive pay days any more, but I don’t think a bunch of teams will want to miss out either.
  7. It was bad before as some political groups basically bought in to being fact checkers. Fb has been trash for a long while. Tbh the average sports fan in the primary target demographic knows next to nothing out side of their roster and what the color/Pbp guys say.
  8. Wilson is a camp flyer imo. Hes never put together a good healthy year. 1 jones is really limited and both play the same position. Neither is a wil in the cfl. Person is a pass rusher. Pierre, is also a light max to wil not a wil to db type. The only guy in that list who could over lap with Cole is ayers. Drake Nevis got a big pay day to come here. Since then, no. We haven’t even paid to keep our own guys at that position since then.
  9. Haba hasn’t developed a lick since he arrived. Came in with one rush move and that’s all he has still. Definitely should be gone. Garbutt showed some nice progress and yeah he’s easily our best contain and run Stopping end. Which is a little bit sad but he should certainly be back in camp. If vaughters has any thing left he’s a good get. Super strong guy who can play end in the 30, 40, and rush from a 3tech in the 40. Not great in space, and doesn’t have the ability to get in on the back side of plays. Or scrape to the side line. Still a big upgrade from much of what we ran out since jj was moved on from. I hope this doesn’t mean we won’t be in on other fa des. Unless we add a top tier imp dt. Vaughters as a di 3rd imp de would be excellent.
  10. It’s almost like we are in the early stages of the off season or some thing eh? based on what exactly?
  11. He was drafted into the nfl at S, and spent two Tcs and pre seasons working at S here. Last year in the last pre season game pre show mos talked about it. Hes a bit of a Swiss Army knife, but S is his natural position and where we have put in the most work to develop him. Taylor was a dhb, who could fill almost any role we needed, including lining up and playing man on WRs. Cole isnt nearly as strong playing straight up on a wr. Taylor played as a sub, which left Cole in his regular role from down the stretch last year. We also started out the year last year using Cole as the dime that griffin ended up excelling at. Taylor also brings a ton of championship leadership that with out ba etc we lacked. Taylor could make the adjustments and corrections to coverage that ba did. it’s also part of our unwillingness to move on. Just like how kyrie played soo much of the gc while under performing despite Ayers strong finish. Taylor wasn’t a bad choice to bring in, certainly an odd one though.
  12. https://3downnation.com/2025/01/30/hamilton-tiger-cats-release-dl-dewayne-hendrix-ahead-of-offseason-bonus/ Hendrix or ceresna would be fantastic.
  13. Both Ayer’s and Cole have gotten nfl work outs. I think it’s very likely both are back here. Cole is being groomed at S. I think kyrie is getting a tc shot. I don’t think he’s taking the job of one of these young guys. Kyrie is great on teams, and can bring strong vet leadership to the camp completion. I don’t think he’s taking will be with us all year, unless he’s on the pr/ast coaching on the field, or if he some how returns to peak form and stays healthy. I’d love to see Jonathon jones and ayers as the starting lbers. This is such a great pick up.
  14. I hadn't really considered it before. I'm not sure. We certainly got the best performance from his career. But would late 20s zach have been better with our 19/21 and forward team? I kind of think so.
  15. Bryant and neuf have been here through the worst. It would be insane if they left in fa. gray wasn’t a starter but we paid him like one, hardrick did end up chasing dollars, holm rose and Kramdi got among the highest pay for dbs in the cfl when they signed. Rose was toast and the only one who wasn’t a clear over pay the moment the deal was signed. we did have offers to stove and grant. This was openly commented on when they left. marcus sayles was excellent when he left. Casey sayles is probably the best 3 tech in the league.
  16. It feels like we’ve seen an exodus for a while. Guys we want to stay or come back from the nfl going else where and guys that are what ever coming back on really strong Money. We’ve lost soo much from the 19/21 team in terms of young guys still playing front office guys. Grant, exhume, Hansen, Bailey, couture, desjarlais, brown, sayles, stove, lawler first time and Sergio too. That’s just guys we struggled on and lost. Not including guys we struggled on an over paid. Collaros was here in his prime?
  17. Wonder how many people from the front office to roster could afford a house. 4-5?
  18. 100%. Love the talent, sucks to lose the guy. But if we are adding a160-200k salary to the defensive side, it should be a DE.
  19. He missed 2 games in his first 2 years, then had the 1 injury last year. He's only had 1 injury put him on the 6 game. Kenny hasn't played a full season in any of his 5 years, he averages 11-12 games a year and 1 6 game stint each season. Kennys best year was 1014 yards and 6 tds. Schoens average over his first 2 is 1300 yards and 13 tds. Greg ellingson had 1 year that is comparable to schoens average. Out of 10 seasons. Ellingson also played a 6 year stretch not missing more than 2 games.
  20. For schoen I’d try to lure him into a multi year deal with a decent front load. Since he’s hurt and giving the money up front I’d try for 230-250. Lawler id want on an incentive based deal. Some thing like 170 with the ability to make 230-250 if he plays 15 or more games, and has 1250+, 9 tds+. Rookie min is less, but still stupid Pennies to pinch.
  21. Offence was leading the league in rushing and passing with the mess in edm. Turned them around into a near play off team after that abysmal start. He ran an extremely dynamic multi threat run based game with a pass plan that made up a lot for their ol. 6 stints in the league as a pass game co/ oc with good success, really made the most of his pieces at each stop. Hes one of if not the most innovative oc in the cfl. He puts together great game plans and play call is his strong suit. All he does is exceed, and over achieve ever time he’s given an opportunity. Miller, for me is the opposite. Tends to under achieve while flashing potential. He’s been noted as a guy who is excellent at development and player coaching, going back to his playing career. Which is why he instantly slid into coaching upon retiring Since he switched to coaching he hasn’t been out of football once. In a league where guys like Paul can’t stick in the league it speaks volumes that soo many front offices of different teams scoop him up every time he’s available. He’s been able to excel under the egomaniac that is Chris jones. Also a buono disciple.
  22. I’d go with Jackson, but I think itll be miller.
  23. Probably not the worst co we’ve had lmao. We’ve had some of the worst CO’s in the cfl in the last 25 years. We don’t need to make sense it’s the mafia/bomber way! tremendous raw talent. I’m bummed we won’t have him in camp. But I do think this clears up space to bring in another high upside rookie.
  24. lol I haven’t followed hockey in ages and that still resonates. Great comparison. As I said previously, “going home” is bs 90% of the time.
