  1. 50 yard return then bust a scoring run lol
  2. It’s a home and home 6 day turn around for the players. That’s about average. Even then if you want to sit lots of guys this week more should’ve played week 1 imo. We have a bunch of turn over, rust, guys who aren’t 100%, and likely a lack of on field chemistry. I wouldn’t say we’ve acted to put our self in the best position to win week 1.
  3. So tomorrow tc ends, we kick off the season on Thursday so we have to declare our game day roster Wednesday. Going to be a fast and furious stretch for the front office.
  4. Totally. I’ve got a lot of respect for masoli. Sucks that he has such trouble now. It’s likely imo he would have ended up our qb if the Zach attack didn’t happen.
  5. Masoli prevented another blow out and turned it into one of the greatest gc games ever.
  6. He’s a neck roll type. We don’t draft soft ol either. From what I saw in the first pre season game he’s above average nasty for our current ol. Plays like a bigger more athletic desjarlais.
  7. We were his first taste of adversity as a pro. Hell of a pill go try and swallow especially in the anointed team lol. Never know what you get in a guy till things get ugly. They got a pretender both in dane in a franchise.
  8. All those unis were hideous though.
  9. If that was the case I don’t think we’d have all these rookies starting in up for grabs positions. I think they’d be fine with making decisions now if they had to, but I think they still value todays game for evaluation as much as the previous games and tc days. I think the depth chart for week 1 is still largely in pencil, not ink. I wonder if kola is having his spot threatened as well. If Dobson is as good at C and Wallace soo good at G, even with Eli out I think kola is being pushed.
  10. I think that is always a chance, we've seen established good dbs play them self off the team fast. Bridges, hackett, and bond seem likely to be close to mcghee. I think Norman is likely to stick around if they like his game at all, with his upside to be a next gen sam, half, or S. Fuller has a huge lean frame with tons of up side too. Bond and hackett are smaller play makers, where as Bridges has the typical db size.
  11. once it got going especially if you put it on a slight delay it was fine. It was a bit rough to start. This is off topic, but I was thinking it'd be nice if the league put together a panel of fans, media and such to make suggestions to the league to investigate. I've seen lots of great ideas on here, (especially from JBR, mike etc) on adjustments to rules and roster. The league and rule change committee seem stagnant. Fresh Ideas might go a long way. Some on line games, and companies do pretty extensive rounds of this bringing customers in house to bounce ideas off of and get core ideas from.
  12. Pretty much. And one is out of position. I think it is a good chance for Wilson to take another step forward like booch said. I'd love to see him do a better job of progressing from his pre snap read, picking up the blitz and moving the pocket or ball quickly to beat it. I'd also love to see a bit more of him using his legs. Liked what he showed in game one, hope he can build off it. Like every one is saying, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the D brings. Mcghee and Ford seem locked in on the corner spots, Like to see more of them. Seeing what kelly can do at S in some extended reps. The Imp Lbers is the juiciest, who will separate them self? They all looked good last week, but don't have near as much DL talent in front of them this week. Some one is gonna grab a starting job this week. Schmekel can he continue to grow in this big step forward and be a legit rotational piece for us? Samson I thought would be head and shoudlers above schemkel but he's gotta play his way on to the PR imo. Adams, I want to see lots of snaps, and at multiple alignments including some DE. Guy is such a freak athlete if he has a half decent head on his shoulders I'd keep him on the PR at the least for sure. But he could make a big case for carrying 2 imp DTs, and I hope he does. Dobson looked real good at both G and C last week. I look forward to seeing him get a bunch more snaps at C. Wallace was the best interior OL we had last week, super excited to see if he can keep it going. Lofton, hopefully he isn't tipping, and improves when it comes to handling speed. He looked fine when some one tried to bull rush him. Coleman at LT I thought had the best chance to beat out lofton, didn't shine last week be great if he did this week. Really need one of the imp OL to step up this week even if lofton is locked in at RT, we need a back up or two. Smith at RB and KR, I hope he gets lots of touches. Could be a super sub and KR as a DI which would add even more depth to an incredible offense. Clercius and MCI, one starting and should get a decent amount of reps hopefully mci gets some decent time to carry the ball and block.
  13. It's how most of the remaining intact teeth in the province look.
  14. Agree with all that. yep. I think the drop off and inconsistency we see from wj, is largely not having a strong pass rusher or even consistent guy across from him, having a force inside that demands a double/can push the pocket, and that when he’s the only decent dl on the AR he ends up playing way too many snaps. He’s a guy who really needs his snaps and assignments managed. When he’s on too much he tends to coast backwards to play for knock downs too much especially when tired. With the depth of de and the imp dts we have I’m optimistic that will all improve.
  15. Probably right with that. Wilson would be sick with Moses and petrishen.
  16. Very much so yeah. maybe as a the naturalized American as a role guy and mentor.
  17. The whole defence is gonna be great to watch. Lots of dbs the imp lbers and dts. Atleast the offence likely won’t be on the field too long lool
  18. Agree with all that. Wondering if other hallett is healthy, if neuf/brady will be ready. I think we will see a couple vets play week 1 who by way of age diminishing and injury are significantly lessened. Like big Jake. I hope Samson gets a good look, as well as some more carries for mci, some passes for clercius and lots of kick returns.
  19. Certainly true. And the worst pass pro he’s had since he came here. Does that make him more of a product of the system? The advantage nfl camps have is their skirmishes are close to the value of a pre season game. If you could reason with people like that rf would be boring. he isn’t worth your effort. We will know the extent of the injury position once the week 1 roster is announced. Till then Lawson is hurt and every one is questionable. I think with it we will see just how shallow tc/team injury reporting is. I think we are going to see two plus vet starters sitting on the ir for 6+ weeks with a week to week maybe they’ll be ok status.
  20. A broken doomsday clock is right only once.
  21. Just meeting the quota for the day of posts on the forum about self loathing for being a fan on a forum. The off season quota this year has seemingly been pretty high but I think it’s going down with actual football going on.
  22. I agree with that. We badly need an injection of qb talent in this league. Some team, needs to take a risk. No ones gonna though. That’s true. Play offs every one was banged up. Despite all the light work weeks at the end. Or even in Hamilton before sask. that was ugly. Talent wise that team turned it around though Imo, Zach wouldn’t haven’t lasted the year in bc last year. I think he’s a retired. Brady, would’ve been just as good in to as here. Aj here would’ve been a beast too. Vaj here is real interesting. He’s the only qb more boom or bust than Zach last year. But instantly better pass pro, drastically less expectation with support from the running game and wrs, plus buck being able to game plan for vaj feet. I think vaj would’ve been better here than bc with less terrible games, and would’ve flashed some nutty upside. IF he could fifo. Idk if he could though. Strevy being back and able to sub in when the offence is stagnant with out a full qb change and controversy. But it’s also a double edged sword. If we do it when the O has momentum it can kill zachs groove. Which is fickle as all qb groves are. We saw that in the past with plop, buck has a big threat added but has to carefully balance the use of that set.
  23. People say fairly often here that brown was a product of the system. Does any one say that of Zach? If Zach was in bc would he be in the mop race? Would Brady be less of a candidate if he was in Toronto last year?
