  1. I was buying a gift at the LC, and had my ID in hand. The casher didn't ask to see it, which made me wonder when the last time I actually was ID'd was. It made my brain hurt trying to think back that far, and I still don't have an idea when I was last ID'd.
  2. People who hold positions that aren’t based on fact or logic won’t give up those position due to arguments based on facts and logic. Any topic should be open for discussion, but facts should only be debated by qualified people. In general debates swing people who are on the fence. How do you get people off wrong headed, disgusting, or extremist views? Figure that out and we are on the verge of world peace.
  3. He was real banged up last year. If he’s taking full reps in the first days of tc, you can expect he’s recovered. I think it’s a good sign as well that we have Moses and Petrishen in camp this year. Some of the past tcs we haven’t brought in any competition. I think Cole will flow to the first opening. Be it by injury, suckage combination of those or what ever else. It makes sense to give him reps at S now, even if we plan to have him at lber. It doesn’t cost us any thing and it bakes in some positional flexibility. Though Cole at S would be terrifying for opposition wrs. yep. And they are very high on Charbonneau indeed. Plus gauthier played out of his mind in the gc.
  4. Agree with all of that. Lber in general is my biggest lber concern. Kyrie isn’t a spring chicken and hasn’t been able to stay health either.
  5. Kramdi already has far more starts. He’s a fringe starter, where as Augustine is a fringe roster guy. I think Kramdi in tc is kramdi last year in term of discussion. But I would be optimistic that his experience as a starter and the point in his career would lead to a step forward which likely makes it a none discussion. We’ve started some bad Ss and Sams. Kramdi is a lot better than that. Idk when the last time we had a bad starting rb with out better options (or injured)
  6. Among imps Cole would be my choice. Juan Lua was a college S among the rookies. Parker has a lot of the skills to excel at S. For ni, kramdi would be a top choice. Kelly has the speed and intangibles to be a good one if he develops. If Cole is much better at wil, I think kyrie would work there too. Biggie has played deep cover extensively and Id actually rather see him at S than getting eaten up by ol half the time but we won’t do that. Keep in mind some of the awful Ss we’ve run out when ba has been hurt and before he swapped. A lot of guys could fill in Better than that. Imo, Kramdi could grow into his role by being the extra db, platooning and subbing in for certain situations. Ill say it’s a big difference between expecting an imp dt to be able to play right away vs an ni to be able to cover. But young guys do need chances. And I think we need to take lumps right now and identify the next wave of impact players.
  7. And the only way for him to make meaningful improvements at this point is to have meaningful reps.
  8. Yeah, mad rash of injuries. Too bad, but my expectations are real low. BA as the nat american would be dope. With Cole as DI, we could rotate and slide guys around to give a ton of different looks. Pepperidge farm always seems to be talking about pepperidge farm.
  9. Wilson and biggies aged combined this year will tick up to 68. Cole could succeed at a few spots, and would be amazing at S especially. But I think he will be needed this year, it's just a matter of time. If any thing pressing happens on D for an NI, I think Gauthier should have earned more of a look though. He was one of our best defensive players in the GC.
  10. Man Darby sure turned to pot last year. As far as NI back up S goes, I think Kelly should be groomed for that role. I love the player that both halletts are when healthy. But Nick is 30, noah is turning 27, both have fought some injury bugs but especially Noah. Much rather kramdi and ford be on D than either hallett.
  11. Rough list of canadians who could/have been starters for us on our roster right now. Kola, neuf, dobson/eli, demski, brady, woli, thomas, lawson, kramdi. If I rank them, I'd have: Brady, Demski, Woli(with in his role), Lawson, Neuf, Dobson/Eli, Kola, Kramdi, Thomas. A few notes. With woli you could get a better wr. But I do not think you could get a guy who plays his role better, or who is a better wr that can play the same role. Similarly Demski and Brady are at the top of their positions league wide. Lawson I think is on the verge of and could this year be the best NI DT in the league. Neuf has been a stalwart on the line for seemingly 100 years. Eli should've already been starting imo, dobson needs to start to improve at this point. Kola is an up jumped 6th ol with out upside. Kramdi is a guy with plenty of up side who could easily leapfrog kola, and could jump dobson if liam doesn't start much this year. Thomas, is burnt toast. Eli, I think could start on a few teams right away, and would. Lawson I think would start on more. NI depth at a cover db spot makes it tougher to start an NI. And I don't think Kramdi fits the role most teams go with. Parker would've hands down been a better sam than kramdi last year imo. Though comparing imp to ni isn't fair or apples to apples. I think ford is a better cover guy than kramdi. But kramdi has a knack for making plays in the box. Kramdi missed as many or more big plays than he made last year. Which is a testament to his ability to read and react, as well as to have the athleticism to get in position to make a big play. But is also a knock on his consistent ability to make the play or make the right play. As far as the last NI starter with an at worst comparable guy to platoon with, that is a damn good position to be in. He's 27 this season, with 3 years under his belt. He's gotten better each year, and should do the same this year. If he does take that step forward, he's going to leave us in an excellent position. If he doesn't, he's still a good roster guy in his prime with Ford just a year younger than him. Personally, I'd rather start an ni sam than an ni S. I don't think he, or much of any one else should have a spot guaranteed. More guys probably have one than I'd like. But I think if Ford blows his doors off in camp that Ford will start and Kramdi will back up.
  12. I'm guessing it takes about 8 years on RF. After that it probably seems like a great idea to use ai to post on here.
  13. There were some fluff pieces about him as the architect of the argos championship team that made it seem like he was being poised for yet another front office return to the league. The cancerous nature of the argos might be killing it, and that might be what he is railing against.
  14. willarguewithanyoneaboutanything.gif A broke clock is right twice a day. Which is 2 times a day more often than people who make being antithetical their entire personality.
  15. can't wait to see him there, hope the weather ends up good.
  16. Which is a fine role for him. He may take a step forward and become a more consistent piece and if he does that is great. Though we seem to be paying him as if he was that now, our 2nd highest db. 140/154 for nichols and 125/139 for kramdi is shocking. 86k base with a 25k signing bonus is no joke. It's odd, because we are generally pretty stingy with DBs. If Kramdi rotates with Ford (which I think is what every one expects, at an unknown ratio of snaps) we are probably looking at a minimum of 225k between the two. DB is strange up here. Kind of like RB, but players get to cash in and stick around long after their peak. Half of the top paid DBs seem like guys who are past it and getting paid on previous accolades or got by more with reputation than quality of play. I'd much rather Kramdi see rotation than either Hallett at this point.
  17. 100%. Surprise surprise though it's defending debauchery by the argos. He may not get canned right away, but I think this is gonna lead to the end of his career up here. Argos gonna argo
  18. I believe he is still working on a masters degree in engineering at the U of M and has a research tech gig at the U too. probably doesn't want to leave that unless its deep into his chosen field of engineering. Been a long list of those guys, always seems to be on D too. Kramdi isn't the worst one either. Actually Jake might be the worst one right now.
  19. I think wallace should be ready for 7th man ol duties and 6th if some one gets hurt. I suspect they are pretty high on Kalra too. Imo, Kola should be the 6th ol, but we are far from bad shape for NI depth. Plus, Gray could well come back if needed. I don't think another teams TC cut NI ol would be much better, and certainly not more familiar. Agree with all of this.
  20. Yeah. Seems like he is going to be "that" canadian starter this year.
  21. https://3downnation.com/2024/05/13/tsn-panellist-ex-gm-jim-barker-says-cfl-staffers-should-be-fined-for-criticizing-argos-handling-of-chad-kelly/ Barker is more likely to get fired for these comments then those two ladies are to be fined. Wow what a tone deaf dolt.
  22. I'm not too concerned about our NI depth, TC and pre season will show us a lot of what we can expect and how things will shake down. A good NA piece on offence would be clutch. Kramdi is a surprise, I don't think any one else would've given him that money. Lawson I'm fine with he should be our starter and play the most reps of any of our DTs. Roster management lol. We really better not be going in that direction. Thomas does not have much left in the tank, and I can't imagine his body is up to major reps.
  23. Mos said in an interview with bauming that he was hurt and wasn't able to rehab on time. And that they give him a day then he is off to rehab. Might spend some time with the teams trainers. He was high on bennett, but also didn't seem sold on guys coming back any time soon.
  24. I wouldn't look too much into the guys who "started" first day of TC. Between injuries and departures it's all about continuity. So they plug in the guys with the most experience while rookies learn. Up to the first pre season game we will see lots of guys cycled through and guys will get a chance to pick it up and play more.
