  1. Dobson played a small handful of right tackle. EIi is a true centre through and through. As such he would slide to guard very easily. When he comes into our heavy set he comes in at guard and our T was essentially a te.
  2. Looks like a well rounded dynamic threat. Running, catching, returning. Pro day had some great numbers including a 4.4 40, 10’ broad jump 37” vert 15 reps. Great quickness and agility numbers too. Stood 5’8 195. I love the north south running. All he needs is an angle and he isn’t trying to Keith stokes it. Hits the hole really fast. Very smooth acceleration with a nice top gear. Flashes some good hands, and I love the physicality too. Very grant Esq is being small but deceptively strong. Don’t expect a guy like that to bounce off people or push the pile but he takes people by surprise. I love this as a returner, back or gmc multi threat guy. Great camp prospect. Real blue chip prospect as a rb and kr. Bet he was on our nl for a while.
  3. That was cold blooded. UNITY! Hahahaa Wow! Every one getting their licks in. seriously though. Desjarlais was a hard loss last year. This is just funny. Get that money yoshi.
  4. Pass pro at guard shouldn’t be an issue. Especially if he’s between Eli and Bryant. I suggested he move to guard and richmond come in at tackle. No one wants to lose the guy, but no one’s upset at losing the player.
  5. Not much difference these days either way. He’d struggle as much in pass pro at either. Blind side isn’t what it used to be.
  6. Imo gray should be a rt. That said, idk if he’s ready for that switch. He struggled at times in pass pro at guard last year. Between he and Richmond we should have a good battle. Let the best guy start. Richmond instantly makes us better in pass pro but arguably worse in run pro. Bryant Neufeld Eli Dobson gray/richmond is the best case scenario. And that is an improvement over last years line. Shouldn’t need a lot of time to gel. I’d agree I’d it was yoshi circa 2 years ago.
  7. Good for him. Hope we shore up our duties this year. Either let Castillo do it all or get some one who can actually punt and kick off. Good for him. I love yoshi, I’m very grateful for every thing he’s done here and I cheer for him as a person. I’m also very very happy he won’t start for us at T any more. He can’t handle speed any more. I bet the riders flip him to guard before the ldc.
  8. I thought the point of the tampering week was to prevent this lol.
  9. And Toronto, plus Montreal. Montreal will reasonably stabilize with new owners, but the stadium issue is as big for them as any one. Toronto has stabile owners but complete apathy in its market and the same stadium issue.
  10. Doesn’t his contract run out this year though? His ass is grass.
  11. Career contract year sack production is the kiss of death. Hladik is the ni I’d go after as a ratio flipper for most teams. I think he’d fit most locker rooms and it’s easy to find a relatively competent back up ni lber. Bennett / kongbo make the most sense for us.
  12. In theory maybe, in reality maybe not practically they wouldn’t if they could. Not sure mlse could just tack on that much cash from petty money. Bob young and doman could though mlse has people to answer to and that money would have 0 chance of an roi. if you used it like a franchise tag, which I hate, you could force higher retention. Other wise the only way to limit movement is limiting short term contract money, or de incentivizing signing other teams guys like restricted and qualified compensation players in the nba/mlb the ladder of which likely hurts the league more than it helps I’d say schoen is 1.5 off those two. Brady and schoen is like 2.5 guys like that in salary pretty easy.
  13. That defence would be massive. I think we’d still have a strong offence as well.
  14. I don’t think the Argos would get that too dollar. Ham, wpg,ssk and bc would benefit the most currently imo. I like it, as long as the cap doesn’t shrink out side of it and teams aren’t allowed to skip it.
  15. I was thinking about some thing similar the other day, though just for QBs. Maybe a sliding scale so any qb that starts gets that money.
  16. What makes our team better, schoen or pickett/hendrix for less money? and Brady/schoen vs both Argos and easily another base deal player? I love roadhouse but I think we would be better with more spent on defense. If we retain lawler, demski, woli, and Bailey we don’t need an ace wr we can bring in low risk high reward cheaper vet type to compete with rookies for a spot.
  17. That’s a good point. Though at this point it’s impossible to know how the changes might impact things could be the no blockers or tacklers move till catch change, or a punt style play etc if the ball is still kicked the value remains. I can’t imagine they take the whole return game out of kick offs. Yeah. And I mean Brady could argue his blocking and pass catching was that kind of value this last year. I don’t think we will see real change until the next gen of players come up who are moving from rb to wr.
  18. I wonder if we’d consider bede actually. Great year last year as a kicker, can do all 3 jobs, biggest leg and best kick off guy in the league. Sergio is a better kicker, but bede might be cheaper. I’d really love to see a consolidation of the 3 jobs, even if it’s a di for all 3. But we really need to improve punting and kick offs. Be hilarious if we re signed legs. The head explosions around here would be epic.
  19. Man I hope they don’t land a single defensive Argo player be soo juicy.
  20. I mean sure but bad players are often free agents. I don’t see a lot of their guys getting offers from other teams.
  21. Toronto’s defence is basically entirely free.
  22. Farhan might come out talking about how every one wants to sign with bc but the cost of living means they can’t compete lol
