  1. damn that’s a find! Yep. St vital has most of the stock. Less big sizes though.
  2. lol, though the stamps cut starters after winning 14/15 games. That’s true.
  3. Idk. The coaching staff moves and not re signing a lot of guys for free agency gives me hope.
  4. Haha I actually considered bidding on his orange jersey, figured it’d go cheap. Bet it did too. I hope we see new hats. A lot of flat brim and meh stuff right now. The last few years they’ve had some great hat designs too, so maybe they’ll launch some new stuff for camp.
  5. I was thinking back to how much stuff I bought after the gc wins and how busy the store and site were. This off season and last hasn’t been nearly as busy and it occurred to me that while the gc wins brought huge financial win falls for the team, gc loses likely have cooled it. so I’m buying a New Jersey, hoody, shirt and hat. For the jersey I’m gonna wait till fa is over, since it’s likely to be either Brady or schoen if they sign. So buy merch! What are you gonna get next?
  6. You know by the pff stats Eli graded out as better than kola to ya. One guy nominated kola for mol, based of gut review. No one else is touting him as the strength of our ol or grading him out well he didn’t rank high on the pending free agents no one was targeting him. If you don’t n agree with the reviews on here, I think that’s pretty strong neutral evidence. Though I’ll again say the pff stats are a bit suspect, and at best single stat analytics like that are extremely un reliable for centres. When you don’t play a guy every snap you just can’t compare efficiency numbers to guys who do. It’s much easier to continue to develop and start developing Dobson/gray at centre than to develop kola into more than a C for sure. Ideally I’d develop gray at a rt and Dobson as a c so you have extra coverage for each spot. It was a fantasy football tool in its base wasn’t it? Some of those guys really know their stuff, but it’s hard to translate imo. Football outsiders was a much better advanced break down site for the nfl. those 3 inside would dominate the line in the run game and wear down dls fast. They would make the pass rush of other teams worse as much as improve pass pro. Love any excuse to nerd out lol. For any one who wants to get a quick evaluation of an ol, watch the depth of battle. Where do they engage a dl, usually + or - 1.5 yards from the los depending on pass or run pro. Then watch where they are when they disengage. If they are getting deadlocked or losing position the dl is winning even if they keep em locked up. You can only lock horns and get pushed back soo many times before you are just beat. It’s easy to look at sack plays and be down on any one involved, but every ol gives up sacks and some times it’s not intuitive as to why or how they got beat or if it’s their fault. You might not know the play call or understand the scheme and that can under rate guys too. But If they are winning heads up battles it speaks volumes to the rest of what’s happening.
  7. Crazy how old he got. This makes my joints hurt. Wonder if this could be atleast partially funded by the nfl, maybe even the xfl4.0. Running it in the us would make things easier. Way easier to send Canadians down.
  8. Gray is a great 6th ol but at this point he still hasn’t become more than that which is disappointing. Seemed like it took a few weeks for Eli to get into shape but man he just chews guys up. When we had desjarlais teams lamented playing us. Our interior is soft now. But we have the pieces. So he’s hoping Eli wins the starting job and that Dobson takes a step forward and wins one too. Because those guys change how teams play is in a big way. It seems gray is pretty locked in market wise due to his study with the u of m engineering department. But his not having signed is strange. This off season feels soo strange and foreign. Change is needed but not used to it at this point. I can’t imagine all these guys go to fa after years of not doing it just to resign.
  9. I get not giving legs the benefit of the doubt. Tbh the only kicker in a long time that I give it to is medlock. If we had medlock on that snap nothing changes. Put wade mos or walters on the line to make that block and we got a shot.
  10. He did at centre and in goal line packages. Take it with a bit of a grain of salt but he was our highest graded ok in the last like 2 months. Our ol is flat out different with him in too. We don’t have a mauler inside with out him. If you try to twist across his face you’re gonna get dumped on your ass. Opposition dls and blitzers don’t fear going between the tackles when he isn’t in. Snapping is critical but tbh both Eli and kola do it equally well. Pass pro as a C is about switches, pick ups, knowing who to help when etc and Eli is better at that. Kola rides his pre snap read into the dirt even if it ends up with empty hands and Zach laid out. He lacks the ability to make post snap adjustments especially physically. Kola has also been exposed against nose tackles. I really don’t think he will be at C long next year even if we breaks camp as starter. We are gonna see a lot of packages to exploit him on the nose. We actually run heavy set more than you’d think. The grading of a centre is about ability to read pre snap, set the line, adjust post snap personally and pick up blitzes stunts twists etc and start vs ending point when you do have a man. You might pick up a guy and keep him infront if you, but if he drives you back 3-4 yards that’s the best kind of pressure the dl can get with out hitting. It collapses the pocket and messes up throwing lanes in a big way. This was a big part of what made our D great with nose tackles like stove and drake nevis. You flush the qb into ends, and cut the field in half when you collapse the pocket from the nose. Only thing I can hope is he signed dirt cheap and will take any role needed. Not surprised s bit disappointed and worried.
  11. Honestly that’d be great for the league. remember when the nfl shunned spread offence QBs because it wasn’t viable at the pro level? For like 30+ years. Juco is a risk, and pro scouts do not want to take the risk and neither do teams. Now with the cap on ops it leaves scouting departments spread thinner than ever. It can also be more work up here. A good us pro or semi pro juco alternative would be huge. A lot of the top talents are too talents because they don’t have alternatives including school.
  12. Dunigan is a solid sneeze away from forgetting his name. You can’t judge a kick before it passes the line, especially if you have to kick around an un blocked guy. lol blocked kick isn’t an excuse. Show me clips of guys left un blocked up the middle on plays where the kick makes it. Blaming legs and not the whiff is insane. Feels like our defensive and line identity will change a lot. I think we might see some guys in other unis we wouldn’t expect too. And age/performance reason too. Secondary has to get better.
  13. It was blocked. It’s not his fault some one literally let their man go free. You’re also ignoring the fact Castillo and legs were comparable last year. Do you blame bob cameron for the blocked punt td in the 01 gc loss?
  14. You might be right about that, I’m not sure. Honestly it might be far more reasonable to have one or two teams host these guys for regular practices, then have them run combine and rookie camp type stuff in other cities. Maybe it’s literally like a pr contract but with the league and would piggy back on that coverage. Some athletic sanctioning bodies are much harder to work with than others. Man and ont are very tough on combat sports I know for sure. I feel like a lot cis kids would really benefit from playing younger super athletic imports. It would be such a huge win for the league even if it developed 2-3 nis a year.
  15. Zach has been like Brady’s balls around here. Deflated lol. I feel like we are gonna see some serious shake ups here and league wide in free agency.
  16. I feel like we want to not use a di on him. Imp kickers are getting rare these days he hasn’t been resigned and we are bringing in competition By that standard Zach is more responsible than legs and that’s over the last two gc loses.
  17. They could play each other or they could be a travelling inter squad practice team for cis / juco. You could build the roster with half juco us kids and half Canadians who fall out of junior or college up here even those who age out. Having a pipe line to juco type talent and a development system for candians would be huge. It could be like an expanded practice roster where teams assign guys to it, every one pays equally for it, and any team can claim any guy the team that assigned him just gets the right to activate them or lose them.
  18. If the league went to the govt with a plan to bring up troubled juco kids and give them a chance to turn their life around they could make it work with out question. A lot of people get passes going both ways for all kinds of legal trouble so they can work. Might be on a 1 strike system, and might have to bring a list of kids each year but this happens all the time. With the nfl expanding prs, and taking smaller guys, and taking spread guys now plus the spring league, the cfl really needs to tap new fertile scouting ground and juco is a huge opportunity. If the xfl 4.0 taps that the cfl could be in trouble long term.
  19. Poopkup houston Castillo rose thomas kola I can’t see more than 1 of those guys being back. Walker really took a good step forward last year. He’s not sayles but he won’t be nearly as expensive either. Great value bringing him back I’m sure.
  20. I’ve thought about digging up fatjartoes career play off numbers to add to the break down of zachs play off games here, but I’m afraid I’d die from the vomiting.
  21. Stanback was a monster and such a pleasure to watch run the ball pre injury. (Still like him too) but his hands and run blocking were sketch. That made the over pay tougher imo. 100% and we really should be splitting Carrie’s this year Brady or not. The value of having a change of pace back is immense as well. If we go deep dive juco, premiere d1 programs benches, and undersized small school backs we can get any thing you could ever want in a back. As a franchise we need to get big value from our next big contracts. We already have a ton of money hard set. A bad deal could screw us in a big way.
  22. Totally agree. Gotta be a bargain for any one. I’ve actually heard that a lot. Couldn’t name a song of hers to save my life but she is one of the biggest performers in the world and not a jlo head case. That’s an achievement. I’m a bit of an ass on a good day with no fame. Zach should live it up. Just like swifts hype has been a windfall for the chiefs Zachs exposure down south is good for us. But for us it’s in terms of recruiting Americans. their ratio isn’t set, because they are staring down the hardest off season in their recent history. The ability to flip an extra imp ol would be huge for instance. I’d bet he’s back on a 200k contract. I don’t think competition exists in the market to drive him up crazy.
  23. Carey is a good back likely, has decent wear left, but he’s gonna be 32 this year. He probably gets a contract, but I doubt he goes into camp as a no1 or gets much money. It was talked about with Dru but not with Brady. The cfl is pretty set on starting RBs right now. It might really hurt Brady’s draw in free agency. The best shot he has is if some team decides to flip ratio despite having a really good back. Toronto maybe?
  24. I’ve frequently seen places top those lists that are awful. Idk how that stuff is cooked up but I’m real skeptical.
  25. He was such a hard hitter and fun db to watch. way too damn early.
