We had 100 opportunities to win that game. Brady doesn’t fumble, Zach doesn’t throw a pick, we don’t run the clock down with a 4 point lead and 7 minutes to go, we don’t all out blitz fajardo on the td pass, etc. the fact that we again, for the second year in a row came one play short in the gc with soo many chances to win is 100% coaching. With better coaching this game would’ve been a laugher. Like the two previous times we played mtl this year. Mtl adjusted we did not, then we didn’t adjust to their adjustments. Roster management is just one aspect of the Meta problem, coaching.

I posted that break down earlier in this thread. Yes, that’s his play off stats as a bomber. They’re terrible. He maybe had 1 solid game stats wise. You’re right. He won, no one gets to bag on him. I bet if I broke down his play off stats and compared em to zachs as a bomber people’s head would explode.

I wouldn’t mind it, I’ve always liked his game. Though he’d probably run us 100k. If we could draft a guy like him for half I’d be thrilled. If we can’t and sign a guy like him I’d be happy. Well worth saving a roster spot. Especially a di.

Tbh we have guys who can do the fb thing. We just have barely used them. Imo if you’re gonna carry 7 ol you can’t carry a fb unless they are your snapper holder etc. I would love it if we drafted a big multi purpose back who can back up Brady carry the rock a bit, play fb, play some teams etc. physically some one like litre.

The size and power gain to the inside with those two is insane. Brady will be averaging 13 yards per carry lol.

A bunch of guys deferred from last year is it should be stronger though you never really know till closer to the draft. Sudden nfl interest, guys getting hurt or going back to school etc. We needed to get younger, and better in the secondary pass rush depth nose tackle mac and dt. Didn’t go for any in free agency. We need most of those pieces again, especially db. Need to draft a young cheap ni rb, need a back up qb one way or another. Castillo was pretty much a wash with legs actually. But legs could do all 3 jobs instead of the punter version of mourtada. Lawson was a trade the previous year and Eli just came back. Keep in mind we lost out on guys like kongbo and desjarlais from our own group that went to the nfl too.

We had the tools to fix every position in hand imo. That’s the real concern. Before lawler when was the last impact fa pick up? I really want oakman but I’m not expecting fa to change our team. That’ll either happen before fa or wont at all.

It just goes to show how many people including pundits etc don’t watch the line play and don’t understand it. On the bright side Eli looks as good as ever. He was smashing the dl back 4 or 5 yards all the time. He should be the C next year hands down. I’d give Dobson a long run at guard too. Let him figure some stuff out and it won’t even take too long I’m sure. With how trim yoshi is now I wonder if he’d work well at guard? It can be hard for such tall guys to play inside but I think he’d be best off sliding in now.

Kola is only effective when he’s un touched and allowed to skate to the 2nd level and down block a smaller guy. And this year a lot of teams have realized it and been sending guys on blitzes and twists at him or lining up right on the nose. Bad tackling and a lack of gang tackling is a classic sign that the defensive coach doesn’t have the room. They don’t hate or dislike hall, they love him I’m sure. But he’s soft and they know it. You know none of those guys are being held accountable. It’s hard to get vets to keep doing that at old age. It takes a task master.

Insane. And gauthier played better in the gc than biggie played all year. Big props to him. I don’t think that means he’s ready to start or will become a starter. But he’s a hell of a contributor and competitor and a guy that certainly needs to come back. Athletes always want the chance. Coaches job is to save the athlete and team from that desire. Every guy on the team would want the ball in their hands with the game on the line. But most would be a bad fit for it.

That’d be nice. also, we need to sign Shawn oakman. Like, reeaalllllyyyy. Him next to Lawson with wj and jj would be impossible to defend.

Ba as a da/naturalized would be brilliant. Id be good with either holm or Cole. I might have both fight it out for S. Cole at wil is good too but I don’t think he needs a tc at wil. But haven’t both at S in camp would give us a good back up, and a scary scary package. Putting both with ba in 3 deep look would be nasty. People constantly harp on talent, but man we have brought in talent. Just like how people used to blame wr talent. I’m worried for next year tbh. It’s gonna be a long time before we get an idea of if change is coming.

Tbh most every team has for a couple years. I don’t like it, but the league has no interest in cracking down on it.

I was losing my mind on the final td pass when I saw them show full blitz again. Normally hall wakes up at half and knocks the stupid stuff off. This time he gave us one of the worst clutch moment calls on D since edm went cover 0 and gave up a game winning 100 yard td to milt. 9 starts 6 tds 8 ints 1854 yards(206 yards per game) 144/209 (68.89%, 8.87 ypa) in a full season of his play off games he’d be on track for 12 tds 16 picks 3707 yards. 2019 11/21 193 1 td 17/25 267 1 td 17/23 170 2021 17/21 229 1td 3 ints 21/32 240 2tds 2 ints 2022 14/20 178 1td 1int 14/23 183 1int 2023 14/21 158 19/23 236. 1int

Hallett starting at S makes us worse. S should be an imp position unless you have a ratio breaker. it’s not a position to throw a teams guy into. gray is good on the edge and as the 6th ol. Start Dobson and Eli develop them keep gray as 6th ol. briggs cadawaller and exhume are all valuable on teams. Briggs is solid as a sub. Karamoko should be on the game day. We do need fresh globals though. Kick the punter and roster Hansen and Karamoko. I don’t think it’s boudreau on teams I think it’s mos meddling with his boys. But shaking up the coaching staff could be good. Get some of mos guys out. I’m ready to see JY take over for hall for sure. grants still very good, he just hasn’t been healthy and yeah running him into the dirt on stupid plays and playing with poor blocking schemes hasn’t helped. I’m sure he will be his usual self next year. Agree on most of the rest. I’ll add gauthier deserves to be here he played a hell of a game. Walker was good but not what we need. Should be kept though. Habba too. I worry that with mos, a lot of the problem guys will be in camp next year and make the team no matter what, again.

What’s really sad is cf played a better game against us in the gc than Zach has played for us in all his play off games here.

we’ve seen full staff wipes or close to it on contenders in the past who couldn’t get over the hump. Not just in the cfl either. Nba coach of the year then fired, nfl teams etc. it is over the top of fire all of them. Most of the asts are good. Mos is a double edged sword and unlikely to go in any event. After tonight and two gcs like this in a row it is legitimate to talk about mos, hall and bucks job saftey imo. Of those 3 buck should be the safest. He didn’t do too bad considering Zach again just didn’t deliver.

It was shocking that he both couldn’t hit his spots on medium depth passes with out pressure but completely failed to check down to open guys. He seems to be taking a step back every year. I mean he is at that age but damn.

I mean we got a kings ransom in the past trading a far more damaged qb to the east. I think 1 first 1 conditional 1st/2nd and a useful ni depth piece plus a roster worthy imp.
