This type of roster miss management and ego over performance is how you get that prior state. 2 losses to bad teams and a whole bunch of flat poor performances. You can make excuses all day, fact is this team has Been punched in the mouth repeatedly this season and wilted constantly. Win lose or draw this team didn’t need excuses for 3 years. Now we need them nearly every week.

It’s insane how we fall in love with guys who can’t return as return men and a marine who can only block down in size has no use on teams or o but won’t use a guy who made his bones as a specialist. Some times it seems like mos is trolling with the roster or soo complacent in his teams character that he thinks we can’t lose.

Only thing I can think is the WRs are just talent grabs guys we’ve wanted for a while. That or it’s advanced looks for tc next year though it is early for that. 4 WRs on the pr is crazy given our current depth though. If we aren’t going to make use of Agudosi on teams then we should probably just move on from him. I’d rather see him get a di spot than Jackson or gmc and get used in packages down field and a lot of teams use but it’s still not ideal. wonder who we cut.

Not to mention Schmekel on the pr. Ford is a fantastic add for us. Between he and Hansen we could have the perfect depth boost combined with fixing our das even with out using the nat ni.

Plus it’s not just that fraction of this years pay. If he came back then he would be off his rookie deal and eligible for free agency in the cfl next year. Wouldn’t be hard for him to get 100k from some one pro rated should the nfl not call him back. If he stays down south doesn’t get any money then comes back here early next season he plays the whole next year at this rate maybe with a long term extension that officially closes his window as we have no reason to give him more for the year. Coming back now and getting off the option, getting more film and qualifying him self for a fa cfl deal plus keeping his nfl window open for next year is clearly the winning decision. Plus given our injury status if he comes back and returns kicks till grant is healthy he could open a whole other venue of getting into the nfl for him self.

He is competing against guys cut last year and the year before. Guys with out pr time, and guys on the fringe with other teams. He isn’t on the call list with other teams you can believe that. The packers cut 6 other dbs. They have 3 cbs on the pr, one on the pup list and 4 on ar. Stokes on the pup list will go back to the ar in 4 weeks. His phone isn’t gonna ring. You can be paid more if the bombers choose. You can’t demand a higher rate deal.

It’s been degrading since the 21 gc win. Gray shouldn’t be a guard, nuefeld is toast, kola is pr quality. Bryant and hardrick as good as they are can’t carry the interior of our ol. I’d swap Eli for kola and Dobson for gray and run 6ol a lot more with gray basically being a starter and woli a sub. Then kola would be the back up.

We can’t say how close he was to making a roster. Each team went from 90 to 53 guys. That’s over 1000 cuts league wide. 512 of those go to the pr. That means he wasn’t in the top half of the cuts from his camp. very few guys sit the entire time on an nfl pr. Guys are cut and swapped all the time. Getting one or two checks does not make him more likely to get a regular roster spot and another check. And that doesn’t make him more likely to stay. Lots of guys get looks then cut. Drew desjarlais didn’t get a single pr check, as a much more talented and experienced player at a much higher position of need in the nfl. The bombers could give him 80 prorated or a bonus that brings him up to 100k with play off money. Which would be over 8 weeks of pr money. Not many guys fail to make the pr and then make a game day roster in the same year.

Has an db ever gone from the cis to the nfl on an active roster or pr with out playing against a wr in the us? I can’t think of any. Other than qb that is probably the hardest spot for a Canadian to go from cis to nfl. The difference between lining up against cis WRs and D1 WRs is gigantic. He barely played in the cfl and while our calibre of wr is really good up here, they aren’t the massive guys down south.

Yeah but i think we’re stuck with Thomas and probably Bennett. But Thomas for sure is gonna have to retire to be taken off.

Kramdi is fine as a depth ni. But he shouldn’t get regular reps. Habba, Hansen, and fox should draw in on d. Gmc and Jackson out. It’d be great to get ford back too.

It’s a tough spot, first contact is chest to chest. Another tackler is in on the contact and the qb dips down to protect him self. The tackler rides up and has incidental contact helmet to helmet. He couldn’t have done any thing different to protect any one. But at the same time it’s contact the head and with his head. I’m ok if that is a penalty 90% of the time or damn close to it. It can’t be a 50/50 penalty though. Like always the root problem is consistency with cfl officiating.

In 2023, 6 fines 1 suspension for the riders. 4 of those on qb cheap shots. The bombers have 1 infraction, for a late hit on a qb. 2022 was an insane maybe record year for them with nacho gate, Marino, Williams and more. Oh and who is the other team with the majority of league infractions and qb cheap shots? Chris jones Edmonton elk. They have 9 infractions with 3 qb cheap shots. The elk and riders gotta be close to 90% of fines/suspensions and qb cheap shots acted on by the league.

I’ll take it. Dickenson should be fined though. His comments after soo many dirty hits from riders knocking qbs out, and perpetual failure to keep his team with in the reasonable rules of conduct needs to be answered for.

Tf you say? No precedent for a player being suspended for spearing a qb late after the play? We have tons of precedent for that lmao. Show me the precedent for a suspended player having his suspension thrown out on appeal. Doesn’t happen.

I gotta say, if some one took that shot on collaros in 19/21, an ol is tearing his head off and getting ejected too. Not looking for the flag. Eli and dobson have some edge to em, but over all our ol has lost its nasty factor. Sorely miss desjarlais being here. I get you. But that’s how to go from 14 wins to 11 to 7 to 3. They’ve raised the bar and are failing to meet it. If expectations are lowered you get many more disappointing loses like this like ott like bc like the grey cup. This team has gotten far too comfortable getting punched in the mouth and not answering the bell. At this point, id fire a co ordinator, bench a couple guys and cut a couple more. It’s not a country club and we should expect to win.

Serious question, any idea how many times the riders have been fined or suspended this year? Cd should get a hefty fine and talking to from the league too imo. I saw soo much after the play cheap bs it’s not even funny.
