I’d rather see more gambles on 3rd down from mid field and deeper, and for 2 point converts. That’s just good football to watch. DT is 100% right. Especially with the quality of punting we have in the league right now. Maybe incentivizing long fgs while punishing shorter ones would work. Though I don’t think people want to see 4pt fgs. Make a fg 55 or longer and you keep the ball scrimmaging from your 10, even that seems really off the wall. Make all field goals from inside the 35 be kicked from the 35? Also strange. I don’t know that any major changes are a good move for the cfl.

Bc has ringmaiden as gm. 3 of their starting ol are former bombers plus a few others. They’ve low key built based on our plans and pieces. My money says we won’t see that unless we get to games that don’t matter. Then we will use it for a half dominate and never see it again lol.

Yep. In us HS they have used an under sized nose. This has trickled up a lot to college and even some nfl teams. Instead of the nose being a huge mountain that dominates one or two guys through physicality, you use a faster guy who can turn the centre and shoot the gap with the centres butt closing the other A gap. I think Jackson could be that guy and It’s atleast worth a try. We throw biggie into that centre but he isn’t the guy to turn him around and blow the play up any more. Jeffcoat and Willy do this a bit when we run cheetah. We are awful at making use out of RBs and flank types like that. Bennett should be on the pr till camp next year at this point.

I love what Jackson brings. I’d be fine with rostering him, as would most any one on here, if we gave him reps at DL to see if he can be a rotational piece there. If he can he’d be a tremendous value as a di. And tbh, I can’t see how a guy like that can move bodies at will and win one on one battles in short yardage but couldn’t do the same in eating a block.

Dl and secondary depth worry me. Kramdi starting again ick. Ol face palm. Glad kyrie is back hopefully he and rose can quickly reach peak form we really need that boost. The roster would be soo easy to sort out. For the most part we have the pieces or easy access to the pieces. We just need to pull the trigger. Im glad Cole stays on. I was worried kyrie a return might see him sent back down to the pr. We are dane evans kryptonite. So I’m pretty confident we will win. I’m also confident it will be an ugly win. And that the longer we play with fire the more likely we are to get burned.

It’s not like he could under perform our Sam play this year either. Kyrie at Sam can only make us better. You don’t see many real 4-3 alignments, it’s more 4-2 with 2 ILBs than a wil mac in terms of alignment. But in terms of role we frequently use a mlber on a linemen and a lber on a gap or two. A bigger guy like sankey at taking biggies reps eating blocks and allowing biggie to rove, and scrape to the ball would be fantastic. We’ve seen a lot this year and last when kyrie has been hurt that the 2nd backer makes bad decisions and takes bad angles. Biggie is better at scraping. I wouldn’t want to give sankey crazy money though. He isn’t a play maker like JSK or a versatile guy like kyrie. He’s a limited use between the tackles guy.

We won’t not with 3 weeks earlier start. We will lose guys for sure. It’s not about pr expansion it’s about timing it earlier enough for guys to get up to speed. if you want to be that new Canadian basketball league and watch the qbing and player quality plummet sure. You mean like rose, Sergio etc coming back from the nfl at the dead line? If that was really our methodology we’d have 1 gc not 2. It’s also not just about ringers. It’s about the top canadian drafted talent too. Guys like gray would’ve missed most of a year here easily instead of coming up. Push the season back 3 weeks and we will see even less of the top canadian talent.

I actually like Jackson as a coach. Mcadoo as jones buddy is ofc going to stick around… for now. Simon should take over as hc and send jones to just dc lol. Too bad it’ll never happen. Simon could take over and let Howell plus Jackson run the offense. The d coaches are green as can be though only Maxie has been around a while and he’s never been more than a position coach under two or more guys.

The only down side is NFL cut down day from tc this year is scheduled for the 29th of august. The guys we have coming in to the league who aren’t getting nfl deals will maybe come up for the final roster expansion if we are lucky. Nfl cuts will no longer return and play hurting over all league talent. If you are going to move it earlier, I’d aim to finish the regular season before nfl camp. This is the crappy middle ground the cfl always has to deal with nhl over lap and nfl tc.

It’s a bit different angle to the qb as well since you see much less te sets plus less running game in general. A big under rated factor on D is you can see insanely long drives that you don’t see down south. Football iq is a big factor. Guys have to be smart and disciplined. If they are they can perform at a high level almost right away.

100%. When I see a 6’0 linemen or wr succeed and become a prospect at the level of high upside oversized guys I expect the 6’0 guy to over achieve. Des in specific should be rated more like basketball players. Used to be you had to be 6’10+ to be a pf or c in the nba. Till teams finally recognized that 4 inches of forehead doesn’t do much, where as 4” of standing reach / wing span does. Habba has been excellent so far and we’ve seen a bunch of 6’ and under dl excel for the bombers in the past. Lower centre of gravity and the ability to get under tall guys is a huge advantage. Two of his sacks came from him basically ducking under the arms of tall tackles.

I wish they would break down over all scores into sun categories. Size and athleticism shouldn’t be mixed.

Exceptional pick up. Much better than old man lemon imo. Big de and exceptionally good pass rusher. Under rated hands, great size, exceptional quick twitch guy. You can’t teach that type of explosiveness.

Considering we brought in 4 different modes, it’s not the gm lol. No, but any hc could’ve won with the 19 run and 21 gc roster. It’s not patience when you’re dealing with a none pro quality player / none starter quality in this league. We keep running out the same ol and people will change their tune, again, very quickly. Win going into a bye and people forget the massive bullet we dodged when collaros limping in ott idk if Bennett took a step forward, or if he was just playing against some burned toast. But at this point I don’t hold much hope of him being a fraction as good as kongbo at any point in his time here.

They don’t value ford. Prukop isn’t 30+ lol. Both are low wear and tear guys. They need qb protection more than any thing as well.
