  1. 75 ground 25 db lol Only in the cfl can you fail as oc and qb1 with one team then go to another team to be hc and qb1. It’s even crazier to me that some one looked at that mess and wanted both. I could understand if the treadmill caused maas to be recycled as a hc. They could blame cf. and cf being a starter? Blame maas. But to take both is crazy.
  2. Hope fully they will use some guys versatility to keep Lawrence on the starting roster. I have this bad feeling they might let him go rather than shuffle guys around.
  3. idk how many imp ol aren’t starters but have that much service. But they would certainly be very valuable. Would it extend to globals? I think rotational de / pass rushers will be really big. Lots of those guys with enough years of service and lots of ni dl kicking around to create depth instantly. might be some rbs who can rotate with ni fbs who block on passing downs. could see lots of older dbs platoon with nis or function as a dime. Would Sergio Castillo count as a nationalized imp? How would that work with a kicker? Would he count as just a ni counter same with grant. If that saves us one or two di spots that would be pretty huge. Neither would play 49% of snaps in any case. Teams are gonna exploit the crap outta this one way or another.
  4. He was a total pylon at tackle in preseason twice and in the regular season. He could be better as a guard but man I wouldn’t want that guy starting for us at T under any circumstance.
  5. Honestly the first half when our run game struggled a lot our offense under achieved in general as well. If Brady ran in the first half like he ran in the 2nd half we would have been top by 100 more points.
  6. Don’t think any one was gonna rush to carry the don, old dave, or wiley. Quick way to end up on the ir.
  7. Honestly I don’t think any one is prepared. The league couldn’t keep the cats following the old ratio I don’t know how the league plans to enforce all this stuff with various subs and injuries. I expect some teams will cheat their face off until the league cracks down and maybe comes up with an easier way to moderate it.
  8. Depends on who and when you ask. Before the gcs it widely considered on here that our offense was great with low passing yards high 2 and outs etc by way of having high total points including fgs etc. The truth is extrapolation of offense to a further our point based on much worse field positions from less turn overs, a worse kicking game, or a worse running game, etc just doesn’t work. It’s like when the rider fans would say Kenton Keith was better than blink because he had more ypc and at his ypc with blinks touches he’d have more yards. We can’t know what would happen in the situations and how much tertiary values are worth. Agree with all that. I think he may be facing a bit of cognitive dissonance in his deterioration though. He certainly still thinks he’s the same guy who barley lost any games during his first few years. And that could make him look like he just can’t pull it off in the clutch any more when in reality he’s about as clutch as ever he’s just diminished over all.
  9. Thats true, they were still a solid offense.
  10. Another thing to remember is that the bombers took their foot off the gas with a few games to go as well. No one else was resting any where near as many starters.
  11. I’d say less than 50% chance one of those guys gets cut. And it probably won’t be the guy I’d cut. 0.00001% it’s grant. I think with our team it’s more surprise who’s hurt and won’t be ready for game 1. My pick is biggie or an ol.
  12. We’ve ran it occasionally with buck running the show. It’s really hard to pull off the pass pro to make it work for more than a screen. But the di wr / grant goes in. agree on clements. Eli it’s all about the shape he’s in. If he’s close to 100% he’s drastically better. Kolo at c is worse than clements at wil. they know Houston will start. Probably giving guys in a battle a better look.
  13. Hopefully they will all be practicing soon and aren’t hurt.
  14. the wr we added in all these moves Braxton Westfield. 6’4 205 4.5 40 37” vert 10’7 broad jump. Red shirt on an naia title team then went down to d2 to play. Physical specimen, productive in d2 but looked open by a mile all the time could’ve used higher competition levels. Very interesting none the less.
  15. Kyrie back on the 6 game right away is concerning. Hansen too. Hope fully they will be ready early to mid camp. Adding yet another punter is an odd one.
  16. Not too surprised they probably take a look at him when he’s healthy again.
  17. I think this is a good question for bauming, though even if there is a reason I don’t think I would possible agree with it. the league needs to grow coverage and broad cast quality in order to grow and maintain the fan base. And as a league the ability for under appreciated talent to find opportunity here is our life blood. We need the best players on game day rosters not hiding on the bench pr it etc.
  18. Sucks. Though at his age and wear and tear he could stage another come back possibly. If he got healthy I’d still give him a look. Makes me glad bc gave him that fat contact in free agency. Beckett Taylor and Wade are certainly the prime candidates for TC MOR who goes Mia or under performs. the previous 2 years we had that de, Montgomery? Close to Willy sized top notch school with a big pass rush pedigree. Even came in mid season the second year and looked amazing in a few snaps in one game. Sack or two tfl and a couple pressures. Then gets cut and no one gives him a look. I feel like out side of qbs and neg listers cfl teams aren’t scouting other teams camps nearly as well as they used to. Possibly from the ballooning of tc rosters and front office salary caps. You don’t see nearly as much tc stand outs getting picked up by other teams any more.
  19. Could be. Would certainly play into the whole secrecy thing the mafia do. Though I don’t think that’s it. The only thing that would do is keep teams in the dark a bit more about guys on the pr, but poaching is super rare now. Is it even still a thing? back in the day the freep etc expected those articles each day of camp and rookie camp. The bombers don’t. I think it’s that less is expected and tait for instance would prefer to write a long (and always brilliant) personal story that appeals to many more people than a camp break down for the football nerds. I could well be wrong though.
  20. https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Julius-Turner-DL-Rutgers https://scarletknights.com/sports/football/roster/julius-turner/10396 turner looks like a disruptive back field guy, the type who sheds blocks and gets pressures or creates sacks for ends. More instinctual than athlete. Played some nose for Rutgers but is undersized even by cfl standards. Guys who plays that much college ball and never refine them selves athletically especially at a good program worry me. They may have upside but they seem a lot less likely to ever capitalize on it. Though for the mafia to bring him in he must have a good head on his shoulders. I feel like the era of soft body linemen is over, especially in the cfl.
  21. It’s much much more content to cover than the drills at the combine. In the past we’ve had far more in-depth coverage with far smaller rosters. they haven’t even reported who showed up and who hasn’t. Remember a couple years ago we didn’t know a guy was Mia till mid camp? I love and appreciate all the fantastic coverage on the personal stories and such. But especially after the long off season this is the time for good football reporting. I know most of the media guys are bomber employees now and maybe that’s the trade off. Maybe next year we here need to set up a rotation of guys going to rookie camp and tc to post like we used to have. I could certainly set up a week or so off to help contribute. Sucks about Henry don’t think he ever reported.
  22. Is it just me or has the mini camp reports been kinda sparse? I feel like from all sources they haven’t talked about guys other than one good catch a day and the odd pick from a db.
  23. Walker was meh, sayles was excellent. Aj was really one year as a return man here. Blink was excellent but again transitioned into just an offense guy. next up was fogg. But yeah I don’t think any one is even close to grant. A lot of our other good kr guys were full time position players or became them. Or left for the nfl. It really seems like we haven’t had great return men in the last 30 ish years. and as good as stokes was he ended up just playing selfish and selling out for tds every time and losing huge yardage.
  24. He was excellent. If we had a nose next to him he’d a been a real modp candidate. I like the guy a lot. But we aren’t going to flip the ratio or work as well with out a nose. I think he will have a great year in hammy
