  1. 100% he runs like a 220lbs rb. Absolutely love his physicality strength and attitude. Doesn’t get caught up going east west too. You couldn’t design a better kr It isn’t hard to find but we didn’t get one all last year. I think it’s philosophical. We need to be based around a nt. But you are right it’s not hard to find that guy for the cfl and our front office excels at finding those guys. Funny thing is he was a monster td threat before coming here. Iirc he’s 2nd or 3rd in defensive tds.
  2. When I first read this I thought wade miller lmao. I’d probably still take him in kick cover. I do totally agree though. If kyrie is hobbled or reduced I can see that. If it’s pre injury kyrie then I don’t see it but it might be a rotation too which could be good for biggie and kyrie. Tony Ortiz. Mr training camp modp. I swear he was in 4 camps here and never stayed healthy but looked amazing in each. 2021 was 10 total kicks lol. His career avg ko is worse than legs worst year.
  3. Not a lot of up for grabs positions any way. The big open spot is the 2nd DT spot. Ricky walker is by no means a lock imo. Next up is centre, I think Eli is taking it. I also think Dobson will make a re fight for a starting guard spot. 5th wr will see a lot of talent fighting for the spot, but it’s hard to also be a better blocker and culture driver.
  4. You’re right. I think he is our best return man ever. Personally I love having more than one on the roster. Especially having 2 back on kick offs. With the other two being versatile be/wr types that can work though not very likely with a di spot on a kicker. Still I think one or both will kick around and get a shot to play offense at some point. Lawler and any d1 wr has been trained in running the 40 since at least middle school though. Not true of a junior kid up here. Dobsons 5.3 vs grants 4.56 best. If he went to a combine pre event like Chris carter used to run (fast, idk if it’s still open) he’d easily be down to a high 4.6 low 4.7. simonise was pretty close to his score with out the junior success and with more track polish.
  5. That almost always smacks of desperation to me. You see the odd ratio breaker but in general the gap between imp and ni Ts is a big one.
  6. Love seeing it. You know he lives and breathes football and has a lot to share.
  7. Sure sounds like it. Sounds like a guy who hasn’t sorted his ability to cross the border. It’s a shame.
  8. http://www.wilkesagentadvisor.com/jordan-salima/ the rb Jordan Salima looks like a stocky powerful back with real good quickness.
  9. So we signed a rb and dt / nose tackle today. A ras over 8 for a nose under 6’1 and 300 is extremely good. Great explosion and strength numbers, looks like a real play maker in the back field. Wish we could have him and obg in camp but I assume this is obg not coming https://ulmwarhawks.com/sports/football/roster/caleb-thomas/5429 https://twitter.com/MathBomb/status/1650132414885240838/photo/1
  10. Undersized is relative. For guys like Montford and walls length and explosive power and quickness played larger than life. Another 5–10 lean lbs would be an asset no doubt. But being tall and 245+ isn’t as important Imo. Especially if you rotate dl. we signed another nose tackle today so I’m guessing it’s true that obg isn’t reporting. Caleb thomas is even more athletic though and with a better pedigree. Hopefully he can be a stud.
  11. Yep, he was. And he could be like some of our early 2k ni Wrs Howell and drover etc. able to play any teams and back up other positions. Grant is maybe the best kr in the league, but I think Cole and Henry will put up a real battle. They are both explosive play makers with the ball in their hands. I expect the best battle we’ve seen at kr in a long long time. Both are more offensive players who return kicks as well. I think one or both with be sticking with us for a while. guys like that with top notch athleticism are hard to come by. While that’s true, the same could be said for most of the wrs who started for us the last couple years. 1 really good 40 that scouts considered and outlier. Lots of guys like lawler running high 4.7s.
  12. It’s insane how they made that point and missed the giant elephant in the room and source of the toxic waste heap. Also how is their ol fixed? They went with their 5th choice oc after getting rejected by every one. 5 win team. Less if Harris goes down.
  13. He did a tremendous job as a co founder and ceo of ONE championship. He’s a world class sports professional with a deep passion for the elk.
  14. Shoot once we cut the punters/kickers not named legs or Castillo we are half way there!
  15. With our wr depth it doesn’t much matter imo. We saw a few guys like whop last year have great camps and just have no room for them. The back up ni wr spot is more going to come down to how many pr spots we hold for it and if every one stays healthy. We don’t have a lot of bodies for ni wr, and are very top heavy in what we do have.
  16. Maybe he isn’t going to be at rookie camp? Damn it’d suck if he wasn’t coming up. I would think if that was they case they’d have brought in another dt already instead of a bunch of ends.
  17. Honestly almost every bad team needs that. They need a miracle. I worry that even winning alone might not turn things around quickly for them. Milanovich to ham seems strange. That staff has been together for a while. I can’t see them axing Coach o mid season little on doing so and replacing him with Scott. But I feel like confusion with what ham is trying to do has become the new norm.
  18. I think it’s total fans in existence last year. things are gonna get ugly fast over the next two years if edm doesn’t get better.
  19. These changes and the removal of the 2 stage cuts in tc are big quality of life improvements.
  20. Must’ve missed him getting mop in that one lol. But he was good in that stint here, though over all still just marginally better than legs in a total of 10 kick offs. Legs had a much better average till late last year actually. None of the 2 are ideal for kick offs. But legs is certainly a bit better. But yes Sergio is pretty clutch.
  21. Legs avg ko last year was 4 yards deeper than Sergio’s, who had the worst gross ko distance avg of any player with more than 4 kick offs. His 2019 average was even worse. Legs is a bit better than league average and Castillo is one of the worst kick off guys in the league.
  22. I believe it’s because mini camp doesn’t have a cap and not every one in mini camp has a deal, they are on a camp invite. After camp I believe the base roster also gets listed, so none counted due to injury etc like Hallett will come off. Even if you take the none counters off I think we are pretty close to the 85. After mini camp cuts I’m sure we won’t have trouble being at 75.
  23. I love those picks. I think Matt Cole will be really good. better than Greg mcrae. I think Bennett will make the roster, and that jadrian Taylor will make an impact for us this year. tazawn Henry is a player in this league too. Might not be here though. Mos jr makes the roster this year and finds ways to make plays. I think surprise ish cuts will be Clements, joe Beckett and a vet db. And the marine makes the pr and into a game this year
  24. He made a couple mistakes on it. Understandable with 100+ guys on it
  25. Type of guy you want in the trenches with you.
