  1. Kicking did not lose us the gc. It didn’t win it for us but blocking is what failed on the final kick. He could’ve shanked that ball for a single and sent it to ot. A lot of things lost us the game not the least of which was a horrible performance by our reigning mop and buck pierces play calls.
  2. Joe Beckett is the big one. 6’4 240 and pretty effective in the pass rush. I think biggie could be a very effective wil or even s in the cfl for several years. It’s just we gotta keep the ol off him. He’s never been huge and now he’s past the point where he can shed blocks to make tackles in the gap reliably. He still flies around like a 20 year old and hits like a beast. Cooper is the next prospect he got dressed a few times last year but barely played. Cole dressed for more games and saw more sts action but still not much on d. Both are tall thin athletic wil types. Lastly is clements who is stockier than both cole and cooper and was solid early in his relief of kyrie last year. Good tackler, but tended to end up on the back end of plays instead of making a good quick read and stopping a gain.
  3. Not like that. Calgary and one year ott went for a lot of 2s. That’s it.
  4. It’s crazy how that is the play that sticks with people vs stuff like the awful pick thrown by prukop. Or that call. Or collaros play in the grey cup. Soo many awful plays and performances to pick through.
  5. Yeah a lot of this core has been together for years. Any year we will see the changes start. Salary cap wise most Guys are on affordable deals. Much more so than a year and two ago.
  6. Qft. it’s a really strong batch of rookies. Gonna be a bunch of dog fights for spots on the roster.
  7. I would assume so. I can’t imagine this happening soo fast with out a team friendly deal.
  8. Crazy old Chris jones. I’m sure Sergio was thrilled to play in front of 17 fans in the ruins of commonwealth stadium. And tying for the worst record in the league, while winning 0 home games, giving up the most points on d and scoring the fewest on offense. Right pleasure I’m sure.
  9. Only thing faster than the bombers on the waiver wire is taits typing.
  10. That’s some pretty crazy value. I guess it makes sense that a crappy jones team can rough you up.
  11. Gotta be pretty happy too. Coming to camp here vs edm. Never a boring camp but this one is gonna be real spicy.
  12. I think the difference between them last year was a marginal coin flip in kicking. Iirc one started cold one finished cold. Pick ‘em to me. the point of having a Canadian is saving that di spot though. Burning a di and a roster spot on the three jobs is a tough pill. And the money if Sergio is still pricy. I wouldn’t run two roster spots and 200k+ cap space on the three roles. That was fast lol. I wonder if we don’t cut some rookies now. Can’t imagine we go into camp with like 6-7 rook legs, plus legs and Castillo.
  13. Those reminded me a tiny bit of another pass rusher named Taylor. He was pretty good too. Lol id be over the moon if he was 10% as good as lt. I love rush ends with that mentality though. That’s what makes Jackson jeffcoat soo good.
  14. Collaros tossing to the end zone is waaay better than any kicker. run up the score like a ****** juco team. he was clutch in the play offs for sure. Shakey in the end of the season. I love his personality. He’s the kind of crazy you want your kicker to be. His stories about being with the jets are great too.
  15. I would bet that the trade discussion was floating around draft pick stuff. Bombers always looking to make moves. small did well mid way through for Hamilton, but I could see them going for depth and competition. I could see the riders going after him too. Guess the elk are going rookie global at k that’s jonesy Certainly not a lot of options but usfl then trying back mid season is probably his best move
  16. Id be surprised if he did sign with us. Considering we’ve got like 7 p/k for camp and the salary he’d command. Unless he takes a really team friendly deal.
  17. Castillo averaged 38 yards per punt last year before returns legs averaged 46.9. Legs missed 5 Castillo missed 3 xpts. 82.1% for legs and 84.1 for Castillo. Castillo averaged 60 yards per kick off legs 63.9. castillo also made 77.8 percent while here in 21, and missed an xpt. Legs is 26 Sergio is 32, Sergio’s deal is worth up to 146, legs max is 80k. The cost difference is basically pic a none star starter and cut them to get Sergio back. Ba level guys. Legs is hands down the best value in a specialist both in not costing a di and in cap space. castillo was good in one play off run. Don’t forget before medlock was the golden leg here he was run out of the nfl for being a un reliable choke artist. Getting blocked isn’t legs fault. If it is then blame the 01 gc loss on bob Cameron for having his punt blocked. Just like 01 half the team choked with lots of guys higher on the list of responsibility. Beat me to it lol
  18. Looking at the roster I’m excited to see how a couple others pan out. Will Allen jr, a rookie db who got an nfl look after college career where he was a 3 year starter, blocked 5 kicks, had a record 26.1 yards per kick off return , with a couple tds and 17 pass knock downs. cam lawson was great in his reps last year can’t wait to see if he takes another step forward this year. Payton muljo looks like a good prospect at T him vs Richmond will be a great battle. And if Richmond can finally stay healthy. greg mccrae showed a lot of shiftiness speed and versatility. No soft spots in camp at rb it’s gonna be intense. tavaris Harrison and jaivon heiligh didn’t get any kind of shot last year but coming into camp and rookie camp with that experience is huge. agudosi is 29 now but flashed some intense brilliance last year. We are deep at wr but that huge frame is soo alluring Joe Beckett, a big body mlber who played some de and can pass rush well from multiple alignments is exciting. We haven’t developed a good imp lber in a while and it’s always nice to have tweeners up here. Than the elephants in the room. Literally in Dobson and Eli. If Eli comes back close to the level he left at I think he quickly takes a starting job. Dobson is gonna push the guards hard too. In his second year I expect to really see him start to click.
  19. I would love to see a break down on the average value of each penalty. I bet pi and teams penalties make up a huge sum. I also bet rtp would be far lower than expected.
  20. Whooooo! Finally! A couple of the guys I’m most looking forward to seeing are, rb tazawn Henry, dt obryan Goodson, wr Tre turner, wr Gavin garner, and de jadrian taylor.
  21. Also worth noting for a guy that’s under 6’ is his wing span is 6’6”. Just 2 1/4” shy of jeffcoat. I tend to think a lot of hard measurables are over rated, short linemen can reap huge leverage advantages on both sides of the ball, but standing reach would be a great one to track for de’s. That and standing vert gives a much better gauge of a guys potential to defend passing lanes than height.
  22. Feel like guys like him are 1 polished move and some hand fighting skill away from being a rotational nfl player. But it also seems like the art of pass rushing is an art no one really teaches any more.
  23. Dixon looks versatile. Love seeing a lber who is effective blitzing. Taylor is an interesting potential blue chip book end prospect. The good: he had a monster two years and declared early for the nfl draft but went un picked and got no tc invites. 2021 he had 6.5 sacks 33 tackles 7.5 tfl a pass knock down and 8 hurries in 13 starts. In 2022 he had 42 tackles, 9.5 sacks 2 ff and 3 knock downs. He’s also a monster athlete. 22 reps at 225, 36” vert 9’4 broad jump he pulled his hammy running the 40 at his pro day, and still ran a blistering 4.63. His agent put out a video of him prepping for the pro day with alleged 40 times of 4.38 and 4.3 flat. I don’t buy it for a second but allegedly the video was big on tik tok or some thing. The old axiom for converting manual and electric times is +.26 seconds which would make a lot more sense him being in the mid to high 4.5s. Which is still pretty crazy. the catch and reason he didn’t get an nfl sniff? he rostered at 6’1 and 246 but at his pro day was 5’11 240.
