  1. We’ve been beat up on d all year same old situation
  2. We beat the pants off their team when healthy now they are missing half their offense.
  3. Command center brutal as always. That defence when healthy is a real terror too. Who is this doing the pbp? Sandman?
  4. Game day! Time for elk hunting. I expect a much improved game out of our D.
  5. Is 2008 buck pierce the best version of him? Almost certainly. How good was that qb though? That offense in that era lit the world on fire with every qb they had. He wasn't as good as the casey printers who went to the NFL, or the travis lulay who took his job, and even 2009 printers after the return was atleast as good as buck was. Dickenson before buck was much better as well. Buck was the beneficiary of a great system and offensive team. Buck gets a pass for never being as good as he should have been where as glenn gets goat horns for the same reason. In bc buck appeared in 80 games over 5 years, put up 1061 pass attempts 48 tds and 31 ints for 8734 yards. Also don't forget, he was fumbling a LOT in the 2 partial seasons he was the no1 starter. Fajardo has appeared in 90 games, over 6 years, put up 1341 attempts, 53 tds, 33 ints, and 11046 yards. (Buck added 1015 rushing yards and 9 tds, CF added 1858 yards and 35 tds.) Fajardo has been more dynamic than buck at his best. Lulay was the best qb with a career derailed via injury in bc. Printers was the biggest fly by night success. Dickenson was the best of their qbs in that era. Buck was our nealon greene. Marcus crandells flash was brighter at his peak then bucks. That era lions was like the late 90s and 2000s broncos. Every rb they plugged in got 5 ypc and 1000 yards. Tatum bell looked legit till he was traded and had to play esle where. Was TJ rubelys peak better than buck? What about Marve or the fever?
  6. 3300 yards and 19 passing tds both separate years. Kg has 9 seasons with more passing yards than bucks best and 7 years with more passing tds than bucks best. 288 career tds to 191 picks. Over 50k passing yards. In the 15 seasons he actually played games in he averaged more yards per year than bucks career peak. That’s including a bunch of seasons with only a handful of passing attempts. Buck pierce put up 92 tds and 76 picks. Buck only surpassed 14 passing tds in whole career once. kg put up 14 in the first year he took kharis job here. Then he passed that mark 11 times. buck pierce is the bombers Dan Clark. He was a warrior and totally loveable. Kg often wasn’t terribly likeable. But buck was never half the qb kg was in his prime. People are bitter about the lost gc and kg never being clutch. But buck is the most over rated qb in bombers history.
  7. 100% it’s not even close.
  8. With the first over all pick in the usfl year two draft the Texas dipsticks select Cody fajardo!
  9. I mean he’s a classic nfl tweener just tall. He’s also naturally very wiry and strong. I mean It’s a more than fair estimate. The real great staying power he has is his coach ability and attitude. They could find a younger long tall de that’s more athletic but not with the pedigree or the ability to fulfill their potential.
  10. Idr that particularly. I do remember some crazy high school leve silly attempts to psych up his teams. And some really bad trades. That was the first I recall of air lifts from the us. Basically what became the Chris jones technique.
  11. Kongbo isn’t LT. He’s a guy who will generate some pressures but not a sack monster. His calling card as a pro is being assignment sound, not taking dumb risks and letting the play come to him. He’s pretty good at pass rushing for a guy whose soo sound in the run game and as a diverse scheme guy. You can line him up in a lot of places and ask him to do a lot of things.
  12. Kelly was a huge pos. The worst move the bombers have made in ages. Atleast reinbold wasn’t a vicious idiot. He was and is legit a good guy.
  13. I think he’s still banged up. Not worried about him as a player. Hope he is gets or stays healthy. Cats cut lee autry a good size dt. Don’t know if we will kick the tires on him.
  14. Cherry picking. 2nd to 4th round picks are worthy way more than you’re claiming. Who is available as an ni mid season that is better than that? Teams that don’t draft well in the middle rounds don’t have high value Canadians. How many first round picks in walters era are still on the roster? 3. How many are starters this year? 1. How many second rounders are on the roster? 5. How many are starters currently 2 plus couture and hallett. 3 out of the last 5 years no first round pick. You don’t want to see the split in ni starts for the bombers by draft round. The first round gets slaughtered. Our retention of first round picks in that era is very low. What was faith ekakities value the year after he was picked first over all? The bombers have lost more talent this year to the nfl, cfl fa and injuries than the riders have lost in the last 5 years. The combined roster of loses since the 19 grey cup wins would be the second best team in the league easily.
  15. Hense under contract for next year. Guy like jagared Davis for this grey cup run and next year to rotate with Wj and jj? I’d give either the pick or Dobson up for that. It is supposed to be. Though you don’t really know till the week of the draft. I think our history of trading draft picks contradicts that a bit. For a single year grey cup rental I’d probably want a de and a wil both all star type guys and maybe a bit of sweetener. Couldn’t say no to Avery Williams and mauldin for instance. Even as rentals. Assuming kyrie wouldn’t be back. I would guess that on the pick he did some thing dirty. Considering blocks to the back seldom get flags little on fines I’d assume it was real bad. Which is strange Walker made some great disciplined plays I don’t suspect we will hear from the bombers. If it was legit dirty they’ll sit him this week.
  16. Neither. You’d keep all three. Personally I would be looking at sending a first and some sweetener ideally. If it’s for a top tier guy under contract next year then dig deeper with a guy like Dobson. Maybe Chris jones would want one of our back up qbs or bolo to play db.
  17. Yeah I think it’s like the nichols trade. They thought neufeld peaked when clearly he hadn’t. They thought he was expendable. Bad teams make bad personnel moves. 100%. They’d kill to have him now.
  18. I actually like the argos chances a lot this week. Vaj seldom has good games back to back and coming off a humiliating loss the previous week I think tor will be very motivated. The hype train for this lions team is never gonna end. They’ll lose in the first round of the play offs and 3dn will right anxious opining about how they’d a won by 4 tds in every game if rourke was healthy. Top drawer sir. I love Dobson but I would trade him for the right de or wil if kyrie won’t be back. Maybe with a kr for pick kick in.
  19. I believe that’s confirmed. and I love it. Two dbs with good league experience and lots of gas in the tank. I do like adams a lot but I’d really like to see us get another good pass rusher unless we are going to roster a guy and actually use them. wonder if we will see another trade or if we are done.
  20. No1 most boned team in the league for injuries imo, bc. Aside from stove missing the whole season and their other prized off season dl pick up missing like 10 games the team they are with rourke vs with out is huge. No2 ott. The difference between Masoli and the rest of that heap of qbs is huge. no3 is the bombers. Half a damned defense a bunch of wrs constant injuries on the line. stanback in Montreal is a bigger lose than the riders suffered this year. I would say the riders are the average for injury loses on the season.
  21. Damn that is a crazy combined loss for the argos. This years modp is going to be legit tough. I suspect it’ll be between sankey dean and Willy j in the west. This is a year some dbs should get love but they probably won’t.
  22. Or guys that Ritchie brought in after being cut by other teams only get lots of use out of still. Mcgriggs nash Marvin Coleman etc db is a peculiar spot and we run a very particular defense. Darby fits what we do like a glove. Really the more safety skills you have as a db here the better.
  23. They’ve been listing cooper at de but he’s 220 lbs and played lber in school. He’s also dressed for 3 games and not played a snap. I wouldn’t expect him to be taking meaningful reps at de. Bronson is listing at 277 I’m guessing he’s going to be used similar to walker and sayles as well. Adams is good but even with a healthy Wj and jj that’s thin for us. And safety. He can basically play any defensive position. If ba wasn’t healthy he’d be the guy to put at s. I expect he will be taking a hb role. sure would be nice to get houston back this year. Atleast one of the young dbs holm hassell and parker need to step up. And rose too. Yep
  24. Love getting Darby back. That’s huge. Kind of odd that we sent wilcotts when we are paper thin at dl as well. Maybe they have some one on the verge of signing
  25. https://3downnation.com/2022/10/04/lemon-for-dpoy/ The modp is wide open especially in the west This year but I don’t think lemon deserves it. Half of his sack production has come against Edmonton. In 6 games against the bombers and lions he has 1 sack 9 tackles 0 ff.
