  1. He’s still not good, but he makes the right decisions and the interior isn’t trying to cover for him to the point they fail at their own assignments. He’s a great guy to have on the roster. Hope couture is back starting soon. Didn’t realize they took him off the pr.
  2. Not too surprised I mean he was crazy explosive. Like usain Ryan crouser. Every so often a guy like that comes a long. Crazy how many don’t make it to or through college. a lot of rbs end up going pro with a ton of wear and tear. Every one is losing their mind over kayleb Wagner breaking records putting up nearly 40 caries a game. Better faster back. But not as quick imo. The best back in history imo.
  3. The quickest shiftiest player I’ve ever seen in any league at any level. I don’t think he needed the same work out regiment. But I think being leaner, and stronger would’ve made him into an nfl player. Nothing was going to give him a top speed gear. And with the nature of his bursty change of direction running any thing that put more wear on his hips knees and plantar facia to high ankle area would’ve shortened his career.
  4. Db yeah but I think he was an extreme outlier in that era. He was the first interior linemen I can recall in the cfl who was a top level athlete (national rugby team iirc) if stove played the length of dbs career in the cfl he’d be at worst the second best dt in league history. most every position out side of ol is like that in football now. The big difference is that most dts in the cfl can run like des used to and des are better run jump athletes than half the wrs in the league 20 years ago.
  5. He would make moe elewonibi come out of retirement so he could re retire. people are talking about the Jump athletically from then to now and I agree at most positions like rb and wr it’s not huge. Not like going back to the 80s. But on the line, things have changed dramatically. and among the new generation of athletes playing interior line positons stove is still a different kind of animal.
  6. It’s also worth noting that for the first half or so of our games played we ran more than we do now to much less effect. Less touches for wrs and more demand for deeper passes to make first downs. I’m not worried about our starters at wr at all. If we can being back lawler at a reasonable rate in the off season then great. If roadhouse some how isn’t nfl bound fantastic. But If we go into camp next year with a core of demski woli Bailey ellingson gmac bolo and agudosi I’m good with it. Gmac has shown he can be a focal point of the offense or a guy that gets mixed in. Next year I think he will take a huge step forward and be like schoen now. Too good not to give a lot of touches. if we lose schoen and ellingson And don’t get lawler I could see us being in the market for a vet wr. But even then more of a low risk high reward move than having to over pay for a star. Collaros develops wrs into stars.
  7. Hof I agree he should get a nod. Crazy how long he’s been good for. I think mo would’ve been close with another couple seasons too. Hurts that he and randle island missed out on the great success.
  8. This. Love Jake but no chance. Jeffcoat would go up before him and even he doesn’t have much of a chance. kyrie Wilson if he can come back and sustain his play earlier this year and in the stretch run last year would go up.
  9. I think milt Bruce sellers and blink would be as hard to defend as any one playing today. But I think the 02 team would get beat on the line of scrimmage by the 21d.
  10. I think the depth was still pretty good but they performed like mercenaries. Not like a team. I mean you have soo many guys on that team that are all time bests at their position for the team. Best of their position that team vs this team would be mostly 01 guys.
  11. Love seeing that young man kick ass and take names. Hope they pay him well in the off season.
  12. 01 team had a better defense. 01 team had bigger stars. This team, is a winner. Easily a better unit today. The 01 team was less than the sum of its pieces. This team is more.
  13. A lot of the same names have been said. And great picks too. I love what Wj does and brings I think he has a few much better defensive players a head of him in the list. demski is a sleeper imo. A few more years with his continually increasing productivity could lead to him getting in. sleeper pick part two is ba. Again if he has a lengthy career I think he’d be ripe to join.
  14. Approached, I think so. I think jy could get a dc and ast hc gig. That’d be a super smart move for a team that brings in an offensive upstart or retread hc. hall is interesting. I don’t think he’d go back to regina with all the stuff that’s come out after he left. And I don’t know if he wants it. I feel like he truly loves it here and the guys around and under him. If I was ott I would strongly consider some combo of him, jy and bob dyce. Hc dc and maybe front office or teams role with qc side hustle will any of them jump, man I really don’t know. I think if goveia goes to be president/gm though the chance goes way up. That’s interesting I didn’t hear any of that. If that’s the case I would use the up tick to keep goveia around.
  15. That is possible. Though khari doesn’t fit what the bombers have done under plop and buck I think collaros would love that playbook and call. Personally I’d be happy with that swap. Dream wr core. Collaros would be lined up for the greatest season by a bomber qb ever. that would make sense to me but I don’t think they can attract a good experience hc at this point. Chris jones is the only guy I can think. If Oday isn’t canned which he should be that’s fully what I expect. If he is I think they look for a high character co to develop as a hc. I don’t think wade is leaving his current role. I also don’t think walters wants his job and I really don’t think mos wants to be a gm. Buck is still very green as an oc personally I wouldn’t hand him a hc job. Only guy to survive the previous regime and ended his career here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was happy to stay here under what ever role for as long as we’d have him. That kind of stability long term in coaching football is the greatest commodity.
  16. I was thinking that could happen if his price comes down. With roadhouse nfl bound next year it’d sure line up well. Love lawler and would be happy to have him back. If rourke is back in bc I think they’ll go after him hard again. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them to bring in a couple big wrs then.
  17. Have to think that lawler is done in Edmonton at this point. Who ever goes in to rebuild isn’t gonna be spending 300k to retain him. I wonder if bc jumps back in on him. Wonder if they move on from lucky to make room too. Lawler been just as good this year as last with terrible qbing. If he had stayed here he’d a had stupid numbers. https://3downnation.com/2022/10/02/theres-a-lot-of-people-going-to-be-calling-for-my-head-riders-qb-cody-fajardo-sees-dealing-with-fan-negativity-as-part-of-playing-in-regina/ he isn’t wrong, it’s true of most any starting qb but even more so on a passionate fan base team. But damn is it stupid to say it. Especially when he’s just lead his team to yet another loss to the blue lost 4 in a row and gone from above .500 to three games under. They are on the fringe of the cross over spot and he doesn’t have a contract next year. What positive effect does he think this could have on his team or the fan base? He’s about as bright as dicker. I bet he goes into camp as the no2 qb in Hamilton next year.
  18. Because they are getting it again by default havent and won’t turn that into being contenders. The no1 priority in Toronto football is making a news splash. Going after mos is as good as it gets for them other than bringing in another Ricky Williams.
  19. I don’t think edm is a threat. But still won’t be comfy till his name is on a contract. I think the biggest risk will always be his old buddy pinball and the team he went to the hof with. It’s also about teams poaching others like goveia younger etc. I don’t think any one will give Danny mac the quality of life work balance he gets here I don’t as much worry about him leaving.
  20. Better than goveia leading a bomber exodus to crieder land. it’s gonna be a pucker your butt off season till mos is back under contract. Lots of teams will be in the hunt for new coaches. They were a year away from being a good team. Instead of a good bad team. Masoli was never going to carry him and the rbs to a career saving season.
  21. Harris is/was a balanced back. Not a power back. He ran hard and could push the pile or beat the odd db tackle. Hense why his go to power move was the stiff arm. Brady, is a pure power back. He runs into and through tacklers. He’s a good 25lbs heavier. brady has really seemed to learn from watching Harris. The multi cuts when he lengthens his stride but he doesn’t run for angles on dbs.
  22. https://3downnation.com/2022/10/01/ticats-release-2021-top-rookie-desmond-lawrence-add-two-more-to-the-secondary/ worth a look imo
  23. Mos doesn’t call the offensive game plan. And Brady wasn’t taking wear and tear he was inflicting it. Plus he’s like 24.
  24. They can adjust guys to the 6 game retro actively. And soo smooth. I’d take him over 2/3 Canadian airfarce members in ssk.
  25. I was holding my breath hoping that ba wouldn’t go out like mo did. Feeling much better about it now. and yeah ol played very well.
