we had the same roster management issues before the gc wins. Because as it is we are significantly diminished from last year. What do you think this teams off season looks like? Our best wr gone to the nfl our struggling ol another year older. We are going to see the biggest coaching turn over in the off season the bombers brain Trust will be highly targeted. do you remember what happened following the 2001 grey cup loss? That’s what happens if you don’t grow every year. look at the drop off in play on our ol And dl play from one year to the next.

normally our adjustments on defense mid season have been clutch in the mafia era. This year is we’ve back slid heavily. But because we’ve won we just keep making the same mistakes. We don’t keep guys fresh and we don’t gap cancel properly. It’s soo frustrating. I would hope that getting punched in the mouth by a crap Hamilton team wakes us up. But the depth chart doesn’t look like it. The thing that kept the Dickinson stamps on top for soooo long is that they made the right hard decisions quickly. I think this coming off season no matter how this season plays out the bombers have to make some hard choices and changes.

Our roster management is often lacking (perhaps a side effect of mos going from sts co to hc) but our pr useage has not been this poor before under the mafia. usually seems to be strange guys like that when you have a first or peculiar contract. It’ll be interesting to see in the off season if Vets are lured more by guaranteed cash or big risky pay days like lawler.

As always our roster and di management continues to be befuddling at best and frustrating af at worst. They never clearly state the nature of injuries during the season pre post or regular. I don’t expect to hear any thing till he’s back at practice or the season is over.

I would love to see him dressed this week. But I doubt it.

Gavin walls esq guy with similar upside. A bit more size and real pass rush polish is all that separates him from being elite. Love the talent, the riders are very deep at dl and we are incredibly thin. Makes a lot of sense. I don’t think they’d bring in a guy that’s toxic that’s pretty clear. Wanting out of that locker room is understandable. If he doesn’t fi he will fo real quick. I expect him to be rostered or cut with in a couple weeks.

Lots of guys are and have been nuts. Dunigan was through he was good crazy. Brady to lt to ditka lots of all time greats have been. His ghosts of ancestors past crap is far more common crazy than you’d think. You just don’t often hear about it. Especially long time phenoms from hs and college in small towns. The forced indoctrination and cultish religiosity goes hand in hand with football in the biggest hot beds down south. crazy people are capable of nearly any thing in short spurts. Right now if he doesn’t win it, it’s robbery.

That’s his total hard money. His base is 270k. He got 100k signing bonus and it’s safe to say he hasn’t made much from the incentives. 270k pro rated to 1/3 of the season is 90k. Lots of teams could flip that.

I wonder if lifting of the mandates for border crossing will be a boon for bringing in nfl cuts. Each of the last couple years we’ve seen far more trade action. If we don’t see a jump in guys coming up with the mandate change or if it’s too late I think we might see the biggest cfl trade dead line week in recent memory. I could the elk having a fire sale and going all in on future value.

Keep in mind that we’ve also constantly tried to keep a good imp tackle with lots of up side on the pr. And have done soo pretty successfully over the great ol stretch. The difference is that since yoshi moved to tackle we have seldom needed a tackle or an imp ol. If we were going after a vet in the league it’d likely be a guy that has upside and not realized it yet. We actually have 4 imp ol on the pr plus Richmond. That’s a lot of us beef. I think the only way we see more come in this year is if one of them gets cut. I believe it. I could see him being a guy who floats between ir and pr after the wheels have fallen off for his leadership a lone. I really hope the guy moves into coaching here after his career.

You mean the shoe in for mop? He’s more super hero than man according to the media. cfl media is terrible. Rourke coming back would be negligence. That young man has his whole career ahead of him. If he comes back this year that’s seriously put at risk and doesn’t necessarily give them any improved chance to win. him being hurt gives them their best chance next year.

His listed size Varies wildly. But he sure looks 6’4 260 range. Doesn’t have strong testing numbers but shows great closing burst and a nose for the ball. Reminds me of hansen.

He red shirted in 2019 this is his 3rd season. Generally you get 5 years to play 4 seasons of your sport. He could play another year. Idk if he’s eligible for a Covid bonus redshirt year. His production to this point wasn’t strong. I would expect him to go another year unless his team is aging out or he really has a huge year and gets nfl interest

Plans can change real fast when you haven't gotten a paid in a month + I would love to see DD get onto a roster and show what he can do. I think he could easily be a very good nfl guard. I hate seeing guys rot on the PR, but I get it. And keeping miles off his body isn't much of a loss. He could start in the CFL well into his 30s pretty easily. We've seen a lot worse NI ol stick around really late into their twilight, especially with east division teams.

Wr isn’t the position for us to hand out a ton of assets to right now unless ellingson isn’t coming back this year and woli won’t be back. Generally every team in the cfl is bringing in dbs wrs and both linemen all the time.

No but in a perfect world I’d bring him in and a nose. You could ensure every snap the ol was given fits and every one was kept well rested. We went from getting pressure with every dl on the roster to struggling to get pressure with our stars. This is the repercussions from being too good in the cfl. It’ll take time to re establish the depth long term. But right now we need some plug n play guys.

Totally. I’d love to see him as a 4i end and as a twist on our cheetah package. We could run him Wj and jj with. The stunt potential with him would be tremendous. He could play 4i with sayles in a 2i alignment. Twists would be incredibly hard to defend for the opposing ol. Then you can essentially counter act not having a nt by forcing three ol to defend those two. We could deploy Wj as a stand up rusher, and we could use a run stopping 30 front with him jake and lawson. That lets you spell Wj and jj or throw either in with a stand up rush or line them up in a 3-4 over with a straight line to the qb. it’s open up soo much versatility and that’s some thing that our defense thrives on.

Yep. And Perez getting into it then being traded to him. You can say a lot of things about reinebold but bad guy or bad sport are not among them. this was the only thing in the cfl I could think of that was similar. romanowskis assault in practice with the raiders comes to mind but yeah nothing like this at the pro level. Lots of it at hs and junior.
