Mulligan is a joke. So is maas getting coty. Other wise it went down right which is more than I expected tbh. Stoked for Brady to get what he should’ve last year.

CFL - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

I look forward to seeing the teams grades from the pa in December that should be really interesting -
The value would be getting an idea of the back pages progression stuff that we haven’t shown. In the modern era with cadence and term adjustments weekly it isn’t what it used to be. The Argos will be well prepared for what we’ve done this year. It’ll be up to buck to come up with some thing to keep them off balance. Same thing Scott or no.

CFL - 2024 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Interesting. Must be loving life on the sun shine coast. -
Hansen is a beast. 2021 Hansen wasn’t great peak. He’s had some injuries and he’s 31 now. Still a great motor role guy. But not a big difference maker. We had a lot of guys who made big plays in 19 and 21 too.

I don’t think arbuckle can carry a team to a win against our D. He’s had two starts vs us, one bad game one good game. 300 yards 1 td no ints in the good game. But we beat them easily in that game. Grant is the major X factor against us. The Argos dl gave us all we could handle last time. Kelly wasn’t great, Kadeem had one big run. It’s gonna come down to how our ol plays vs their front. Folorian and ceresna whupped us last time. I would seriously consider starting Randolph at guard. Though last time we had the 6 ol with out both fbs. So maybe 7 ol and the 2 fbs makes the difference. Randolph though imo would put us in a great position. If we get Cole back on too that’d be huge. Yeah. I think it comes down to the difference of 1 extra ol on the bench and 1 extra fb, or flipping ratio to have Randolph as well. We might be good enough on the front with Wallace and feltmate. Especially with better adjustments like we saw vs ssk. With Randolph an extra ol body and an extra fb I think we have the advantage.

Hedged your bets, I’ve done that in the past betting against the bombers on the spread. (Never to lose though, just superstitious enough not to be able to do that) I think this is the first time I didn’t miss a week. Thats the real win.

Kramdi is a much better player, Hansen is a different kind of warrior though. Hansen probably would’ve been an upgrade at de or lber much of this year too. Not a great comparison imo. I think ayers to Hansen or Cole is much closer. Though both are imps not globals. I love Hansen and I’m happy for him that he’s still playing. I’d be thrilled if we brought him back in the off season. I hope we kick his ass next week. Tbh I’m more worried about grant. Hes gonna have a big chip on his shoulder and we struggled with Alford who isn’t a fraction as good as grant.

Kola and Dobson each had an ole. But both bounced back reasonably well. Lucky returning was a negative. Shanky hands. Not a lot to pick through though. Even Jake while being a turd in pass pro was reasonable in his gap out side of the bust. Hard to expect more from the players than we got in the west final. That level of production, and execution should win you 99 games out of 100.
-
Sure. Thing is, he’s one of the highest paid defenders in the league. When you’re making 200k+ a year you need to do better against frankly terrible tackles with a good game plan. I know holding on the offense along with no yards is no longer a penalty in reality. And that’s lead to a ton more clutching and grabbing. But a guy like that still has to fight through.
-
With his athleticism you for sure hope to hone him into a ball carrier. His floor is an h back super sub teams guy. His ceiling as a skill player is extremely high. We did a lot with Brady (And he did him self as well) with respect to developing as a rb. He might never be Brady 2.0, but I think it’s reasonable for him to be a change of pace back putting up 400-500 rushing and a couple hundred receiving while doing all the other stuff. I think we could see him start to mix in as early as next year.

I think a player has the right to kneel for the anthem. Refusing to stand for a moment of silence in respect of Remembrance Day, Murray Sinclair and Ted Wyman is trash. Even if you don’t know who they are (sure he doesn’t) that’s not a situation to act out.
-
Schmekel indeed brought it. Blocking on the heavy set too. Guys got tons of heart and motor. Kyrie wasn’t making flashy plays, but he was doing a great job gap cancelling. He and jones worked great together in the run game. Kramdi and holm stepped up in a huge way. Love to see it.
-
Yeah it’s huge. We will need the same from those 3 next week, and for maybe one more guy to step up and have a big game. You know the Argos will plan to take away as much of lawler as possible.

Most were happy for us in 19, but would’ve preferred Hamilton. What we did in 21 broke them. We’re the Yankees now. If you aren’t a fan, your 2nd favorite team is who ever is playing against the Yankees. Many hate us for knocking out rourkes lions too before his nfl stint.

Wonder if he needs the number of a good sports therapist… maybe that aussy dr who amputated the wrong leg
-
If any one picks the Argos ban their ass! Even bluto 🤪
-
Nielson and lalji too. No one ever talks about that like they did jagared Davis going to what 3 cups in a row? Lol
-
Punter and Jake did their usual stuff. Kick cover struggled most of the game. That’s really it. Pretty impressive. Wj was invisible till late too. if zach has a game like this next week it’ll be all that’s ever talked about. Atleast until next year lol. He wasn’t overly accurate, but he didn’t throw many dangerous passes and made really good decisions. No forces into heavy coverage. Didn’t have any give aways. That’s what we need. I wonder how badly we just hurt the riders chances of getting any season ending awards too.
-
Gee I wonder if that might’ve had some thing to do with having to throw 60 ******* passes to try and over come the roster and coaching lmao
-
You mean the guy who put up 487 passing yards and 3 tds in the play offs vs a much better secondary with no rb and the worst coaching in the play offs?
-
Well over 200. Yeah they played really well. Schmekel was great on the short yardage offence again too. Him n Wallace just smashed
-
Demski had a ton of touches and fought for tough yards. Numbers don’t pop but he was key for sure.
-
1 holm. Monster game, best of his career. 2 zach, Brady, Kenny. Dominant performances. Offence really drove us to the win. 3 the ol. Great game especially in pass pro. hh ayers inside outting his man to make a diving stop on kick cover. crunch of the game kramdi on the big sack. block of the game Brady on zachs 2nd td pass with a clutch block up the middle. Teds turning point the fumble setting the riders up deep in our end, a good toss to the end zone but holm with a big hit breaks it up for a turn over on downs. Honourable mentions kramdi, Wallace, big Stan, jones, schmekel, fox, and Demski. clown shoes to the rider bias of the panel and booth.

Have to be excited! 38 year old qb lmao
