depth chart has me feeling woozy

The ol has hastened Zachs down fall. But if you look at his good games the last two years, he needs to practically run into a throw to get it 30-40 yards down field and it will still end up well short. He can't get the ball out quickly or cleanly either. And if you look at his play off stats here, he had 1 good game and a whole lot of bad games.

I mean they literally just ruined dalton schoen bringing him back repeatedly and continually allowing him to play through re injures. If they said no one time he probably still has a decent future.

Makonzo has practiced every day for what 2 weeks? still out. Still stuck on 1 game. wonder if he’s recovering ok, struggling to get his cardio or just stuck on the bench. Could be an interesting roster with the depth of guys banged up. But i don’t expect much, even if we roster guys like bailey they probably won’t play.

I don’t think you can really stack up the lions then future performances vs other teams to reduce the production in our first game of the year. Things change a lot when film is sufficient and rosters change. Strev played well enough to have that game well in hand. If you want depressing strev stats though, he has 4 total games with 200 yards passing or more. 2 of those games he had more picks than tds. 1 of those games was 300 yards or more and that was one of the games with more picks than TDS. Or that in 18 he had 5 games with more passing tds than ints. Since the end of 18, he’s had 2 games with more tds than ints.

He’s got a similar disregard for outsiders, and a similar stubborn arrogance. He hasn’t gone full kelly though and I don’t think he ever would. he’s also earned far more as a hc than kelly up here.

On one hand most teams didn't spend through that whole 500k increase, he also had an upfront bonus of like 250k this year, so you'd only be eating the Pro rated amount for 1/3 of the year. That said, I want no part of kelly. 3dn lists it at 600k for this year, I believe next year was the same deal but it was never officially announced.

as in his average production per game, about 319 passing yards and 1-2 td, like i referred to. Which makes it hard to expect improvement by swapping him for kelly. we aren’t desperate though. just another season, hosting the gc and our window closing is just another year. /sad

boy we are getting less healthy as we go. Wonder if makonzo is close. be nice to have him on the back end of the roster as a guy who can actually contribute on 5-10 defensive snaps a game. that’d be soo hilarious and fitting if we did that in game. Id like to see oyelola get a look on the back end of the roster. we could use bailey more, but oyelolas dynamic athleticism and what 2-3 years of nfl coaching. could be interesting on teams to see if he’s turned a corner.

I don't need to, do you know how to evaluate film, understand front/techs, and run fits? Because it sounds like you watch without understanding how to watch and what's actually happening. Kyrie has had 1 good run-stopping game this year and 11 run stops all year. The D is funneled to Jones, and Kyrie only gets to run gaps if they happen right in front of him and he doesn't get picked up.

Idk, toronto is playing edmonton this week. I would certainly expect Arbuckle to maintain his average-ish performance. I belive the trade dead line is begining of october as well. Which leaves edmonton, montral and BC for games for them.

What do you do if you're the argos? Arbuckle has thrown 6 straight 300+ yard games, and 7 of his last 8. Since week 2 he's had more Tds than Ints. He's averaging 319 yards passing per game. He is 31, and he's healthy as can be. He's also not in the 13 highest paid qbs in the league. Does kelly make them any better at this point? They have heavily under achived but I don't place a lot of that at arbuckles feet. Kelly is also 31, an off the field nightmare, the 2nd highest paid qb at 615k, coming off a major injury and his best year isn't as good as arbuckle this year. Personally, while I'd hate to tie my self to arbuckle as the qb1 prior to this year, I'd trade kelly. Some one will likely be desparate enough to take the bait on him and give up assets. You can still resign arbuckle to a team friendly deal and add an all star player with the salary difference.

Imo, he should go in as a lion. If he was 2 different guys, the lions player and the bomber player, the bomber player doesn't get half the personal accomplishments and doesn't go into the HOF. The lions guy on his own, does go into the hof and wins every thing he got still.

nah canadian college qb is not getting the call up after one season here, unless he throws for numbers that would make doug flutie blush. I think we all remember that time late in milts career when he was plastered over the middle and out old twitching on the field. then came two and jumped up but was clearly confused and wobbly. He played in a far worse era for player safety. He isn’t the guy to say some thing for clicks or throw out calls for retirement lightly. I understand what mos is trying to say, but I think all the needed info IS available. you have a qb who turns 39 in a couple weeks, who has been knocked out of games 3 times this year due to high hits, who hasn’t been 100% in about 2.5-3 years, and who has more concussion history than the entire rest of the west division. Not an exaggeration either. In grappling they say “every thing below the eyes is the neck”, in football especially for qbs/concussions every thing from the shoulders up is the head. if you get whacked in the neck, it jostles your brain. smashed with a clean hit in the shoulder pads, rattles the cage. So when you see a qb with concussion history’s head hit 3 times and once bounce off the turf, it’s a concussion issue. After concussions, every injury near the head causes issues. no such thing as close but didn’t cause issues at that point. Post concussion syndrome/ppcs is no joke.

Kyrie is only able to make stops if he’s in blocked and the runner hits his gap. that’s not being a good run stopper. Kyrie has zero ability to disengage from a block, or win a battle. Even against none linemen. There will never be a 4 lber set again, here or else where in the cfl. we don’t even employ a 3 lber look at any point this year. dt just put the biggest jinx on kyrie ever

Yeah. He had a couple of stretches where he was the leagues MODP imo. But they never lasted, and always took time to get to. He's had 1 great and 1 good game this year. Arguably 2 great, but not a 3rd good game even. He's basically late stages lamar mcgriggs now. Great guy, tough as nails, smart, can still flash great games, but can't consistently play at that level any more and is limited in use. We'd be soo much better off running NI Lber, or even going NI at both and all imp on the DL with lawson to rotate. If we could have Jjones and the imp DL plus lawson our D would improve drastically at every thing.
