  1. Off sides Edmonton, entire offensive line. olding? No chance Nice space for lucky. Feel like grant would’ve scored on that
  2. got diakun on the panel no kate nice
  3. I mean it should come as no surprise that with an athlete like ford you gain some in the box. You have to account for him and maintain contain on the edges. Mbt though means you can’t cheat extra guys into the box nearly as freely.
  4. He didn’t look great or good. He looked loaded with potential. The guy really moves and can chuck it. His college tape is impressive. He’s raaaaaaaaw, like really raw. Throwing him in for a 4th would be mainly about giving him some development before the off season. He could run short yardage, but he shouldn’t normally be a qb3.
  5. At this rate I think we will get a gimme at the end of the year to have a glimpse at both what Wilson can do in season and what dole can do here. I fear any qb that needs significant protection in the pocket is not safe here this year. I think people are forgetting how bad our supporting offensive pieces were in both pre season games too.
  6. Stuff like this certainly make it more so. Highly satisfying? SHOOT wrong punch line. A team with this many games on the 6 game ir, isn't right against the SMS. But you should forward that info to the bc lions lol. No one could, including week 1 zach.
  7. The difference is strevy was a battering ram and banged up from his early season start. And playing that package left him far more prone to injuries than a guy previously like brown. Previously, our battering ram QB was qb3, not 2. His athleticism isn't shabby either, he just doesn't seem to function well mentally when scramble mode kicks in. His arm is very strong, but the rest of the tools are pretty meh.
  8. Game 1 he came in and turned around the offence, then we put in barryeh and it all went to pot. Game 2 he struggled. But like brown showed good composure and toughness. No I mean if wilson didn't have it to play this year, they would've brought him in when he was cut right away and put wilson on the pr. Rather than doing it after strev went down.
  9. Yeah, crazy physical tools. His touch on deep balls is really nice too. The fact they brought him back, along with the two guys with game experience I think says a lot. Or I hope so any way.
  10. Rookie QBs are weird. Some times kids are just ready right away. They come with the mentality and soft skills that it takes. Other times, they really need 2 TCs and a year on the bench to develop that stuff. Or even longer. I feel like if wilson didn't have that stuff, they would've brought in dole or another cut vet earlier and sat wilson on the PR.
  11. I do like wilson, imo, grainger has even more potential. But wilson has a good mix of polish and potential. Grainger might need a full tc and then a year to be as ready as he will ever get. Wilson looked a lot like brown but a bit more athletic. Grainger, looks like a human cheat code. The only thing I don't like about grainger is the slight hitch / reach back on his throws. But with some coaching he could end up with a quick delivery.
  12. That isn't surprising, but it isn't even the average that is important. We just need to take away the open gaps where backs walk to big plays. We can Give em 5 a carry. If they don't break big runs, our secondary can do what it does.
  13. Every qb on our AR and PR has thrown a ball in the CFL. Dole has the most experience for sure, but also the least potential. If all the qbs on the roster were reduced to the smallest height and weight of the group, dole would be the only guy never to play in the pros. Best case scenario, we have a full game of shut down ball at the end of the year. Instead of start/finish roster you have the none rest players start the first half then the 2nd half. But not play the 3rd or 4th. Then you have Wilson and dole play quarters 1/3. If the starter is hot, they play more of the 2nd, if not you sub early. Then for the 4th, you hand it to the 3rd qb. If grainger is ready with the system and game I'd go with him. If not, then Scott. Between Dole and wilson who gives us the best chance to win if zach goes down? Depends on wilson really. I would suspect dole would with passing, but if wilson has developed much since the pre season it wouldn't take a lot for him to pass dole as a passer imo.
  14. 3 keys, 1, No ancestral magic. Prevent MBT from going off, if he has a sub par game the elk have little chance of winning. 2, Limit the big runs. We got gouged bad last game, gotta atleast limit the amount of 10 yard plus runs. 3, protect zach. Give him time, keep him healthy. Players to watch, Adams, coming back in again off the PR. Hope hes hungry and gets good reps. Haba/garbutt. Once again, these guys are running low on time to produce. Ayers/cole. Ayers really took over the cole role as a team spark plug and rotational piece. It'll be great if they can play off each other. Wheatfall, looked like he was refinding that early chemistry with zach. I could see him having a high catch game this year. Clercius, catches every thing, only a matter of time till he has a break out game.
  15. eeessh that bobblehead is really cringe. I wouldn't be holding my breath, that'd be more likely to draw a penalty.
  16. Both mac and wil are pretty interchangeable in the CFL these days, though for us, we sub the wil for a dime around half the time. Imo it's almost like an extra DI with rotational D use. Needs to be some one versatile on the d, and who plays really well on teams. I think the clear exception for a mac/wil especially for us, is if they are a ratio breaker.
  17. Qft. Wilson needs reps at some point if we have a blow out or rest game.
  18. Yeah I never know what to expect with kyrie. He can’t stay healthy and takes a bit to get back into form. Don’t mind bringing him back on a team deal he probably sits on 6game once or twice. Biggie could be a player coach if they are willing to limit his on field role. Yeah let friggin Castillo punt and find rotational/teams global. Don’t need teams guys with valuable picks any more. Think we can pick a mix of bpa and lines. I think a guy like Wallace could be groomed as a rt, or even another guy at that level in the draft.
  19. Yup. Could really use a tackle box defender with size like Thomas or one of the cuts. But a lot of the heavy lifting for next years camp will be retention. I’d really like to see the ends get looks and sit haba. Thomas/kyrie/biggie subtraction should hopefully be academic.
  20. Eh we’d be ok. Griffin would go to that spot, then Cole would fill the coverage wil role. He was doing it early in the season. After that Kelly goes in and we slide guys around, or Ayer’s goes in and we slide Cole, who played Sam and S in camp and pre season. After than nick goes in at S. all in all that’s probably the most db depth in the league. ol injury is the concern, unless it’s at C. Same id like to see him get some snaps at wr too I think he can be an impact guy. bond, Nichols, griffin, ford is the best db group in a long time. And that’s saying some thing. I wonder if griffin will be the heir apparent for ba eventually. We’ve got soo much versatility in the back field and depth it’s nutty.
  21. Qft Yep, now inb4 they don’t play Adam’s 1 snap lol
  22. I get that but how outstanding can you be if your team is dead last? At some point you pad stats on a bad team. Especially in terms of yards on O and tackles on D. Didn’t put mbt into consideration in 2021 when he lead the league.
  23. He should and likely will. We will likely go with a vet as our candidate. I’d bet on wj or Nichols.
  24. Yep. I really really want to see him make the switch to centre. Imagine him helping guards and getting down field smashing lbers.
  25. Yuuup. Looked damn good. His motor, hands, and aggression are excellent and his lack of athleticism is covered for by not facing 300lbers. You jinxed it! Haha Rcmp escort to get him from his priority first class flight to the stadium.
