  1. These guys are playing make believe. They don't have the money or any real asset. All they have done is hold their hands out hoping for money to come into one, and a football franchise into the other. If they aren't able/willing to pay the start up costs, they won't be willing/able to maintain the franchise through its first fist full of years. Having a 10th team and one on the east coast is worth less than the global draft. He's right. Except, I dont think that will ever change.
  2. Darvin adams was the guy who set the tone for wrs on this team for a long time. He is a large part of why we had soo many great blocking wrs the past two years especially. This year it's taken a noticeable step back. Ellingson is kind of soft on blocks, and schoen is still very new. But being such a great vocal leader I expect Bailey will be the guy who takes that over and elevates the other wrs blocking as the year wares on. It takes time for guys to buy in, especially a successful vet like ellingson. But it'll happen. Even last year we would frequently take woli and adams off in heavy sets but bailey was on at every chance to block. I'm sure buck and collaros will be looking to get bailey more involved in the offense as things progress. Duke has taken over as the new no1, and teams have been sleeping hard on schoen. As teams adjust to them, bailey will see more action.
  3. yep. before the returner catches it the lines can't move.
  4. I think my year to date would be a solid week lol.
  5. Lol right? I keep getting these horrid articles by these outlier wanna be 3dn pages that don't seem to have even a basic understanding of how Canadian football works. Maybe its a good sign that media for the cfl is growing, people are rejecting TSN and the tripe on cfl.ca. Hes due for a big game. Hasn't seen a lot of balls but hasn't struggled like early last year either.
  6. FB is a cesspool. Couldn't ask for more from a return man really. He's makes the smart play, catches the ball when ever possible, runs north south as much as possible, and he runs hard. Get that man some more offensive touches. Teams are soo focused on grant now the fade away fake return or reverse could be deadly right now.
  7. Seeing his impressive physicality on those teams plays I'd waggle him tight to the line and leave the sam wondering if he was going to break off a route, or smash him into the dirt with a block on a run play. I'm torn on it personally. Doesnt' look like you'd get much of a chance to score or get a big return. Also as a fan in the stands it's over soo quick it'd be kinda dull after the time it takes to line up. But it does seem much safer.
  8. I get it. Usually for me the reverse is an exciting trigger. When I see a Wr signed of a milt stature (6'0, 190 range) I expect their skill set to be great. At most positions when I see a big athletic guy I wonder what the catch is. I just don't think the NFL is enamored with tall wrs. I wonder if when stanback gets healthy if he's on the block. He could be a guy ready for the play off push or he could be gone till next year, all depends on the nature of that break and how he recovers. But I could see the bombers being interested in acquiring him at the deadline. Send one of the two NI backs to montreal so they can lock in rb as a long term NI spot with Jeshrun.
  9. An MD, and he's an nfl vet of 8 years with 50 starts. He put his NFL career on hold to do his residency. This is just a PR move, that's why no actual value changed hands. He isn't going to play and do that. If he wanted to go back to football he could get on half the teams in the NFL right now if not more.
  10. 100%. That toughness, selflessness, football iq, and drive is classic mafia stuff. I'd bet the house that's why he's still here instead of one of the other younger very talented young wrs from camp.
  11. A good chunk of guys float around a long while on having great tools. But those guys seldom get shots. Especially at the "skill" positions. Mbt did very little in HS or college but kicked around half the NFL based on practice performances and great raw tools. Once coaches turn over, or a year or two goes by and you see a bunch more of those high tools guys the old ones fall away. The nfl never really went crazy with the giant wrs. So despite their general bigger is better thing wrs don't seem to gain a lot of value for being above 6'3. Too many busts on guys like matt jones. Even in the XFL he didn't get much of a chance. He's a career PR guy with impeccable tools but who hasn't really gotten a chance. This is the best chance and probably his last chance if he doesn't show well.
  12. That’s… something. He’s never playing in the cfl. with cui maybe it was on purpose I doubt it. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. This happens every so often in sports.
  13. I expect to see atleast one 50/50 ball to agudosi.
  14. I think that entirely depends on how gmc progresses. He’s really dangerous and if he keeps getting better when demski is healthy I could possibly see a change.
  15. Parker could be a real gem too. Going to be interesting.
  16. Don’t believe he had any eligibility left. We cut him and sent him to school the previous year. Pretty sure he’s out of football rn. looking at prs around the league Keaton bruggeling the rbs second round pick is on the pr. Which would be greasy. But I’d be ok with no love for the rbs. petermann is listed on the ar for the lions. Otherwise the pr ni wrs are real slim Pickens.
  17. Yes. One less on offense and start 7. We’ve been starting 8. Wouldn’t mind bringing back borsa. Petey would be great too. 2 backs or more heavy set with 6 ol.
  18. We don’t need that spot to be ni. Could be agudosi or Harrison who is a big deep threat. More likely means mccrae is on the field for almost every snap. streveler and plop isn’t a good fit. I really hope that doesn’t happen and I feel like the piss poor useage will be a factor. Honestly with what they had behind Masoli and with arbuckle in I think they will be happy and hope Masoli is healthy for the play offs. If they brought in streveler that’s the end of Masoli imo. And I think Masoli is the guy they want. Plop and the bombers were heavily tied to him every pending fa for years. at this point I think edm is where the reps and money will be. I could see the ownership maybe going hard after strevy in Montreal with them moving Harris and vaj. And I think Hamilton is a real dark horse for strevy. Masoli gave them an appreciation for two good qbs and where Masoli always over took evans is being able to beat the rush. here the only limit I see is if it would prevent us from getting some one like desjarlais or kongbo back. He was out of the game quick fast and in a hurry. He was also splitting reps with mccrae. So he may have played 5 rep probably less. It took what 3 plus quarters for Bailey to get a look? Bailey and woli in general have gotten very few looks this year too but it’s not that they’ve struggled when they’ve gotten them.
  19. This game doesn’t like me. Bring back the automatic back up qb tds! augustine. No tds since 19 I think he’s due.
  20. Why he never got a real shot at being an every down back is beyond me. The guy was a terror at the second level.
  21. In todays game I’d say mbt. All the physical tools you could want in a drop back passer. No ability to turn that into succes. Collaros is the closest thing to prime Brett Favre I’ve seen. Crazy ability to keep a play alive and not just make all the throws but make strange releases and angles work. I don’t think collaros has ever met a 50/50 match up he didn’t like. As a bomber he is fully worthy of compare to flutie imo.
  22. Field wide is a premium spot it’d be strange that he couldn’t make a go of it. While demski is out Bailey could go to his slot and boo could go to field wide.
  23. Not as long as I’d like but atleast it’s more than 2 games.
  24. Sure would like to have him here now with demski and boo banged up. Especially with the way we recruited wr this year. Only a couple guys I’d want to really offer big money to and then only if it’s a multi year deal.
