  1. Yeah that cut down is the biggest cut day mess ive seen in a long time. I cant imagine judge would be the odd man out. I wonder if the the argos are just going wild on the phones trying to cut a deal to get some value from vets they are about to cut right now. Gonna be interesting thats for sure.
  2. The argos are busy today. I feel like its never a good sign when the team that "won" free agency is scooping other teams cuts on cut down day before making their own.
  3. I heard he was having a good camp kinda surprised. I wouldn't mind him on our pr but I think we are locked in with crapinga
  4. We def need to keep the 21 dbs though 😄
  5. It would help if we did more off tackle stuff. I'd love to see a spray chart on his runs. Brady is pretty ideal to eat up some of the inside reps. Quickness to cut back or shake and bake and the 230 lbs of bowling ball to run through any arms and a bunch of bodies. I hope he pans out and stays healthy. I think you just figured out how it really got hurt in the first place!
  6. Funny thing is medlock fell out of the NFL and ended up here because he got em down south. I wish they would've had him as a guest coach to work with him in camp. Oh man he looks like streveler rubbed off on him lol. Probably by next year at latest I imagine.
  7. Grant also subbed in at wr some after lucky got benched and looked like he could end up being a good x factor guy
  8. Qft. Also grant will roster as a wr and di. Was hoping orange would turn out to be solid but haven't heard a peep about him in camp. And all I've heard about borsa is he's gotten plenty of reps. If Harris is out and we do 2 wr for kr duty borsa would be nice to carry as a 3rd rb. I assume we will di a db a lber like antigha.
  9. That's a good point too. A year like this is going to be hard on wr and db injuries as well.
  10. Yeah I think at this point we will see Harris out for game one. And when he returns to see a reduced work load till late in the season when we will need him most. Heavy dose of multi back and Harris even at sb. If Harris is out I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 ni and 1 di rb.
  11. That's what I was thinking. Always tough to make that call but a guy like that should've benefited the most from a year off. Similarly I'm happy it seems Zach has seemed healthy. That whole offense looks awful. Be interesting to see what Flanders does its kinda crazy he's hardly seen any action since 17. I think he's been in camp with 5 cfl teams and has less than 100 carries. Idk if that happens or not but I wouldn't be surprised to see him coaching.
  12. In an article on 3dn its reported Nichols is taking starters reps but that's he's still fighting that shoulder injury and not 100 percent. I think ott is going to have a very rough go of it this year. They also seem to be all in on having Flanders as their starting rb.
  13. The reports have been a bit sparse out of camp with out having posters able to attend and report but it seems like the competition at wr is as deep and closely fought as it has been in ages. By my count I see atleast 10 guys that they want to keep around. And it's likely more like 12.
  14. We have 1 more db in camp than wrs. Most teams have a similar number of wrs and dbs right now. If any thing we have a disproportionately high number of rbs. I don't think we've cut any rbs but we've cut every other position short of kicker. If we were worried about wr we would've picked up one of the proven vets in free agency. The fact we haven't been linked at all sinks the theory we aren't happy with our wrs. If the mafia are worried about any thing it's rb and kicker. Harris has driven the teams yards gained and medlock set the record for fgs made not long ago plus his punting has been a big boost to field position with our offense leading in 2 and outs for a few years.
  15. In baumings piece on bonfire sports he said deatrick Nichols the former xfl db had been our best db in camp so far and had played him self into a starting spot. He was a sneaky good pick up. He's quick and a yac guy. We are gonna see some tough cuts or a lot of guys hidden on the ir
  16. It's normal around the league this year. Since you know 2 years of rookie recruiting.
  17. Every team is looking for upgrades to every position at all times. Look at dt. For years we've had stellar play on the interior of the dl but we've also repeatedly replaced high end and star players with new guys and rookies. Most people expect our wr core to perform at a higher level due to addition by subtraction and maturity. The change from Nichols and plop means far more opportunities for wrs to catch the ball in a position to do damage and further down field. We have not been a catch and run team other than Harris out of the back field for years. And by maturity because wrs are almost never elite in year one and we had some stellar early career production.
  18. Lol its wiki season-ending knee injury suffered in a July 12 https://www.bluebombers.com/players/charles-nelson/163560/
  19. I feel like he hasn't been the same since he got hurt in what 17? He got a good chunk of yards last year but I feel like he was just a possession guy. Not a threat to break one or beat his man over the top.
  20. Oh man the flood of greenies proclaiming that szarka was better then that both there rbs were better than blink was endless. A few decent vet wrs available in fa right now but pretty much all of them are high basement low ceiling guys. I think most of them at best would be replacement level for the guys we have. If Darvin and Meredith are gonna miss a few regular season games we might look at picking up some one but even then I don't think the person we'd pick up would be a starter. Every team in the league should be in the market for an elite wr. Especially any team that doesn't have an elite wr. But short of that I don't see us as a buyer in the wr market. We are very deep. And the heavy change to our passing game this year could see Darvin return to being elite or close to it and Lawler as well.
  21. Or because you never know how a guy will bounce back from a 2nd catastrophic knee injury...🙄
  22. I think they may continue to carry 2 return men we did most of last year till lucky was benched. Especially while we are down bodies Nelson is more polished at wr and is very dangerous too. Nelson was out pretty early last year before Grant came in. Grant was the most dangerous return man we've had in a while but Nelson is far more well rounded. Having both is a pretty great luxury. Nelson is just 25 and was one of the most versatile and dangerous players in the ncaa with the ducks. Running the ball wr returner starting at corner back he can cover kicks even. The big question will be how Nelson has bounced back from his injury.
  23. I hope we see a good creative use of grant too. That guy is crazy dangerous with the ball in his hands.
  24. I feel like this is a move to bolster ni teams depth and an ni who could in a pinch back up at s. He's kind of an undersized wil dime tweener.
