  1. Wouldnt be surprised to see a flurry of moves now by each team to round out its TC roster. That explosive quick twitch guy whose speed doesnt translate as much to the 40 time. Gonna be lots of dangerous hungry young wrs looking to make a name for them self in camp this year.
  2. Yeesssssssss
  3. Ed philion and his late hits on khari jones. I cant say enough bad things. His blind side crazy late cheap shots to khari directly led to his career falling off early. Guys that tore us up and I had a love hate relationship with, AC, ricky ray, and flutie for being a GC machine. Davis sanchez, john bowman, kenton keith, andre rison, robert baker, after they left blue n gold i grew to hate brian clark and arland bruce.
  4. DIBS ON 2! Its great news though, and I kind of expect it to be a slam dunk.
  5. It can, but then when he was off it you wouldve seen a drop off. Also there is no way any one would take that stuff in a micro dose and have such an expectation that the placebo effect kicked in. .3 seconds on google would dispel that. If he had been found with any kind of semi modern juice in his system, I could have seen it. Or even more if he had been caught with a blocker which far more people get busted for. IF he was a high school or college kid with no money I could see that too. But for a professional athlete with his considerable resources and finances I can not see taking that on purpose. Ive known plenty of guys who juiced on cheap and expensive salaries. No one making 50-100k is using that as their PED. I honestly expect them to be the fall down team of the year. The biggest step back of all the play off teams. My bias is strong no doubt. But I liked fajardo before he was a rider. After what we saw in 2019 he needs a huge step forward to match his production.
  6. Harris wasnt barred for life pretty big difference. And how many different front offices where home to each of those skeletons? Maybe not, But we will know that the micro dose of what he had wouldnt have any marked increase in performance.
  7. Fantastic news for us. Going to be alot of pressure form the front again this year.
  8. What an embarrassment of a league.
  9. If they are doing that it would make perfect sense. But the process thus far has not made much sense. Hope fully we will see news shortly. But yeah I feel like they have to be targeting the XFL with that start day. The fact that the XFL 3.0 should have a considerable head start tells me the USFL is either bluffing hard or is going to make serious waves this summer. He does look pretty rough. Might be covid lock down though, Im sure not my best right now lol.
  10. On top of this nothing burger doug flutie just announced the return of the usfl as a new spring football league in the us. Even further diluting the us spring football market. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the xfl 3.0 leadership when they found this out. They have a partnership agreement with fox who owns a stake in the owners of the league. Fox as we all know carried the TV rights to the xfl 2.0. https://3downnation.com/2021/06/03/doug-flutie-announces-united-states-football-league-returning-in-spring-2022/
  11. 0: is that available on any streaming service or do they have an app?
  12. I like the helmet.
  13. Its the best of the options they were looking at last I heard. Edmonton oilers LLOOOOOOOOOOOL!
  14. I feel like this has been in the lurch for a long time now. I also feel like its going to be panned no matter what. But if its the Edmonton football club with an EE logo it will be panned harder than any other out come.
  15. We had more of a tentative plan last year. Waiting for the last minute to have specifics all ironed out as much as possible is flirting with disaster.
  16. the 4500 fans in the stands at some point is their usual goal isnt it? 😉 I wish the league would come out with some thing solid. having soo much un certainty surround the league is really bad for every one.
  17. Yeah, I always loved ritchie too. But he was an old school boys club soft on his players coach. Ironic though that a coach soo famous for using "locker board material" motivation to give all of it to the stamps.
  18. it felt like every team was doing that against us back then. 1993, and 2007 grey cups. Both years the qb that took us there on the side lines. If both are healthy in those games, we win both and the streak of no grey cups never exists. Dunigan leaving to the US to have his best season in 95 was pretty crushing too. 2001 gc sucked, but the way the team prepared and acted the week of its what most earned. Still sad for milt blink khari etc they shouldve won 1.
  19. Last year they had it all figured out to operate just out of winnipeg, im not worried about the logistics in that way soo much. QFT. A LD kick off to the season would be interesting. Do we play the riders or the cats? If we started the week before itd be the most intense first month of games ever. GC re match, LD, banjo bowl, and hope fully a buy week lol.
  20. Being the asst GM to joe mack is about as much decision making power as a secretary at goldman sachs. Ekakitie was for sure the worst pick of the mafia era though. But to be fair, the first 3 rounds may have produced 3 starters and like a single all star nomination. But atleast ekakitie and etienne had the physical tools to excel in the cfl game, and had decent heads on their shoulders. Pencer is maybe the worst pick in club history.
  21. Where did you get that? I clearly said that Leadership is the issue, and the leadership has to be passionate and progressive. A marketer who doesnt care about your product cant help you more than you can help your self. The xfl/redbird only cares for how much the cfl can do for them. They have a massive pile of their own problems to deal with in respect to the XFL. Expecting redbird/the rock to fix the CFLs issues are like expecting some one to put out your kitchen fire, while their house is burning to the ground. Like I said, the CFLs future and repairs could involve the XFL in some fashion. As ive mentioned before in multiple threads, keeping both games unique and independent. But it isnt the path to saving the CFL at all. It could be a brick on the path, or it could not be. The path to fixing the CFL starts and ends in the cfl league office / bog. American tv revenue now is a worse idea than american expansion in the 90s. They have to try and sell their product, and develop it, to their own market. They arent in any better position to sell our product to our country than we are. We have seen great marketing minds fail to build and strengthen markets in football. The aafl, afl, nfle, xfl 1 and 2 had no lack of great marketing people.
  22. Thats awesome, hes probably played more football than any bomber during the stoppage.
  23. Im gonna sell my car so i have a bunch of money to spend on rims for my car. Partnership at some level could be useful of course. However its pretty simple to put together a dvd with the games and some background info on a season. Almost any college has a class of kids that does this many times a year. It doesnt take a bunch of MIT grads to see this is a good idea and profitable, especially when several other leagues already do it. The fact that our brain trust cant see even these simple streams of revenue and capitalize wont be fixed by any partnership that doesnt destroy what we have. The league needs fresh blood with new creative ideas and ways to market to a younger audience. The rock, redbird, and the XFL can only offer money. Money, is a symptom of the bigger problem in the cfl. All the money in the world wont change that problem. Our league leadership has been complacent for a long time. Hockey has taped into the national resources very well for my entire life. (the us is another thing, but hockey has always been well monetized here.) But in my life time ive seen hockey day in canada, and the WJHC explode. The WJHC went from a pretty small thing when I was a kid, to a march madness level event that taps into parts of the national market that dont follow the NHL. That happened because people who are passionate about hockey in canada were allowed to take leadership/ownership of events and grow them organically. People who arent passionate about Canadian football cant save Canadian football.
  24. I would do awful things for a DVD release of the season like they do for superbowl champions.
