I got the exuded confidence from the bomber brass, from dobson more than the basic platitudes that we saw from the likes of the mulumba picks. As I said I dont think any thing crazy is going on, and I dont think hes going to forego the NFL. It just seems different from the usual futures pick, especially the vybe from bomber brass.

Imo just the guys we will have in camp from the last two years of drafting is a grade A batch. We have a bunch of very athletic canadian mafia guys coming in to scrap for spots. If we get one futures guy its gonna be a big win fall. And honestly Dobson and the mafia sound very confident that he will end up in blue and gold. Usually they talk about guys very tentatively. Stuff like, the can do this and they can bring that. They have opportunities down south but we think they'd fit in really well if that doesnt pan out etc. Both groups have been saying when he gets here, he is gonna be a road grader etc etc. And instead of talking about potential to make and impact they talk about him like hes a vet and you know what to expect. I dont think any shenanigan's are a foot, I suspect hes the surest thing, highest graded guy theyve picked thus far.

He was an awesome person, and easily the best of the 3 wrs. Its too bad injuries derailed his career.
-
But hey he could really run. He lacked the hair of addison richards though. That hair wouldve maid up for the missing 70lbs.
-
The futures picks like mulumba werent what sunk mack, its that the none futures guys were awful picks. We have a lotto ticket on a ni ol who is a generational athlete and would want to be here mulumba never wanted to be here imo. We have a better shot at the db Rene who is also a big ratio breaking blue chipper, and a bunch of useful pieces. Also with the stocked offensive line depth we have we can afford the risk.
-
Doesnt matter when you move like he does. See larry allen running down a db on what shouldve been a pick 6. But if he does drop a bit say good night. 320-325 range would probably make a big difference for him.

Idk the last time we saw an OL prospect in the draft with his size and athleticism, little on his pedigree. Its a risk, but this is the type of guy who could start day 1 as a guard imo. Worst case scenario, both our long shot picks never come north and we dont move their rights, but we still end up with a boost to our back up lb/dbs and immediate special teams play as well as an extremely versatile athletic back who can back up and contribute at the same time. If either (little on both) of rene and dobson come north its an A+ draft imo. Unless this year is a disaster for him in college he will be in the nfl in 22. Even then, if hes healthy at next years combine he is the type of guy who can move up very far very fast.
-
all of them lol. I think kramdi is that guy this year. Not saying he will replicate his success as a year 1 guy, but they are cut from the same cloth. His physicality reminds me of loffler, but he looks like a much better tackler and blitzer. And a turn key teams guy like exume was. I would bet if healthy hes on our gameday roster this year.

I love this get, a demski 2.0. Elite NI athlete. Can be a wr/hb tweener allowing us to dress a back up to harris and still get good use out of them. 4.38-4,40 speed 6.95 cone 4.19 shuttle, 10'3" broad jump, 35" vert, 22 reps of 225 at 6'0 200lbs. Rb, return man, wr, if he was a holder / back up P/K he'd be the perfect ni depth man. Always nice to get a local guy, and we are going after NI dbs hard in this draft.
-
And another canadian mafia type. Smart, tough, hard nosed guy who can contribute on teams.
-
This is another deep futures pick. Probably a late round NFL pick next year if healthy and he returns to form. If he is healthy and improves he could move up. Another low risk high reward. If he ever comes to the CFL hes probably the steal of the draft. Kramdi looks like an attempt to replace exume and re stock on db/sts depth. Adding another body at WR would be nice.

Imagine him in 2022, maybe he drops 25 pounds and goes through the tour of nfl combine preparation camps...
-
As far as futures picks go, hes a future futures pick. And allegedly he can dunk a basketball. I wanna see that. Reminds me alot of larry allen. Dude flies when hes pulling, crazy speed for an ol of any weight. And that strength is insane too. Watching him 1 hand a lineman then punch move pancake a rushing backer is nuts. Edit. Allegedly a 30" inch vert, 4.84 shuttle, 8 sec 3 cone and 8'10" range broad jump. Probably does all the reps of 225 too. Pretty crazy athleticism. https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2020/05/liam-dobson/

Ya me too. I was hoping for defense out of this draft or a futures wr, the bet was kind of a hedge on that. Liam dobson from maine.
-
Ive been wondering about that. IDk how tight we are. Since our prized off season pick up retired we didnt re spend that money. But we might be hoarding that cash as we like to do for mid season pick ups. I think any starter would be a reach and a cheaper guy to sign. Not surprised, we will see how he looks covering imp wrs.
-
Jake burt, the TE goes first over all to hammertown. Im a bit shocked but damned if he isnt a great fit for how often they run heavy formation.
-
Just signed up too. I think we are going defense or maybe even wr. I don't see us going ol with a high pick. Worth it to risk it for the biscuit. Hladik to ssk is the same odds and tempting but i don't think they'd take him over the local boy.
-
Walters says our 6th round pick lber kyle rodger, and 8th rounder db Bleska Kambamba have moved on from football and arent expected to be signed.
-
Thats true, forde is pretty good.
-
This. I only made it a couple minutes. Why couldnt we have a pre draft show with bob, brown, tait etc.
-
The 3 cone speed is elite for a wr, thats top 5 range at the nfl combine. He probably needs significant refinement on route running. With a new OC and WR coach every year in college he probably didnt get even the minimum of what he requires to reach his potential. All the talk around eagles and cardinals TCs was he worked hard improved a lot and continually showed flashes. I worry about raw WRs hands holding up, the few clips he body catches any thing he doesnt have to lay out for, but hes about the best you could hope for in a wr project,

https://www.azcardinals.com/news/the-mystery-of-carlton-agudosi-19005136 Hes an interesting pick up. 6'6 220, 41" vert 10'4 broad jump 6.75 3 cone and a 4.6 40. Very low production and usage. Was a high level basketball recruit over to football and it seems with massive turn over at rutger they never really got around to polishing him into a player. Very little for clips obviously but the little I saw he looks like he has really good top end speed. Its hard to imagine a guy like that not being able to be productive in the CFL at SB. But every couple of years we have a huge freak come in at WR for camp and seldom have they turned into any thing. Low risk very high reward pick up. Even could be a valuable guy to keep around on the PR for a year to develop. As much as this regime loves tough, hard nosed high football IQ guys, we also love the athletic monsters just as much.
-
it only makes sense that he returns at this point. He was really starting to blossom as a pass rusher here late in the last season. Hes still very young, 25 ish, and doesnt seem likely to get another NFL deal. The only issue I can see with him returning here is jeffcoat and WJ eat up a lot of reps. But they seemed to really make it work in the stretch with using 3 de's and moving them around a lot. He would certainly get more reps with some other teams but maybe not be in as good a position. The nfl will want to see a high level of sacks per snap he plays, and rotating which he would in the nfl any way, gives him the best chance to do that.
-
hes been with out a contract since august down south. And the NFL draft is tomorrow bringing in a huge batch of new athletic tweeners. Some one else was talking about it a while ago too. Id bet that he will be back in the cfl in 2021.

Kinda meh on that mock draft. I dont think the riders pass on lokombo, and I dont think we use a 3rd and 4th rounder on ni ol unless they can return to college for another year. Even then I think we lean more towards restocking NI wr, lb/db teams guys. I like the nick cross projection I think thats our type of guy. I think we grab ben hladik if the riders grab lokombo ahead of us. Having a canadian who can rotate with kongbo should he be back would be huge.
