  1. I think they didnt execute or plan well.
  2. It really isnt. Im the biggest defender of wrs in what most people regard as drops on here, and a long time adams defender. But he has always been a guy to drop passes and dropped some really bad ones the last two games. He had 2 great deep balls that made up the huge majority of his production the last two games. Those were pretty easy catch and runs. He hasnt been a top wr in terms of performance. His production has been high finally though. At his best he is a damn good no2. Its when he isnt at his best thats a problem. And despite the inflated production, he hasnt been at his best by any means the last two games. That deep ball that went off the tips of his fingers for instance, isnt on him. Thats a catch you would expect milt to make, and that we saw Banks make this week. Making those kinds of catches makes you an elite wr. Scoring on the long bomb is elite wr stuff. Dropping 4 passes in 2 games 3 of which for first downs on second down in tight games is worthy of criticism. If lawler is in adams position on those 4 passes, he wouldnt do any worse then adams. Of the 14 passes adams saw, all of our starters would have done as well or better.
  3. It isnt because bowman wasnt an efficient wr at all. He was the least reliable wr of the generation. That makes it worse not better. Reilly is excellent at throwing the ball. High production with low efficiency isnt a good thing. 40 td season, with 60 picks isnt a good year. 6/14 is horrible. He had some awful drops that couldve really cost us vs 2 big plays. Take away those big plays and he plays him self off the roster.
  4. The real problem with that situation imo, is banking on collaros for a season and risking a first round pick on that gamble. Otts early success came from heavily stacking qb and wr. If this year has taught us any thing its you need a no2 qb that can win games. Streveler is a complementary qb at this point. A great guy who can ad a great dimension to the current offense. But isnt the guy to win games with his arm going into next season. And I would not bet money, pick, and the teams year on his ability to stay healthy for most of the season and play at an all star level. If you bring back those 2, I think you have to expect to part ways with mcguire/PR him and bring in another veteran qb that can throw it. I would rather put starter money and a pick on some one like arbuckle, mbt etc and then bring back streveller and mcguire.
  5. Not just the arm surgery, he never looked nearly as good after the knee injury. Imo no other team in the league will offer nichols a starting job or money going into camp. I wouldnt bet on masoli. I dont see him succeeding with out that system and those wrs. Ill bet any thing lapo is not back win or lose in the gc.
  6. The key to beating the cats is gonna be not trying to beat the 6man front with numbers. If we just send the listless blitzes its gonna be a long night. Like wise the 30 front with WJ on the nose hasnt been successful. If any thing our 30 should have drake or richardson on the nose, WJ on an edge with kongbo for the ratio. A lot of 4 man pressure, and some DB blitzes off the edge especially delay blitz mixed with showing and dropping will yield success for us. Rolling cover, disguising zone well and dropping the ends into cover now and then will help too. Evans is a good qb but still makes some very questionable decisions in throwing into coverage, and to the wide side out. The cats offense is very beatable for our D, if the gameplan is good and tackling is better.
  7. Mcguire is a great specimen by qb standards. And his athletic prowess considering his arm talent is a deadly combo. Streveler is just a damned animal. Yeah you can tell a lot about strength and accuracy in a small body of work, but touch, decision making, timing and ability to read/ disguise etc all take time to judge.
  8. Next year is forever away. We have no certainty at qb or coaching but that doesnt matter on this side of a grey cup. He will forsure get a chance to win a spot on the roster next tc. Thats all he can ask. ZC comments in the pre season had things looking as dark as it gets. Getting knocked out on the first series of the season after soo many injuries he seemed soo done. Mentally and physically. The renaissance he has under gone is insane. Ive never been more happy to be more wrong about any thing. Zachs great deep ball has kept us in the play offs. I feel like he can still do better then weve seen in this offense, but he gives us the best chance to win at qb that weve seen in a very long time.
  9. before the trip down hill near the end, that site was great. Its the people posting that really make the forum. Many of the same posters here. The old forum had issues, as all do. But as a microcosm of friendly manitoba and the bomber faithful. The infrastructure and look is worlds better now though.
  10. That isnt a good percentage though. Bowmans years in edmonton averaged 70%....
  11. Strevler up the middle, or harris up the middle. The B gap is as close to the tackle as any run play harris sees. We fake the power sweep and such but thats it. If we ran sweep, stretch, off tackle stuff or even counter trap harris would have busted some huge gains last night. Idk if streveler or plop is the problem with the option package. Streveler sure doesnt read or execute the option well. But I doubt hes being coached on it well enough. I dont think plop has much of any experience in a strong run option offense. If we could get just one option play working well itd be a huge difference maker. Inside zone read would be great, midline option, or even just a plain old shovel pass would be deadly.
  12. Not really, adams has always been a guy who runs hot n cold. Had 2 drops last night plus one off his finger tips. You can go back through all of his time here and see talk of if he can be a no1 wr or if he is a real one with the disappearances and dropsies. Hes not all the way into adarius bowman territory but he isnt far off.
  13. Na na na na na na na na way heeey heeeeey go $#@& your self rider fans
  14. 1 rose monster game 2 rest of the secondary. Physical tight cover game. 3 collaros. The best deep throws this plop offense has seen. Hh biggie and maston with the penetration on the goal line stop
  15. Blind side block on liked line exume
  16. Bend but don't break kinda night
