Because he was throwing far less passes a game. Its the same way rider fans used to argue that kenton keith was better then charles roberts with a YPC of 7 vs blinks 5+ in 2.5x more touches.

Whats darvin adams QBR again? 150 ish? Its the ratio of first downs to 2 n outs. Especially in the second half of games. Thats always been the issue. People trying to take single stats and un correlated stats (positional wins, some one please tell me dunigans career w/l. Or damon allens, or any one else for that matter) Completing 70% of your passes isnt the same if you are in a system like reilly was in edm, vs a qb here. Qb rating and TD rate are heavily skewed when youre average field position is 15 yards a head of the rest of the league, and when you lead the league in virtually every rushing category. And the importance of not going 2 and out when your defense is designed to bend but not break is extremely high. Nichols is in a bad spot. He was putting up a lot of tds and wins, then started to skuffle and then will have missed more then half a season. Combine that with the fact that the injured starters will be healthy for next camp, and soo many young qbs looking good the market will be very weak for him . The depth of starters in the league going into next year is very good. Masoli, Reilly, BLM, harris, Evans, Arbuckle, Fajardo, Vaj, MBt, Nichols, and to a lesser extent Streveler and Franklin. Im sure we will see some spreading out of the names, with certain guys chasing starting jobs. Nichols will have missed half of this year, 4 games the previous year, and be 2 years removed from his best season. If you are faced with finding a new starter, basically just ottawa right now, do you go after some one like arbuckle, franklin or streveler with tons of up side or a 34 year old nichols? If you go after nichols or even masoli you want them in combination with one of those guys. Nichols doesnt have leverage. If ott goes for masoli, all of a sudden this is the only open starting job on the market. I think we will see one of the argos qbs moved, the cats embrace evans, and I think its likely the stamps thing out too. Streveler may or may not take the job. But the flourishing of new qbs around the league and hungry vets that missed time this year coming back the league will not be short on starting qbs next year.

You would flip the rotation from thomas rotating in to spell the imp DTs to probably richardson rotating. Same on the end. Youd be cutting one of their reps from around 2/3 of plays to 1/3. Not in all explosion cases but yeah. When he tries to use hecht to vice cover a wr, and he cant keep position on deep routes it isnt the cb/dhbs fault. And it isnt even hechts fault. Both are put in a position to fail.

We started one extra NI for an extra DI. So we'd just start the 7. Could be thomas to keep the extra DI. I wouldnt mess with the DL and its rotation though.

The quality of a teams tackling and swarming to the ball carrier is a product of coaching though. All these guys know how to tackle and can do it. You get arm tackles and selling out for hits when you allow players to repeatedly get away with it instead of enforcing good form tackling. Thats not just hall though, thats mos and younger too.

Thats interesting indeed. If they go back to dropping bighill instead of making him eat up a guard we could see improvement in pass D.

Alexander at S is really interesting. On one hand I really id rather have him at another DB spot, but his speed at S is really tantalizing. I would think about moving fenner off cb, hes been beaten especially deep a lot. But im not sure he'd be any better at S. No perfect solution in this situation. Itll be great to have BA back in the line up though. Atleast they are shaking it up and making some changes though.

Those guys have only performed when given the chance. Same as wolitarsky and others.

That corn and apples are worth partying over?

If a home play off game gets much closer to slipping away I wouldnt be surprised if they pick up a vet.

Thats the nature of timing routes and rub routes. Wrs are always open, especially if you can throw them open like evans can. Most teams arent running that look, though I can see it catching on. In ssk for the tie breaker is gonna be tough. I expect the team to get the train back on the rails. Things will get real ugly and fast if they dont. I dont feel like ssk will be able to contain our rush, and fajardos one move to escape the pocket is less and less effective each time you see it.

Not their fault. Can't expect 4 guys to pressure against 6 and 7 blockers.

1 Lawler. 2 jeffcoat. 3 interior DL HH bighill pick finally being dropped back for once

One nfl signing bonus when he went back down and he clears north of 750k. Only 2.5-3x the local average. And as a pro athlete in an extremely violent sport you gotta plan for injuries. QFT -
🤢 Cmon man he is country af. "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" "Blue Ain't Your Color", look at his wiki every other sentence is top 100 country chart. Maybe one of the best country guitarist in the world. Better name quality then weve seen at time, and better then the half time junk weve been subjected to this year. I never watch the half time show at the GC, Id say this is better then usual for star power.
-
Same. Really didnt think hed be back this year. I wonder if they will dig deeper now to get a vet back up. God forbid streveler goes down.
-
Those 3 really close loses burn. We are 3-3 against the east. When was the last time the first seed in the west was .500 against the east.
-
I can hear the cfl media and their power rankings singing the leos praise and booking their birth in the east final already. Beware teams that get hot late in the year.

Jonathan Hefney Arrested For Trafficking

Except he gets paid per year, and only needs full coverage part of the year. Athletes have tons and tons of ability to get back taxed income as well. The biggest trafficker on the west coast of canada never served a day and wrote a book. The "war on drugs" and its political implications in the states is horrific. Out side of places like singapore, the us is one of the last places you want to get charged with trafficking. Easily the last of any first world country imo. -

Even at that point if you are still talking about 15 years worth of average annual income, and far more then some players come from. Hardrick for example, the tax return each year would be income for people in that area. The cash number is what people fixate on, but its all the same. Just like how soo many NFL and NBA players end up broke, and lotto winners etc. What you make isnt nearly as important as how you spend. Not spending money to protect your own investment in health insurance is mad for an NI. -

Sanchez, bolden and plenty of guys well before hefney made that and more. DBs are more replaceable now then ever. If any thing it was better in his era. -

Whats the average income where most of the players come from since most of them dont live in canada? Rockhill SC in 2018 had an average house value of 140,000$ and an average income of 24k. So for where he comes from, the 700k number is 26+ years worth of average income. You dont have to be set for life, but you can be set for the next year. You also have to remember he had 4 NFL contracts and 2 PR stints. He probably made pretty low money his first 2 years here. He may have made 500,000$ in his career, or he may have gotten some decent NFL bonus money when he went back down south and could be over 700k. The point is, if you cant budget and spend responsibly, including health insurance when your body is your meal ticket it doesnt matter how much you earn. Cant write people excuses for failing to budget. But yes, the health care for NI players is broken and needs to be fixed. Didnt the bombers kick in to a go fund me for him? In a hole like that he could have also gotten an expedited citizen ship up here and gotten it for free if he desired.
