We have had no problem finding good Imp DL. Bryant, and richardson inside and lots of ends. I am sure we will see another dog fight for spots on the DL in this years camp with new guys threatening the jobs of vets.

Walker adams walker and the 2 NIs sounds like a great wr core to me. Lots of good competition for the last NI and imp spot, and guys who can DI for wr depth. Bailey, Grant, Nelson, and Lucky battle for a spot as a KR/DI and likely 1 pr 1 IR guy. (grant the front runner for KR) Those are all guys Id love to have stick around, but I wouldnt hesitate for a second to cut any of them for walker. Hed instantly be our best wr.

Walters and co have done a fantastic job keeping the core together. If they can pick the bones of free agency and grab a couple good pieces itll be A++ off season for them.

I could see a huge season from adams with buck as oc if collaros stays healthy. If we dont get wj back is go for walker. Be great to have a stacked we core for once. But i don't expect that at all.

He was before his tenure at Tennessee. He didn't live up to the hype in college but showed alot here in limited action. He was a good prospect not elite by any means in the NFL.

Meant jeffcoat not Jefferson. If we get wj back great. If not I wouldn't jump to spend that money on another de. Up here he is crazy valuable as a him down south he is one of a huge group of young athletic de hybrids. He has the talent and athleticism but they could just as well have wj and 10 similar guys in camp.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL
wbbfan replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Walker for Houston is easily the best qb so far. This game is much better then the first but still pretty meh football -
Gotta keep money for if Kongbo gets cut. If we ended up with Kongbo Jefferson McAllister and ROH as our ends we'd be in great shape. I don't think we need to jump and over pay another end to replace wj if he leaves. We have the guys internally to replace at a huge savings.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL

The refs are brutal holy cow. Completely inept in even the basics of football. Idk how any one can be watching this. The execution and refing makes the AFL 2 look like the best the NFL has to offer. -

The worst tackling I've ever seen in my life. Is horse collar not a penalty in the xfl either? Screens qb roll outs piss poor attempts at read option. The quality of football is worse then o thought it'd be. -

"The none player/coach operations expenses involved in that many teams is whats gonna eat it up." They dont own any stadiums. How much do you think its gonna cost to occupy for TC, practices, and games for every team. They also need to upgrade to nation quality TV set up with cameras etc. They have no infrastructure for play tracking, film study, sleds to hit, equipment rooms, etc. The AAFL was only the most recent pro football attempt in the last 20 years. Many have tried and failed (AFL shut down for 2 years, AF2, Fall experimental, indoor football league, IPFL, UFL, NFLE, AAF, and the original XFL) The contractors and locals are going to jump at the cash from the XFL2, they arent gonna give freebies for another one year wonder. -
I suspect he is wanting a contract with decent guaranteed money. And is probably getting futures contracts with little to none or camp invites.

Agree. But plenty of time is left in the off season. Ideally we'd get Franklin (or some one similar) on a cheap deal, and either bring back knight or find another athletic run threat qb to go into camp with mcguire and collaros.

I very much doubt that is where the money will go. The none player/coach operations expenses involved in that many teams is whats gonna eat it up. But talent re-circulation for fringe players is great. -

Im guessing its hubris. -
I dont see him as that guy at all. Maybe at his best, but not any more. To be a game / system changer at Lber you gotta either be lock down in pass cover, or pass rusher / lanes. Like Bighill in his first year here his deep middle zone under the S and in place of loffler at times was incredible and allowed us to do a lot. Or WJ and his pressure / PKDs. I dont see Elimimian as that guy. 2016 he was all over the field making plays in the back field, back in the middle etc. Since then I think hes been a scrape to the ball and up the middle stuffer. Now I think hes replacement level tbh.
-
Agree. He will be 34 this year, his best year was 2016 and 2017 was his last good year. It isnt hard to find a tackle box MLBer. The chances he regains peak form now is extremely low. If I was them Id go with a young cheap Imp or even try a good sts NIer.

An out right liability. I want to see a db core of gainey, heath, and fogg one some team. ideally the riders.
-
Personally I think its a none issue for balance. Some players will pick money/night life other players will pick the best team I dont think the big cities are at a disadvantage, just stating that it was all one way earlier now being thrown back the other. I think the ability for players in the big cities to earn side income dwarfs the minimal gap easily. No position player any time soon imo. Or even the next Mike reilly deal. Or to be the als having to cut players you want to keep because you simply can not afford them.

Not in the toronto market imo. A championship didnt put a good number of butts in the seats, I dont see willie doing it. A ricky williams esq nfl QB would make some what of an improvement.

a week ago people on here talked about how living in TO/bc was a none factor in the end. Now its cmoooooon cost of living! I cant see WJ choosing to play for a none competitive team with 8 fans. Imo, if he signs in the CFL hes coming on down to winnipeg.

I wonder if this topic will ever die on here, or if 15 years from now some young fan will be new on here and thinking WTF are these old people talking about?
