Like engineering a come back to beat us? Do you remember the garbage time stats with qbs like tee martin and countless others?

Because his reading of a defense even just in terms of reading the end to hand off or keep is not near ready. His arm talent is there, his heart is more then you can expect from any player, Its his ability to manage the clock, read the defense and make decisions that is the issue. Wagering a season on him taking a step he hasnt shown yet, in a new system / under a new oc and qb coach is a big risk. To be fair, a washed up qb just won us the grey cup.

Good picks I think. who will be the next tsn coaching reclamation project i wonder.

I love how the riders fans were soo down on him after the first go round, and are again high on him and this move bringing him back.
-
The problem with that is in no way can you depend on either collaros or nichols for a full season, and we streveler isnt ready to start that many games a year yet.

Last year he was better then any nichols year other then 2017. While he had a piss poor ol, run game, team and offensive game plan. And 2017 nichols had the best OL in the modern of the cfl. The same people who dump on him seem to be the same people who want to credit QBs with wins. Despite him beating us once, and averaging more passing yards against us over 2 games then any blue bomber qb has thrown for in a game in 2 and a half years. (i know i know passing yards are meaningless, even though rushing yards and harris' receiving yards are super important, yards are yards) I think a large chunk of people who hate MBT do so out of a fear that he does succeed and we will have passed on him at a position where we havent had a real star since khari jones.

QFT. I think if you can get MBT and a guy like zach or nichols to back up on an incentive laden deal its the best case scenario. If you are gonna make good use of the read option package, streveler is well worth having as a 3rd stringer as well. Then you dont have to worry about him getting hurt nearly as much, or putting him in should the starter get hurt and losing the change of pace etc. And you lock in his great short yardage play and holding too. Nice, It does happen where pending FAs are traded before the start of FA (especially with QBs) so a specific team can take run at a guy solo rather then face open market. It wouldnt be much but it is a possibility.

Thats kinda true, But I dont think 50-100k difference from him to harris is that big. The REAL hand cuffs in BC is ed hervey. This off season i feel like you can easily roll the dice on 2 good qbs for that total. Player to player id take MR, factor in deals and I would rather get 2 Fas then go with harris.
-
Harris played his best football and was comparable to a down MR in a poor offense. Head to head I would take Reilly over harris and its not even close. Harris is still a guy that struggles to find the end zone especially when you need a score and much like Henry burris his turn overs come at bad times. The biggest difference in those situation is calgary has made a dynasty out of dumping players at the right time and going young. Next man up. And calgary has a starter on the bench behind blm right now. Dont know if they will pull the plug on BLM or not, but I would.

yeah pretty much, though with his athletic ability and football skills I think he can be a look at me kind of guy. I think the big difference between his season and JSK season was our LBer usage. Though jsk was more of a hitter, I prefer the sound tackling of kyrie in that respect. It will be interesting to see if our useage next year is different and if we see a drastic change in kyrie and bighills stats. must be a lock now that streveler will be back lol.

His speed and range were incredible. I think he would have done better up here then Ray Lewis. Yes soo much. Gl stoping Clowney too. Maybe the most unstoppable would be the athletic tes though. Big strong fast vs Sam and DBS 30-40 lbs lighter it'd be Mike sellers gone wild.

Our lb core didn't play nearly as well as they did the previous year but they filled a different role. Wilson made some fantastic plays but didn't perform at a level that likely gets an NFL deal or a huge contract. About the only way we don't bring him back is if we got a ratio breaker like judge at a good deal but I don't see that happening. Glad yoshi is back off season is off to a great start.

as long as the players are over 6' tall. 🤣

Fantastic news, the whole canadian mafia returns! Screw dickenson.
-
In that case i really hope they dont do some thing similar with mcdoodoo.

Streveler is underdeveloped as a passer, and really needs an offense designed around him. Im not talking about just running packages. He has great arm talent. He isnt joe montana, and the lapo offense doesnt suit him well. Hes a more aggressive passer, shots down field, medium range lasers at the seam, if any thing more like what fajardo does. He does need to take another step forward as a passer, especially in reading and running an offense. His decision making isnt where it needs to be to be considered for a starting spot.
-
I suspect they would go BPA. Thats what they normally do, they just dont evaluate talent the same as others around the league. Its a really talented top end to the draft. If we go OL, I hope its a futures guy. Some one that can go back to college or will kick around the nfl a while. I think another year will clarify the logjam of really good canadian OL we have right now. Bennett is an awesome prospect and we all love to have the local players. I can even imagine having him rotate with kongbo (if he ends up back). I would love jeffcoat and wj back. But kongbo and bennett would be an insane rotation.

Dinwiddie seems really rushed as a HC. It could work, but man he is not a guy id want to count on to make the play offs this year or next. The way the argos went about this is really poor, and reflects badly on them. It would have been easy to clean house or even just take time to decide. But every thing out of TO was pro chamblin staying. Milanovich, im kind of surprised he came back. Im kind of surprised hes right back to being a HC too. This off season was shaping up to be really interesting and the front office / coaching decisions alone have been a bit wild. Its nice for once not to have a coach thats bad for the league / makes the league look bad. Once hervey is toast the purge should be complete. Right now Id put the chance that buck becomes our OC at 80%. With a small chance they try for some one like chapdelaine or condell as a OC/ast HC. I wouldnt mind it if they brought back bob dyce as an ast OC to buck. But I think hes trending towards higher jobs.

How About that Other Worldly Play-Off Defense?
wbbfan replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Thats true, but the unit and play call they went to in the play offs would have performed much better during the regular season. -
Lockheed martin doesnt likes this comment.

How About that Other Worldly Play-Off Defense?
wbbfan replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Swaggervile had some incredible individual talents. the 2019 unit got it done though, with out the need to be tacky, and with much better team play. -
I hope one of the other two goes with masoli.
-
I agree. This management group isnt that type. This is a huge opportunity to grow the bombers market share. The team has a key opening at OC, Mos deal isnt done yet, and lots of big FA holes. I doubt they will have the money to bring every one back, mean while two of our top execs are top candidates to also be poached. Every ones getting WBB GC merch for the holidays.

I think we will just see teams spending even more at the QB position, rather then less at starter. I think all the other positions will take a hit to make up for it.
