Exactly. Weve seen mop candidate QBs fold in the GC, and average or worse QBs dominate. The GC is about who gets hot, and wants it more. Can he carry us through a season and to a GC game right now? Not likely over the course of a season. But he doesnt have to. Its late in the year, our play off ticket is punched, and we have a team that doesnt need to be carried. We have the best RB of the era healthy and with a large chip on his shoulder. We have arguable the best D in the league, a D that can do it all. We have guys who have won it all, and tremendous leaders on both sides of the ball. Weve seen Streveler dominate at times, you cant by any means expect it from him consistently currently. But he is capable of contributing heavily to team wins against any one in the league. Weve had to make due with worse before.

To an extent, we will continue to see more of this league wide. Defensive end has a wealth of huge athletic freaks and high pedigree pass rushers. Mean while the cfl prototype qb is still the smaller 6' shade over 200 guy. And still we see a lot of 3/4 arm slot passers. That means a low release point vs a very high escape point. You need look no further then the insane amount of KDs that willy has. The pass selection stinks though. The 2nd play is rookie stuff too. Chopping feet, indecisive, throwing short and into a pile of bodies.

Plus he doesn't get plays and routes designed for deep throws. We saw a bunch of drops against MTL, and we don't have a guy we can go to on 50/50 deep balls. His ball placement has been really good giving guys the chance to catch and run far more then we've seen in the past. He needs to improve his consistency throwing catchable Balls on the run but he's improving and young. He wants and tries to create TDs in the red zone and has given up turn overs trying too hard. But I'll take those learning lumps with that aggression.
