Walby was great too. And imo when sports net had CFL games they had the best camera work.

Thrilling game. The wave was especially awesome even though like 4 rider fans participated. Some good rider fans on the bus in and out though
-
Bailey had a great game. Streveler as our primary runner is scary. Augustine had a big play again but again other wise looked slow hitting the hole. A bit better in pass pro though. Harris can't come back soon enough.
-
1 streveler. Some hard gutsy runs for first downs big and small passing plays lead the team to a win. 2 WJ monster game again. The whole dl especially the inside had big games too. 3 Rose with a big pick saving points Hh grant TD return to really step on the throat.
-
Insane. And whats worse is that kind of thing only encourages more, and retribution. Shame on the league.
-
All the new starters have had monster games this year. But some people are stuck in the mind set of not being able to recognize any thing greater then mediocre.

I love demski and think he can be a great dynamic play maker. But He would be better served in a rotational package role rather then a starter. Especially now when he could be taking a decent chunk of RB reps. Petermann is like jamie stoddard, with an imports athleticism and wade millers heart, and toughness. We need to get him involved before he decides to go some place he will get used as a FA.
-
He has such a great repoire with cody I cant see him being the odd man out. With a young novice starting QB chemistry with a WR is huge. Just like woli was for streveler last year. That would indeed be an issue for them.

Right? I mean how do you expect to draw in good coaches when you treat them like that? They have some talent on the ol but holes. And no continuity. You cant buy that, you just gotta take your lumps and let guys grow into a unit. Idk how chiu has done as an OL coach. And he isnt some random ncaa/hs that no one knows. Hes been coaching ol in the cfl for like 5+ years, he was a great player and iirc a leader in the PA etc. Hes played with and coached with half of the front offices in the league. This is how you end up like Reed in montreal, where you cant attract good in league coaches and have to rely on in experienced cfl coaches. Agree, though im hoping for the best. If he did get canned in edm, he would be employed else where im sure. His rope hasnt run out just yet. Though coaches with him never have long term staying power. Idk about claybrooks following him but I can certainly see lapo in ott and claybrooks being sent packing. Dont think campbell runs out of leash just yet as a HC either. A dark horse, if lapo is a FA idk or as a semi promotion to ast gm or w/e, I could see him ending up in Montreal with his old protege Khari Jones.

Hervey is a tool. League lucked out in chris jones leaving in the off season, now it just needs hervey and maas to follow suit. Sadly I think maas will be around a while.

I dont believe it was ever reported that McAllister refused a PR spot. It was certainly speculated at on here but I never say it confirmed any where. If he was and refused at first it could be the grim reality of the situation has dawned on him. Not many guys go from cfl TC cut to NFL signee. He isnt getting younger, and every year another handful of guys just like him turn pro. Sucks about santiago but makes sense. Been an awful year for injuries. Surprised flanders didnt get the call. Friesen isnt worth wasting time on. Hope they are just resting.
-
He probably thought that if he performed at a top level he would be elevated or maybe that the injuries would give him a couple games of opportunity.
-
Didnt he call his own plays for a while here too as a starter? Buck is gonna get his shot at being an OC. Idk how he will do at putting together his own playbook or how much plop has influenced him but he is a good positional coach at worst.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
wbbfan replied to B-F-F-C's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He particularly had 2 plays where he stepped up into the pocket and threw the ball down field with poise and authority it was a really great sign that he can turn the corner as a pro passer. He isnt a No1 guy yet, and doesnt have to be at his age. Id be happy if he was a no2 next year too. -

Pass rush is how you beat the pass in general but look at his oline too awful. Give me a competent play call and a 2 qb system between mbt and streveler. -
The refs have been letting waay too much of this stuff go. It needs to stop before some thing really ugly happens. He isn't bad by any means. He isn't great and he is incredibly raw for a guy his age. He has extraordinary tools though. And is producing well in probably the worst circumstance in the league right now.

Not changed no. Need to see him continue to improve and the play calling has sucked. It wasn't good far too often with Nichols and Harris. With out them it hasn't adapted at all. Don't know if steveler is the qb of the future. But I hope he sticks around so we can find out. I don't feel like plop is the oc to stay with now more then ever. I do wish we still had MBT but who knows how he'd do in this system too -
Riderfans gonna be riderfans

We need some one in the back field who can block, a better game plan and better tackling at three second level.
-
The multiple holding calls on us and misses against them was infuriating. He did similar to what Nichols does. Enough to win but not enough to carry to a win. The play calling was poor most of the game that suicide pa screen for instance and Augustine's pass pro was awful.
-
1 WJ. Tons of pressure again today. 2 rose huge pick and two big break ups 3 lawlers 4 big catches. TD and two big first downs HH Augustine's 55 yard run
-
Next man up approach and an angry bomber team rallying around it's missing leader with a bounce back game from streveler. 27-9
-
Other teams run their offense through a RB too and can still put up 4th quarter first downs...
-
It's both qb and oc. The problem isn't one dimensional. No wr is gonna look great in our system.
-
Not his fault but yes. I can see him nominated possibly but he wont win sadly.
