  1. came back through 2 or 3 catastrophic knee injuries and still looked dangerous. If his body held up in the nfl he would have had a terrific career down south. Too bad. Kinda sad the state of our returners in the last 30 years or so.
  2. Never watched it. Thats too bad. Guess he is focusing on coaching track.
  3. when'd that happen?
  4. Probably for a chance to get real reps and play so that he can go back to the nfl with momentum and get more then a depth role. Id still like to see trent corney back and rotating on the edge, gonna be hard for anyone to crack that lineup. We had some excellent young talent at bookend last year that never stood much of a chance too.
  5. Long arms, amazing jumping ability and quickness. If this guy harnesses a fraction of his raw talent he will be a force in either league.
  6. But in a terrible offensive system and with a lousy qb. Still put up darvin adams level numbers in half a season. Oh I wouldnt pay him serious money by any means but he is worth a shot. Low risk high reward type of move.
  7. 2700+ yards 19 tds and 800+ YAC in 2016/2017 (combined) with some of the worst OCing and Qbing in the last couple years. Half a season last year and still wouldve put up darvin adams numbers in a full season. Yeah, id take him today hands down.
  8. Wouldve looked great in blue n gold.
  9. Calhoun is an odd duck. Has played very very little football.Listed as playing 1 year for the bearcats, but their site says he played the opener of that season then not again. And played 1 full? year at Kentucky state d2, but turned that into time with 2 nfl teams. Reminds me of MBT, must be a physical specimen. We sure tend to dig up some interesting guys, and dig deep.
  10. love HISHE soo much
  11. Could be deflated by every other passing play targeting banks too. At this point everyone left in the FA market has questions. We gotta pick our poison now.
  12. does mlse know the argos exist? does any one in toronto?
  13. thats what 1290 was reporting this morning. Could have a good relationship with franklin, could be an east coast guy, FAs dont always pick the best teams. (henoc muamba rule)
  14. I assume he has no idea what cost of living is like in toronto vs wpg.
  15. I feel like our NI WR group is better than our IMP WR group. which is a strange thing in the CFL. Looking at the guys listed as FAs on the cfl site id ideally like to see us bring in 2 of, arceneaux, roosevelt, chris wiliams, dresller, and terrence toliver. Maybe take a flier on mcdaniel, myles white again, or juron criner. Toliver would bring a big body to the red zone, arceneaux is that deep threat / big play guy and has the best chance to bounce back big next year, Williams would be a really interesting fit in our offense if plop used him well. Any of those first tier guys (for whats left) would be a good pick up. And if we had to shake someone loose in camp should someone like diontae spencer, duke williams etc come free it's not a big step back to cut em. We didnt, because we had more FAs then any other team we had more spots to fill. It seems to me like we do have a good chunk still left since we allegedly offered the same money to walker TO did.
  16. The truth in this statement makes me soo sad.
  17. Hes does actually. Because that exact same thing happened to wolitarsky when nichols came back.
  18. You cant get production if you dont invest the attempts, and the scheme time in a guy. And then, you still have to get him the ball. Production doest win games, quality of play wins games. Bowman was a high production low quality guy. We dont need that. He didnt catch short passes. Thats revisionists history.
  19. Exactly, if we get walker the guy at the bottom is out. who ever that is, and we are better for it.
  20. Except he had a lot of catches deeper then 10 yards. Go look at his game log and the longest catch in each game. Or go back and watch some of his plays, the guy is dynamite down field beyond 15 yards.
  21. Youre right, but if anything he would project HIGHER with better usage. We saw woli tearing the cfl up with streveler. in comes nichols, and he gets forgotten about for an extended period of time. Then gets worked back in and lights it up again. The same way weve gone away from harris for long stretches when he is playing great, or only give him a couple of touches in an entire half of football.
  22. 72.5% completion rate to thompkins, 55.4% to adams. in 17 games adams had 9 plays of 30 yards or more and 224 YAC yards. in 11 games thompkins had 3 and 126 YAC yards.
  23. in 12 starts, being underused, with a lot of struggle at QB. Its quality of play, not stats. He isn't 31 now, and isn't a rookie now either. It's more like confirmation bias at play. We didn't have enough big-play production at WR. Sure we didn't USE the imp wrs well, and sure we didn't protect the QB as well last year, and sure the level of play at QB was a drop off last year, but the WR didn't get stats and is 30! Adarius bowman was target 4 and a half times per game last year. Thompkins was targeted under 4 times per game. Lankford was targeted 4.5 times per game, dressler 5.25, 6.5 for darvin adams etc. If you take the attempts to darvin adams, have them caught at thompkins catch rate over thompkins YPC average, you get just under 1200 yards in less then 18 games. Despite being under used, poorly used, and in a situation where we struggled to protect the qb, and get the ball down field.
  24. he didnt give essentially zero. thats the point. he made a ton of tough catches in traffic and picked up good YAC.
  25. wilder didnt live up to the previous expectations after forcing a raise in the previous offseason. Id still take him over sutton though.
