  1. For me the difference between good and great is that good is stagnant and great is always growing and evolving. Medlock is always improving and working on new stuff that provides him his edge. He doesn't have the strongest leg or best raw tools in the cfl. Nichols has never become more then he was late in the year he took over for willy. At times he is a game manager. Occasionally he has flashed signs of brilliance. More often then being brilliant though he's been Mia for long stretches of games.
  2. In the past issues with Nichols have been around production consistency. He'd disappear for half's at a time. But played his best ball late in games and post season. Now while thats still an issue, his biggest issue is lack of poise when pressured. That problem is much more worry some. He's gone from a sub elite qb that would flash being better here n there to playing at or below replacement level. Baring injury it would take some thing extreme for the Canadian mafia to make a change this season. And while I like streveler I haven't seen the step forward from him this year as a passer he needs to take.
  3. All of the pro Nichols crowd groupies have turned Houdini. Speedflex has just been pragmatic about it the entire time.
  4. Right now, any team in the league can defeat our pass game by blitzing. And every one knows it. Some thing drastic needs to happen and improve before ld.
  5. It's true he may or may not win. Virtually every team in the league is on qb2 right now. And future stars are always abound. Some Ricky ray driving a Frito truck or Kurt Warner bagging groceries. Nichols failed to win the game when put in a great position tnite. Didn't even need to score just move the ball and finish the game. And lost it last week. May or may not win is better then won't win and might lose you the game. But you're right. Mos won't make the change him self any time soon.
  6. A few guys played their hearts out. Exume with the TD saving tackle too. But yeah was ugly and pathetic
  7. Yep Nichols has a mile of leash it's gonna take some thing big for him to make that change. We only saw one play from the streveler package tonight
  8. Those last two drives of the third quarter. Cover zero d was bad too
  9. Chicken and the egg. Both had another lousy game.
  10. A big part of it yes. We had some dumb penalties and the fumble in the redzone. Plus abandoning the run. But Nichols can't beat the pass rush. When you can't put up one first down to win the game late that's sad. This offense has to look long and hard in the mirror.
  11. Not nearly every one to blame. D played well out side of prevent. Great on the front seven. Ol and Harris played phenomenally well.
  12. One first down on that last offensive two and out series and we win the game
  13. They torched our cover zero pack all night
  14. 1 harris. Beast mode running. Shouldn't have gone away from him. 2 WJ. Knock downs sack pressure tackles for loss. Best game so far in blue. 3 bighill. Side line to side line tackles. HH Kongbo with the early pass knock down
  15. havent checked it out. It would be pretty big if paramount picked that up, I mean it would increase their number of shows by 33%
  16. Yup. Some times even great talent evaluators get lucky.
  17. Zylstra and duke are guys who would improve every team in the league.
  18. Often times bad pro teams have a lot of good talent. And that confusion can set in. Though what else should he say in his position. Also with his lack of time on active rosters, he may not know the differences between good teams and bad teams. Or jones. One of the two. Id rather see bailey play. Whiteheads contribution just by his active threat of speed and how it draws the defense is huge. Its hard to double any one else when you have him running down the seam, faking screens etc. He has an effect on the opposing defense that we havent seen in a very very long time.
  19. He was removed from the 6 game and eligible to return the other day but wasn't at camp. So this isnt entirely surprising. (other then the fact some one else was willing to give up an asset for him) Same ole argos. In cases like this (and willy) the other team should be getting a psych eval instead of a medical dr to do a check up.
  20. The way toronto is going right now, we could probably trade drew willy to them again for a kings ransom.
  21. hes been a soup can crusher, and not even a particularly impressive one at that. But the guy has potential and is better then the broken shell of ZC. Toronto clearly expects him to start for some reason. If I was them I would protect the arms and look for a qb who can run for his life.
  22. Doesnt matter what they intend, they have no ability to execute. The riders are now insanely thin at QB. If Fajardo gets hurt or struggles really bad they have no one to call. I wonder if TO makes a move now. Has the MBT and or Franklin era now ended?
